Whoever said keeping tabs on your finances had to be as dull as watching paint dry clearly never got their hands on a Bullet Journal. Bullet Journaling for budgeting is not just useful and impactful, it’s also fun and creative!
Having all your finances on paper gives you that oh-so-satisfying visual representation, allowing you to set solid goals and keep a keen eye on your progress.
And here’s where the fun part comes in—decorating! Your Bullet Journal doesn’t have to be a plain Jane; oh no, it can be as flamboyant or as minimalist as you like.
Fancy some washi tape borders around your savings tracker? Go for it. How about some doodles next to your expense log? Absolutely. The beauty of having your budget in your Bullet Journal is that it can be tailored to fit your needs and your aesthetic perfectly.
Plus, let’s be real: if you have a cute finance page, you’re going to be way more tempted to check in on it frequently. And who knows, maybe checking in on your finances will become the highlight of your week—a moment of pride, a pat on the back, confirming that, yes, you are indeed getting better at this whole adulting thing.
I know you’re excited to start with the ideas, but I have a few other things I want to mention before we dive in. One of them is a set of FREEBIES to help you with finance-related pages, so be sure to scroll until the end to get those.

Stationery Recommendations
The second thing I wanted to mention before we start looking at different page ideas is stationery since you’ll definitely need some to create your Bullet Journal pages.
Granted, you can just use what you already have, but there is so much extra fun in getting the new set of pens and using it to create your new layouts.
So here are a few of my favorites:
- Fineliners. These are the staple of any Bullet Journal spread, and I’d recommend Sakura Pigma Micron. Apart from high quality, they also come in a set with different nib sizes so you get a wider variety for your line thicknesses.
- Markers. If you want to add color, which is what I always feel, you’ll need some markers. I’d recommend Crayola Super Tips since they come in many colors, are pretty affordable, and can be used for brush lettering as well. My own personal favorite is Zebra Mildliners for their stunning colors.
- Brush pen. Brush lettering can add a lot of style to your spread, and if you want to get one, I’d recommend Tombow Fudenosuke. They are perfect for beginners and creating smaller headers.
- Stickers. These are a great way to easily decorate your page and even set it up since there are so many functional stickers as well as decorative. I’d recommend the Budget Planner sticker set, which has 875 stickers!
Ok, let’s stop here. I can talk about stationery for hours, so let’s just dive into the pages.
Bullet Journal Budget Page Ideas
There are Bulelt journal page ideas for everything! The beauty of the system is that you can create custom pages that work for you and how you want to manage your finances.
These are just a few inspirations to help you find the idea that works for you or just inspire you to create a unique spread that fits your needs even better.
Let's dive in!!
In this world of credit cards, it's easy to lose track of it all and end up with extra fees and in debt. A tracker like this one helps you see the entire picture and make sure you're not overspending and getting your self in a bad situation.
Another thing we all spend money on is subscriptions. Chances are, there are even a few subscriptions you forgot about but keep on paying. This tracker will help you clearly see all your subscription expenses and figure out which ones are worth it and which ones aren't.
We should all save some money for a rainy day, or maybe for a vacation like this example! Having a tracker will help turn an unsexy process of leaving a part of your income untouched into almost a challenge, where you have a bright prize at the end.
No spend challenge is the coolest thing out there! It can be so helpful in tackling your financial goals and reaching a higher amount on your savings account. And because it's a challenge, it feels like a fun game as well!
When starting to get, an important thing is to understand what your budget is for all the different types of things and where your money goes. A breakdown like this will help you get a better idea of your spending habits and then see how you can adjust it to fit your financial goals.
This is definitely a staple when it comes to managing your finances. When you have a clear budget for the month on things, you're more likely to stick to it, and this spread gives you a visual idea on what you can afford.
Bills are the must have and something you have to prioritize. You never ant to find yourself with some unpaid bills and your home suddenly not having any electricity. This tracker will ensure that all your bills are paid every month.
When it comes to budgeting, having rules for your money is very important. Once you establish those, it will be that much easier for you to make any buying decisions.
If you found yourself in debt, a tracker like this one might be helpful. It helps you to have a visual representation of how much money you owe and how far you've gone on your journey to pay it off.
We mentioned here already how important it is to have a monthly budget, but having a separate budget for other things might also be helpful. Holidays, no matter which ones you celebrate, are always a time for extra expenses, and it's easy to go overboard with it. A budget will help keep you on track and within your financial means.
If you want to go on the next level, having a yearly finnces spread might be it. This way, you have a wider understanding of your finances and can see which months and on which occasions you can splurge and when you might need to tighten the belt.
