15 Inspiring Bullet Journal Self Care Ideas

Sharing is caring!

There are plenty of Bullet Journal ideas that can be a game-changer for self-care routines, and I’m here to share a few.

In todayโ€™s fast-paced world, itโ€™s easy to overlook the importance of taking time for yourself. Thatโ€™s where your Bullet Journal comes inโ€”a creative, customizable space to prioritize your well-being.

From mood trackers to gratitude logs, Iโ€™ve explored countless ways to use my journal as a tool for self-care.

In this post, Iโ€™m sharing my favorite Bullet Journal self-care ideas, straight from the pages of my own journal. These layouts are designed to inspire mindfulness, relaxation, and balance, helping you create a sanctuary of calm within your daily life.

I love my Bullet journal, and therefore I’m constantly on the lookout for new ways it can help me live a better life.

Self-care is not something I often pay attention to, and I think it is pretty common. So often it feels like we just don’t have time for it, like it’s something maybe selfish and something we’ll find time for later.

But the thing is, you can’t pour from an empty jug (is this how the saying goes), and it’s important to ensure you do spend time on yourself and show some self-love.

The best part of it for me was the realization that self-care doesn’t have to be a two-hour bubble bath or a weekend getaway; there are plenty of small things you can do every day to practice it, and of course, your Bullet Journal is there to help you.

So with years of Bullet Journal experience, I’ve gathered a few different page ideas that are well tested and proven to work, and these are the pages I’ll share with you today.

Oh, and be sure you scroll until the end to get the FREE Bullet Journal printables that can help you with self-care and so much more.

Stationery Recommendations

Before we dive into self-care page inspirations, let’s take a moment to discuss stationery, as you’ll need some supplies, and the choice out there can be overwhelming.

So, if you need some recommendations on the supplies to help you express your creativity:

  • Fineliners are the basis of all your Bullet Journal pages. I recommend Sakura Pigma Micron, and that set also comes with different nib sizes, so you can have a wider variety of line thicknesses.
  • Markers are what you’ll need if you want to add some color to your pages, and the choice of markers really depends on your color preferences. I’d recommend Crayola Super Tips since they come in many colors, are pretty affordable, and can also be used for brush lettering. For colors, my favorites are Zebra Mildliners and Tombow Twin Tone.
  • You’ll need brush pens if you want to add brush lettering to your Bullet Journal pages, which always elevates the look of your spreads. I’d recommend using Tombow Fudenosuke for smaller tip brush pens and Tombow Dual Brush for larger brush tips and more color options.
  • Washi tapes come in many colors and patterns and are an easy way to add more fun and creativity to your spreads. I’m sure you’ll be able to find something that fits your style and aesthetics.
  • Stickers are another little shortcut when it comes to decorating your spreads, and just like with washi tapes, there are so many different styles and types of stickers that you can definitely find ones that fit your style. My favorite places to shop for stickers are Etsy; RoseKPaperCo and ShineStickerStudio are my favorite sticker shops there.

With all your supplies at the ready, it’s time to get into the pages that helped me, and I’m sure will help you to express a bit more self-love every day.

Bullet Journal Self-Care Ideas

The best way to create a Bullet Journal that works for you is to try and experiment with the pages. And it’s important to always evolve.

Just as your life is changing, your Bullet Journal is changing with you. So if you ever feel like something is not working, it just means it’s time for a change.

Try a different page or a different format and see if this is still useful. And if it’s not, there is no shame in not using the page and letting go of the idea.

Another important thing is to also remember to not overdo it, don’t try to use ALL the pages at once, make sure you don’t overwhelm yourself, and start by trying one or two ideas.

With that important point clarified, let’s get into the ideas.

Mood Tracker

Let’s start with a mood tracker, which is one of the most important pages for your self-care. A mood tracker can help you track your emotions and, therefore, get a better understanding of how things make you feel.

It helps you pay more attention to your emotions and then use what you learned to build a happier life filled with things that bring you positive emotions.

Sleep Tracker

Another important thing you can do for self-care is to get enough sleep. I feel like sleep is always the first thing going down the drain when life gets busy. But it is a very important thing to ensure you’re feeling your best and giving your best every day.

A tracker like this one can help you see your sleeping patterns and figure out the best sleeping schedule that works for you.

Energy Replenish Ideas

One of the best ways to practice self-care is by doing something that helps you replenish your energy and feel like you’re ready to conquer the day.

For my list, I like to have sections for different types of activities, because, as you know, sometimes you need ice cream, and sometimes you need to talk to a friend.

Gratitude Log

Gratitude log is my favorite page ever; it’s such a simple practice, but it helps you build a happier mindset.

It’s easy, every day you spend a minute writing something you’re grateful for. This simple act helps you have a second for yourself and look into your life and things that make you happy.

Things To Do For My Health

Social health is very important for your self-care, and I think often these things get overlooked and not prioritized.

A simple layout like this can remind you of little simple things you can add to your daily routines and show yourself some love.

Comfort Things List

It’s always good to have a list of things that bring you comfort; that way, next time you’re down and in need of some assistance, all you really need is to just look at this list.

I also like using it as an idea on how I’ll be spending my time off, since my list has a lot of movie and TV show recommendations.

Self Care On The Go

I think we often think that self-care is something that has to take hours, and we delay it until we actually do have all that time. But in reality, there are plenty of quick things you can do as well.

Having a little list like that will give you quick ideas any time you feel like you need 20 minutes for yourself.

Routine Page

One of the best ways to practice self-care is by creating routines for yourself, and maybe including some self-love rituals in it.

Evening routine with some unwind rituals can be the most calming and quiet time for you, which is also very important for you to get a good sleep.

Self-Care Ideas

How often did it happen that you feel like you need some self-love, but you’re way too tired to decide on what exactly you can do?

The layout, like this one, is full of ideas, so you’ll just need to look into it and find the activity that you want to do.

Habit Tracker

The biggest changes in our lives come from small habits we do every day, and the same is true for our self-care.

Pick one or two things you want to do for yourself and use a habit tracker to help you make it an essential part of your days.

Self Care Bingo

Sometimes we all need some extra fun, and I think a self-care bingo is a great way to turn it into a game.

It’s not like you need an extra incentive to show yourself some love, but I think this format adds a bit of extra motivation to find just a bit more time for yourself and be kinder.

Meditation Tracker

Meditation is a wonderful habit for self-care; it helps you totally unplug and just be with yourself, diving deeper into your own mind. But it can be pretty hard to master.

That’s why it’s pretty useful to have a layout like this one, which can help you track your progress and ensure you’re working on making this practice your daily habit.

Things To Be Happy About

To be honest, simply creating this layout was a self-care activity for me. Doodling is very relaxing, and for this page, I also got to draw things that bring me joy.

But generally, this is a great page to have and to look back at, since it will surely help you have a second for yourself and appreciate your life for all the good things in it.

Skincare Page

Skincare is definitely a type of self-care, and it’s something most of us don’t skip on. But at the same time, there are many steps and a lot of ingredients to take into consideration, so it might be a good idea to create a layout with your routines.

My skin is definitely getting fewer steps now than it did on this page, but I still find it useful, especially for tracking days I do peeling or face masks, which should not be too often.

Hobby Page

Hobbies are self-care; they’re something that we enjoy doing, that brings us happiness, and allows us to unplug from the day-to-day worries.

You can create a page for your hobby, or maybe, like me, a list of other hobbies you want to try, so next time you’re bored, you know what to play with.

These are my self-care pages, but there are always more ideas, and other creators have their own different and unique style. So keep scrolling to get links to more posts for you to check out.
