Stationery recommendations
Let’s have a quick chart about stationery. You definitely can use any pens and markers you already have. But if you’re looking for getting something extra for your reading pages, I have a few things I’m sure you’ll love.
Here are my recommendations:
- Calliograph pens. They come in beautiful colors and have two brush tips, so you can use them for coloring and for creating different sizes of headers. (you can also get 10% off with my code MASHA10)
- Fineliners. These are the blood of every Bullet Journal page, and I recommend getting these ones.
- Book stencil. An easier and definitely faster way to add book doodles to your Bullet Journal.
- Letter stamps. I feel like it fits so well with all the book pages. And it will allow you to have many fun and unique headers.
I hope you check these out, and these supplies will inspire you to create your own unique reading journal pages. Ok, let’s dive in and look at all the ideas I found for you.
Reading Bullet Journal Ideas To Try Today
Ok, time to dive in and look at a few ideas for your reading-related Bullet Journal pages. In this post, I gathered inspirations from different creators, so you get not only different ideas, but also a wide variety of styles and designs.
And of course, if you want, simply check the links at the end of this blog post.
Let's start from probably the most widely spread idea, and it's a book tracker. You can use it as a layout for books you've read, or maybe as a bookshelf for all the books you want to read.
This layout looks a lot like a future log, but it is a great idea if you're reading a lot of modern books and are waiting for the new releases from your favorite authors. That way, you'll always be on top of what your next new read should be.
I feel like there are a lot of series that are worth checking out, but with the total number of books for each, it can be overwhelming trying to keep track. This is when this layout will be useful - that way, you can easily jump between different series and never skip any books.
Just like with all habits, sometimes to get into the daily reading, you need some extra help. This tracker helps you see how you're doing with your reading habits, and I love how the creator even color-coded the number of pages read.
If you read a lot, you might consider trying out a monthly summary like this one, with all the books you've read and ratings.
Sometimes it might be more fun to turn your reading into a game, and choose the next book that way, rather than agonising over making the impossible choice between all the things you want to read.
Here is one more book tracker, and this person definitely reads much more than I, so you can see they used two pages to fit all the books they are planning to read.
I lvoe creating quiote pages. They are a fun way to explore your creativity. And books are full of amazing quotes that inspire, motivate, and teach us. So why not create a layout with your favorite book quotes?
The best way to achieve a result is to set goals and then track your progress. This is precisely what this combination of pages does!
Sometimes you just need something extra to motivate you, or to add social elements to your reading. And I think a challenge can do just that. Plus, of course, it can be a fun page idea to try as well.
I'm not sure about you, but I know I always get plenty of book recommendations and so rarely keep them in my mind. So when I finish the book, I feel lost not knowing what to read next. This layout will help you keep your reading wish list on one page and always have something to read.
Last but not least is this beautiful layout with a book review. I know I often forget what the books I read are about, and so layouts like this one will help you keep it in mind and keep all the lessons you learned as well.
Reading is a great way to improve your language skills, be it your native language or maybe a new one you 're learning. So it can be a fun idea to create a page with all the new words and expressions you learned.
