11 Bucket List Bullet Journal Ideas

Sharing is caring!

Bullet Journal ideas can transform your planning into a creative adventure, and in this post, I want to share something very special with you.

If you’re looking to add a spark of inspiration to your pages, why not explore the world of bucket lists? A Bullet Journal bucket list is more than just a collection of dreams—it’s a visual roadmap to your best life.

These lists can help you stay motivated and enjoy life on a whole new level. In this post, I’ll share unique bucket list ideas I’ve created, designed to inspire your journaling journey and make days that much more fun and exciting.

I truly believe that your Bullet Journal doesn’t have to be all just about one thing, like planning your days or just about being productive.

A Bullet Journal is a multi-purpose instrument, and it’s totally fine to use it for fun or for adding more excitement to your life in general. And one of my favorite ways to do it is with a bucket list.

A bucket list is a wonderful way to help you get out of your comfort zone, as well as start thinking outside the box about what you want your life to look like.

With all the responsibilities and chores that fill our day-to-day life, it’s easy to get lost and see time flying by while you’re just following the familiar moves and routines.

But the beauty and excitement of life is in stepping out of your usual routine, in going out there in the world and doing things that you love! A bucket list is exactly that! It helps you remember all the wonderful things that lie outside of your day-to-day routines and pushes you to try and do more, adding a bit more spice to life.

At least this is a mindset that I usually follow. Without a bucket list, I often miss out on experiences I would have enjoyed, but just didn’t think about them because I was too tired and couldn’t be bothered to think of doing anything other than the couch and Netflix.

That ‘s why I love buicket lists so much – you make it once and it will always be there, a ready list of activities so you don’t need to spend any energy at all thinking it through.

And there is a bucket list for anything you can think of – your life bucket list, seasonal bucket lists, bucket lists for travel or restaurants you want to visit. You just need to think of something you’re interested in, and you can easily create a complete bucket list!

In this post, I’ll be sharing some of the bucket lists I’ve created to inspire your next bucket list page. And be sure you scroll until the end to get more ideas, as well as some FREE printables.

Stationery Recommendations

Before we dive into the layouts, however, let’s talk about stationery. After all, this is the fastest way to make creative and fun Bullet Journal pages.

Here are my favorites:

  • Sakura Pigma Micron – a great fineliner is a must-have for any Bullet Journal spread, and these are some of the best for sure!
  • Tombow Dual Brush Pens – they have a lot of beautiful colors, so you can find some for any style and season. Plus, they are great for adding color and brush lettering!
  • Washi Tape – there are many wonderful washi tapes out there, and you can definitely find some that would fit our aesthetics.
  • Tombow Fude Pens – brush lettering adds style and character to any Bullet Journal spread, and I think it would be amazing for Fall-themed pages as well.

I can talk about stationery forever, so let’s just close this topic here and start getting inspired by these bucket lists!

Bucket List Bullet Journal Ideas

Time for me to share with you my bucket lists! And I must say that there is a trend here – I love doing seasonal lists.

I will take it as an inspiration and see what kind of other bucket lists I can create to add more fun to my day-to-day life.

Meanwhile, let’s dive in and see some layouts I’ve made so far.

Fall Bucket List Ideas

Let’s start with fall bucket lists, since actually these are the ones I have been creating the most.

To be fair, I love fall colors and fall doodles, which might be why I keep coming back and making new ones almost every year.

Starting with this one, which I decided to call a fun bucket list, even though it’s very clear that it’s all about fall activities.

This is a pretty simple list, and I only wish I had added little checkboxes next to each activity, since there is actually enough space for it, and that way I could track which of these I actually did that year.

This bucket list is probably one of my favorite ones to date. I love that I did the doodles in more detail, and since it’s a B6 journal, I had enough space to include ALl the things I wanted to do.

In case you wonder, I used Karin Brushmarkers for the colors here, since they have incredibly bright colors and look absolutely amazing, especially for anything fall-themed. I really miss them!

This is my first-ever bucket list, so it will always have a special place in my heart. It is definitely much less colorful, but I love that instead I got to play with different fonts and lettering styles.

Again, this is more like a big list of all the things I enjoy during the season, rather than an exact list of the things I have decided to definitely do. Look at this more like a mood board.

The last fall bucket list for now is this bright and colorful one, which again I created with my favorite markers to use for fall.

Since the doodles are so bright and colorful, I have not done anything special with the lettering, but I think it created a good contrast – bright and colorful doodles vs simple text.

Christmas Bucket List

When it comes to different holidays, I bet you can create a bucket list for each as well.

After all, with each holiday comes a lot of fun and unique activities you can enjoy while excitedly preparing for the big day. At the time I created this bucket list, Christmas was the biggest holiday for me, and so this is the one I chose.

I feel like I still missed out on a lot of fun activities one could do when it ‘s the Christmas season. I think probably in each country there are different traditions as well, so it would be something interesting to explore.

Spring Bucket List

Next up is a spring bucket list. With spring being a time to wake up from a slump of cold winter months, it’s a perfect time to create a bucket list and remind yourself of all the wonderful things you can enjoy when the weather is a bit better.

For spring, I have two bucket lists to share, and one of them is actually my favorite list I’ve ever created.

This bucket list has a bit of a different name, but at heart it’s still a bucket list. In this case, I just went very detailed with all the things I enjoyed during the warmer months.

I also found it pretty helpful to have several different categories of activities, because it allows me to easily pick something that fits my current mood and energy levels.

This is definitely my favorite bucket list ever! I think because of the green paper color, it really makes it stand out so much!

If you look at it, I simply used a white gel pen to create almost the entire list. But the contrast just looks so good! And adding a shadow helped make the doodles stand out.

Oh, and in case you are looking for a good white gel pen, Sakura Gelly Roll is definitely the best one to use.

Summer Bucket List

Summer is my favorite season – the weather is perfect, you have more energy to do ALl the things, and generally life seems to slow down a bit so you can enjoy it all a bit more.

It’s also the season that starts with my birthday, so I guess that has something to do with that as well.

Either way, there is a lot to add to your bucket list, and let’s see a few lists that I created.

As somebody who loves doodling, of course, this list is also full of fun little doodles. I really love how doodles give a visual representation of things; it allows you to process information faster, and it’s extra fun to create.

I think it’s also interesting that this is my list from 2020, and so it has a lot of non-social activities.

Here is a different approach to a bucket list: creating a list of the things you want to do.

I must say, this is my least favorite format, even though it was fun drawing all the doodles I used as a frame for the list.

Here is a summer bucket list that I actually created as part of a workshop I hosted on Foxsy. If you want to create this one together with me, you can always see the recording, together with tons of other workshops available on the platform.

I want you to step-by-step through creating each detail of this layout as we create it together. Plus, you’ll get several doodel tutorials to help you recreate it even better.

Winter Bucket List

Last but not least is a winter bucket list.

I must admit, winter is my least favorite season – lack of sun, cold weather, rain, and extra sweaters to wear at home just always bring me down, no matter where in the world I live.

But maybe this is why I had to push myself to create a winter bucket list, so I can remind myself of all the good things you can still enjoy during the season.

As you can see, I also went for a similar look as I did with mt spring bucket list. I find that just by changing the paper color, you can get a lot of interesting effects on your pages.

And having white doodles works very well for the winter season, wouldn’t you agree?

And there you go, for now, these are all the bucket lists I’ve created, but after writing this post, I really feel like I want to create more!
