Best Doodling Supplies
Before we look into the tutorials, let’s have a quick word on some stationery that I think will help you enjoy doodling more.
Of course, you can use anything you already have, but if you want a bit more, here are my favorites that I’m sure you will love as well:
- Notebook. I always think it’s a good idea to have a separate doodling notebook; that way, you have a journal with doodle ideas, and you can see your progress. You don’t need anything fancy for that; Lemome Dotted Bullet Notebook works just as well.
- Pencil and eraser. A pencil is your secret weapon when it comes to doodling. Start all your doodles with a pencil, and you’ll be able to avoid a lot of errors and make it look better before you use a pen. You need a pencil with a comfortable grip and an eraser that won’t leave any streaks. I recommend Pilot Dr. Grip pencil and Sakura Foam eraser.
- Fineliners. These are the best pens to do your doodling, and I definitely recommend using Sakura Pigma Micron – they come in a set with different nib sizes, so you get a variety of line thicknesses.
- Colorful markets. If you like color on your doodles like I do, you’ll want to get some markers. I always recommend Crayola Super Tips, because they come in a pack of 100 colors and are very affordable.
Ok, now you have all your supplies ready, let’s dive in and look at some cute winter doodles that are easy to draw for you right away.
Easy Cute Winter Doodles
Winter is the perfect doodling season. You can cozy up with a hot cocoa, your favorite pens, a warm blanket, and fully dive into the winter vibes.
I find it especially comforting if you can actually stay home in the warmth while it's snowing outside.
But no matter what winter looks like wherever you're at, you can bring any vibes you want to your next doodling session, and here are a few inspirations for some fun doodles you can do this season.
Let's start with a little winter doodle tutorial I've created. I think this was for my winter bucket list, so it's more about activities I can enjoy during this season.
I love these doodles; they look so cute and adorable in their own imperfect style. Somehow, this doodling style makes them feel warmer and closer to me. Would you agree?
This is a set of winter doodles I created for my cozy doodling session. I think they look cute on kraft paper - perfect for cold winter evenings. And as you can see, you can create something pretty even if you just use one pen.
Speaking of doing a lot with just one pen, here are some more doodling inspirations, and as you can see, you can create a lot with just one pen; you don't need a lot of colors to create a chilly winter feeling.
The creator called this winter hibernation, and it suits the season so well. These are definitely doodles for all the cozy activities I enjoy during this time.
This page looks incredible, and the doodles are lovely. I almost have a feeling that half a page is in color and half is in black and white! I also must admire the way the creator used grey to create that almost frozen tree effect.
Here are a few little doodles that are full of color and still perfectly represent the season and all the amazing winter activities you can do.
Living in Portugal, snowy winter is something I sometimes miss, but maybe just for the activities, I'm quite sure I'd be fed up with cold and snow after a few hours.
I like how the creator played with the black and white contrast by filling out parts of doodles in black. I think it really helps make them stand out and look a bit more interesting.
Dodoling doesn't have to be overly complicated. In fact, the whole point of doodling is drawing something in the easiest possible way! And I really like how these doodles contrast with the black paper.
And in case you're wondering, these were made with Acrylograph Pens by Archer & Olive (you can get 10% OFF with my code MASHA10).
These doodles look incredible, and I absolutely adore the color scheme the artist chose here. Yes, they are pretty Christmas-coded, but most of them work perfectly just for winter as well, especially if you try a different color palette.
Christmas is part of winter, maybe even the best part if you ask around, so I definitely had to include here some Christmas doodles, especially when they are step-by-step and are as cute as these!
If you're looking for some more traditional doodle ideas, I've got you covered with these amazing tutorials. I love this creator's style, and they definitely make doodling more accessible to everyone.
These look absolutely stunning. The creator used pencils, I think, and it really gave me that retro-cozy vibe I rarely see these days. Absolutely perfect for winter doodles!
Here are a few easy-to-follow tutorials for some winter staple doodles. In just a few steps, you can have these cute doodles on your journal pages as well!
I love when the creator chooses something more niche, like this was about winter essentials and suddenly you can see so much inspiration for winter clothing drawings! And the colors are beautiful.
These are very easy to doodle things, and yet they perfectly capture the holiday season. I also really like how the artists chose the very traditional color combination here.
Even though the artist says these are December doodles, I think most of them can easily work in most months of winter; you might just add a few adjustments with the colors to make them less Christmas-coded. Either way, these doodles look adorable!
I love the header the creator used for these doodling tutorials, and I think the doodles they chose perfectly encapsulate the cold and beautiful winter.
Last but not least are these beautiful and very detailed winter doodles with all the essentials you need to not just survive but thrive in the cold months.
