Stationery Recommendations
Of course, to create an “About Me” page, you’ll need some supplies. And even though you can create a beautiful page with already the thing you have. But you might want to get something extra.
So here are a few of my favorite supplies:
- Sakura Pigma Micron – fineliners are the basis of all your Bullet Journal pages, and you can’t go wrong with these. They also come with pens of different nib sizes, so you can have a wider variety of lines.
- Markers. If you want to add color to your page, you’ll need some markers. I love Tombow Twin Tone and Zebra Mildliners for their beautiful colors.
- Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens – these pens are perfect for beginners and will be a great help in adding beautiful brush lettering to your pages.
- Washi Tapes. They are an amazing way to add a spark of color and creativity to your pages, and it will be super fast as well!
Ok, hopefully you’re excited and looking forward to creating this layout in your dot grid journal, so let’s dive in!
About Me Journal Page Ideas
You can include pretty much anything you want to your "About Me" page, and there are even more different ways you can customise it. So here I gathered 21 ideas for you from different creators and in different formats, so you'll definitely find something that will spark your creativity.
Let's dive in!
This is one of the first about me pages I've ever created, and it's really one of my most popular pages in the Bullet Journal community.
The goal of this particular page was just to have a snapshot of the person I was in October 2019, and it is interesting now to look back and see what things changed and what stayed the same.
I really like how the creator used the almost acidic colors to contrast with the black elements. It really created a unique and beautiful effect. Only their handwriting is gorgeous!
I absolutely adore this disorderly and colorful layout. It looks so creative and it makes me smile with the happy colors I see here.,
This layout is super cute! The creator added just the basic information, but then they had more space for decorating it, which might've been the whole point. After all, decorating pages is really its own quiet and enjoyable activity.
I think this was my first about me page, and here I really tried to add as many details about all my different interests at the time.
As you can see, I really like having this format of a header in the middle of the page and building the rest of the layout around it,
This little page is cute, fun, and since the creator used a lot of stickers, I bet it was faster to set up as well. Just a little something to express yourself and leave a snapshot of your life.
Another way to approach an about me page is to just write a set of random facts about yourself. I love this approach; it makes it significantly easier, and I love how this creator also kept with the same color scheme.
This page looks lovely, and I adore the little doodles the creator added here. I also am impartial to the color used here, since it's my favorite Zebra Mildliners.
Another way you can decorate your about me page is by using brush lettering, like this creator did. It looks amazing, and it really makes the layout stand out. I also like that they added little shades to all the headers, making them pop from the page,.
This is an about me page in a usual A5-sized page, which is a bit too little space for me, so I concentrated on things that I felt were important for me and the way my life was in 2022 - what I'm happy about, what I'm grateful for, and a snapshot of some big things happening.
We've seen a lot of bright and colorful pages, but just using one black pen can look gorgeous too. It isn't really about supplies, but more about your own creativity, and Shanise is a very creative and talented person.
This layout looks like a little mind map, and I'm here for u! I also love the general aesthetic the creator used here with the subtle colors and black brush lettering.
This creator did something you don't often see - they used pencils for most of the colors, and it came out absolutely incredible! I love the soft look and the gentle feeling of using pencils.
As somebody who absolutely adores using kraft paper, I must say how special this layout looks. Simple things as small as a piece of kraft paper and some washi tape can really help to set the entire tone for the page.
I also love that the creator used differently styled boxes for each section. This adds a visual element to how information is organised, which is always helpful.
A fun way to make your about me page different is by experimenting with different fonts and colors for the text rather than doodles, washi tape, and stickers. This particular page is a fantastic example of this approach. And you can play around, with the size of your letters as well to highlight what is more important if you wish.
I could never pull off the "less is more" concept, but this creator absolutely nailed it! The big illustration in the middle in subtle tone sets the mood for the layout, and nothing else is really needed except for the information they wanted to add. Stunning!
A fun way to make your page stand out is by using different colored paper, like this creator who used black paper as the foundation for the layout. And in case you're wondering, pens like Sakura Gelly Roll are some of the best for such a page.
Another beautiful black and white layout, and I love how the creator added only little bits of color to make the important places on the page really stand out.
Love this layout, and how the creator used a cutout of a dot grid page to add some structure and guidelines to the page itself. And as you can see, they used a very fun way to not hide but highlight that there was a printable page added.
This creator really went for it, and I love the dedication. Twenty facts are a lot and they really beautifully combine drawings, next and other visual elements to make this a beautiful Nd very well organized layout.
Last but not least is this layout. The creator used a lot of extra elements like colorful paper, sand, and little postcards, and I love this fun and bright style.
