About Me Page In Your Bullet Journal And Why You Need One
Out of all the Bullet Journal page ideas, an “about me” page is probably my favorite.
I find it bringing me a lot of value (and fun, of course), so I thought it was time to share all these experiences with you as well.
It offers a great way to reflect on yourself and get creative when it comes to designing the perfect space for who YOU are. So let’s explore this further: why do you need an “About Me” page in your Bullet Journal?
Hopefully, by the end of this post, Iโll have you convinced you need this page and inspired to start creating right away.

An โAbout Me” page is actually something I do pretty often and have at the beginning of every journal.
But the question is – what is this page, and why should you try it in your journal?
Letโs dive straight into it!
And be sure to scroll until the end to get some free printables and more resources.
What Is An โAbout Meโ Page
This is a trend that appeared quite a while ago, and I believe Nicole from @plansthatblossom was the first one who brought this page to the Bullet Journal community.

An โAbout Meโ page is like a blueprint of who you are at the moment of creating it. Itโs like a photo, but it represents more than just a crazy hair phase youโre going through at the moment. Believe me; I went through both of those and, yeah, not the same thing at all.
Itโs in many ways a memory-keeping page, only instead of keeping a memory of some events, itโs a memory of who you are as a person at that moment.
The cool thing about this page, just like about all things Bullet Journal, is that itโs totally up to you how you do it. You can be very serious about it, or can just create a silly fun page with your current favorite movies, songs, and desserts.
What To Include In Your โAbout Meโ Page
Just like I mentioned before, this is totally up to you.
Sometimes I just add random facts about myself; other times I go serious and want to add things like my achievements or new good habits.
Of course, Iโll give you here a few ideas.

General Profile
This can be a fun place to write some general facts about yourself. I like starting here because itโs easy to fill out, and itโs a great warm-up to get into the mood.
- Name
- Age
- Occupation
- Personality type
- Relationship status
- Place of residence
Random Facts
This is the one I find the most fun to see on other creatorโs pages but the most difficult to write about myself.
Itโs my life and I donโt really see that many random things being interesting to people. But then I remember itโs my page so really – it can be anything!
For me, I usually include how I lived in China (and then in Bolivia) and how much I love dogs. But here are a few more ideas:
- Whatโs your favorite dessert?
- Where do you usually journal?
- Whatโs your must-have wardrobe item?
- Do you have any tattoos?
- Whatโs something youโre very proud of?
- Whatโs your favorite thing to do to relax?
Likes / Dislikes
This one is pretty easy – just think of some things you really enjoy and some things that drive you crazy.
Here are some examples you can add to your โlikesโ section:
- Movies and tv shows
- Songs
- Ways to spend the day
- Season
- Sports
- Animals
- Food
I donโt have a list like that for dislikes since itโs a bit more personal. But I bet you can think of something even without my help.
Hobbies and Interests
Even if you just have one hobby it can be sure fun to write some fun facts about it.
For example, I love including for how long Iโve been Bullet Journaling, what are some of my favorite pens and how I ended up starting to begin with.
Dreams And Achievements
Itโs always great to put your dreams to the paper. If not to make them happen, then to just look at them in the future and remember how simple life was back then.

I remember the times when all I could dream of was a Nokia 3310 (kudos if you know what it was!) so I could send SMS to my friends and play the snake game. Oh, simple times and that wonderful innocent Masha.
But of course, putting your dreams to paper kind of turns them into goals as well, and subconsciously, youโll start seeing more ways to make them happen.
Putting your achievements and patting yourself at your back for making it happen is always a wonderful thing, knowing how often we put our victories aside and think more of the things we havenโt done yet.
So yeah, both of these are a great addition to your โAbout Meโ page.
Gratitudes
You probably know Iโm kind of a crazy person when it comes to using a gratitude log – I find it a powerful and motivational tool, even though I still skip some days because life happens. And by life, I mean Bruce.
So I thought it might be fun to add some gratitudes to your โAbout Meโ page as well. This wonโt only remind you again of some amazing things in your life but will help you to always remember them and to kind of build a better picture of where you were at this point of your life.
Habits
Ok, now we are definitely getting to a more self-improvement kind of area.
You might see I use my โAbout Meโ page often to see where I am in my personal development, so then in a year’s time, when I sit down to do yet another “About Me” page, I can look back and see how far Iโve come.
The thing I like to add is my habits. Habits are the small things that end up shaping our life, so when I manage to develop some good habits and get rid of negative ones – itโs really a big deal.
Thatโs why in my โAbout Meโ page, I also love adding some good habits I established and some Iโll be working on.

All these are just some of my ideas. The best part about this page is that itโs up to you what exactly youโll be adding there, so feel free to disregard all of this and come up with some absolutely different ideas.
Why Have An โAbout Meโ Bullet Journal Page
Ok time to answer the big one – why would you actually take the time to set this page up?
The obvious reason is that itโs fun! Itโs something to keep you occupied and creative. But there is more!
Creating an โAbout Meโ page often helps me to kind of figure out better where exactly I am at this stage of my life and what are some things Iโd like to change.

When you sit down to do it you start thinking about all the things you want to include, it becomes a bit of a self-reflection exercise.
This page is also a physical screenshot of your life and who you are at this moment. Youโll be able to always look back and see yourself.
Iโve been doing my โAbout Meโ pages for a while now, and itโs always so interesting to see how different I was, even if I create the page every year.
An โAbout Meโ page is also a great opportunity to take a moment and recognize and appreciate all the wonderful things you have in your life at the moment.
I feel like when you create this page, you automatically try to think of the good things, and sometimes you end up seeing things you wouldnโt otherwise. This is always a powerful and positive reason to pick up your pen and create this page.

Finally, this is a great way to preserve your memories. Itโs crazy how much you forget about your own life in time, but an โAbout Meโ page will stay there with you ready to remind you of wonderful moments and people you had in your life at that moment.
Ok, I hope with all of this I convinced you to give it a try, so letโs take a look at several โAbout Meโ pages and how to create one.
How To Create An โAbout Meโ Page
Here is the thing – there is no one way to create them, itโs individual, and you can create the page in any way you want.
Use doodles, stickers, and washi, or maybe do watercolor or go completely minimal and just use a black pen – itโs all up to you.
Instead, Iโll share with you some tips. Here are some of the things I do when creating my โAbout Meโ pages:
- Think of categories and information to include first
I always kind of start from a little list of things I want to include on my page. Since Iโm using them to mostly monitor my growth, I try to pick things Iโll be able to look back at and see the change I made.
So I add some habits I want to break, some of my Masha Plans statistics, some of my achievements, and a little section with things I think I should start working on, like calling my family more often.
- Start with a pencil sketch
This is something I do with all my pages – I always sketch them with a pencil first.
This helps to avoid mistakes to make everything fit and look centered. Itโs really my saving grace, and I canโt recommend this enough!
- Have fun!
The most important part, if you ask me, is to have fun! Donโt overthink or overcomplicate things; just go with what your creativity tells you and have fun with it.

Stationery Recommendations
Of course, you can use any stationery you already have. But I also always love to add some of my favorites.
So here they are:
- Sakura Pigma Micron – a good set of fineliners is a must-have in creating any Bullet Journal page.
- Zebra Mildliners – these are my favorite pens for adding color to my pages.
- Crayola Super Tips – amazing pens; they come in so many colors and are pretty affordable. I especially love that they can also be used for brush lettering.
- HP Sprocket – if you want to add some photos to your “about me” page, this is the printer to go. It doesn’t need any ink, and the printer paper is actually already a sticker.
