How To Pick Bullet Journal Page Ideas For You

An important thing for you to understand when diving into different page ideas is that you don’t have to try ALL these ideas. In fact, more of them might not even be a good fit for you.

Actually, customising and finding the system that works for you will take some time and effort. Here I wanted to share with you a few tips on how to make this process easier.

  • Start simple

Start with the basic pages – like a monthly calendar, a daily log, and a future log. These are the staples of any good Bullet Journal and will give you a solid foundation to build upon.

  • Consider your needs

Your Bullet Journal should reflect your unique lifestyle, goals, and needs. Take some time to really think about what would make your life easier and more organized.

I can guarantee that whatever you need help with, there is a Bullet Journal page that can help you with it.

  • Experiment with your pages

Your Bullet Journal is evolving just like your life does. If a page isn’t working for you, scrap it! If you think of a new page that could be useful, add it! Give yourself permission to play around and see what works best for you.

  • Don’t overdo it

An important consideration when choosing your pages is not to use all the ideas at once. Remember that your Bullet Journal is a helpful tool, not something that makes life harder and is one more chore.

So be sure not to overdo it and avoid trying too many new things to the point where they lose their benefits and become a burden.

Ok, these are some of the main points I want you to keep in mind while choosing what pages to add to your Bullet Journal. Now let’s dive into the different page ideas and see how we can customize your journal to your needs.

Bullet Journal Page Ideas List

There are many different pages out there, and I will organize them into categories here to ensure that you have a bit better structure.

I’ll be including productive pages as well as some pages for fun, because your Bullet Journal doesn’t have to be just work, there is a play element to it as well.

Planning Bullet Journal Pages

Let’s start from some basic pages that are the core of the system and great for your day-to-day planning.

  • Future Log to plan the year ahead

Your future log is a page to help you manage the upcoming year, providing a perfect place to plan all the big things that will be happening during the year.

  • Monthly Log to manage your month

This is a spread that essentially serves as one dashboard for the upcoming month. It helps you see all the details of what’s happening that month, as well as a comprehensive to-do list and goals.

  • Day-to-day planning with Weekly Log

A weekly log is a great way to plan your days, as it provides an overview of the entire week while also allowing you to plan each day separately.

  • Index page to organise your Bullet Journal

The whole idea of your Bullet Journal is to add all the information linearly, and the index page will help you organize it all and make any information easy to find so you don’t have to stress about it ever again.

  • Decode your entries with Key Page

One of the benefits of your Bullet Journal is that you can enter information visually using little symbols. A key page will help you decode these symbols, allowing you to easily work through your to-do list.

  • Reflect on your time with a Monthly Review Page

This is a great layout for your goals, life, and your Bullet Journal as well. Create a page where you look back at your month, reflect on how it went, and what you can do better in life and in your Bullet Journal for your next month to be better.

  • Speed up your planning with the Grid Spacing Guide

This layout provides you with measurements for your journal and shows you how to divide each page into even parts. It will be extremely useful and help you speed up your setups significantly.

Tracker Bullet Journal Pages

Trackers are a very powerful tool to help you with pretty much any area of your life, so here are just a few ideas for you to explore.

  • Build better habits with a Habit Tracker

Your life changes most by the little things you do every day, and a habit tracker can help you build better small daily habits or get rid of your bad habits, keeping you on track and motivated.

  • Monitor your mental health with a Mood Tracker

A mood tracker is a simple tool that helps you be aware of your emotions and gauge your mental health each day. Together with other trackers, it can help you learn more about yourself and build a life that brings you the greatest happiness.

  • Period Tracker

I don’t think I need to say more about this page; it’s pretty self-explanatory, and if you’re a woman, you probably know how important it is to stay on top of your cycle.

  • Stay hydrated with a Water Tracker

Drinking enough water is so very important, and yet, how much water do you actually drink per day? Most of us probably don’t drink enough, but a water tracker can help you see if it’s true and build a water drinking habit.

  • Get enough rest with a Sleep Tracker

Sleep is important for our mental and physical health, and yet with all the responsibilities and chores we have, sleep is often the first one to go. A sleep tracker will help you ensure that each day you get enough hours to function at your best.

  • Reach your fitness goals with a Workout Tracker

Staying on track with your workout can be daunting, and a workout tracker will help you keep it all together and motivate you every day to do at least something to reach your fitness goals.

  • Control your spendings with a Bill Tracker

Staying on top of your finances can be challenging, but a small and powerful thing you can do is to use a bill tracker. It will give you a clear outline of all the recurring bills you have to cover, so you can easily plan your other spending around that.

  • Reach your financial goals with a Savings Tracker

I always found saving money very difficult, but a savings tracker can help you bring a visual element to it and therefore make it a bit more fun and exciting.

Self-Improvement Page Ideas

These pages are designed to help you unwind your mind, organize your thoughts, and generally feel calmer.

As long as our mind is stressed and stuck in negative thinking, all other areas of our life are suffering as well, and these pages can help you with that.

  • Organise your mind with a Brain Dump

Our heads are always full of ideas, to-do lists, projects, and reminders. Plus all the worries and important approaching dates and chores. It can be too much. A brain dump gives you space to put it all on paper and work through one thing at a time.

  • Take care of yourself with a Self-Care Page

Self-care is not selfish; it’s essential, and yet we often find ourselves too tired to do anything for ourselves, except for maybe listening to Netflix while watching TikTok videos, which is not really something that can give you more energy or balance. A page with self-care ideas can help you always have a list of good things that will bring you satisfaction and happiness.

  • Foster a positive mindset with a Gratitude Log

A gratitude log is a simple practice of writing down something every day that you’re grateful for, something that makes you smile. It is, however, a very powerful tool that helps you build more positive paths in your brain day by day.

  • Get motivated with a Quote Page

Quote pages can be a powerful tool to stay motivated or to set yourself in a certain mood. They are also a great way to practice your creative skills and do something just for the fun of it.

Goals Related Bullet Journal Pages

There is no argument here that your Bullet Journal can be an incredibly powerful tool to help you reach your goals, whatever they might be.

Here are just a few ideas that I’m sure you’ll find very useful when trying to build a goal-setting system that works for you.

  • Set your goals with the Yearly Goals Page

This is probably the first and easiest page to think of – a layout for you to write all the things you want to achieve that year. And honestly, it doesn’t have to be just about a calendar year or something set in January; any month, any time will do. Just create a page with your goals, set a time limit, and work from there.

  • Build your dream life with a Vision Board

A vision board can sound like mumbo jumbo to some, but I think it’s a powerful practice that can help you set intentions and envision the life you want to have. It’s a crucial first step toward building the life of your dreams.

  • Evaluate your life with a Level 10 Life

This is a great practice that helps you evaluate different sections of your life to see where you can do better. Of course, it’s useful to have it all visually on paper and then set your goals.

  • Set goals for the things you love with a Bucket List

A bucket list is like a goals page, but for things that you want to do and that bring you joy. You can create all kinds of bucket lists, from one for every season of the year with the fun seasonal activities, to a huge life list with all the big adventures you want to experience.

Collections And Lists

I always think that lists are very powerful and important to create in your Bullet Journal. At the minimum, they will help you remember some things, and in the best-case scenario, they can help you make your dreams come true.

So here are a few lists and collection ideas, some are practical and some are just silly things to do for fun.

  • Follow through with your reading goals with a Book Tracker

A book tracker will help you not only ensure that you reach all your reading goals, but also keep a physical record of all the reading you’ve already done.

  • Track your entertainment with a Movie | TV Tracker

You can approach this layout in different ways, use it to see when the movies and shows you love will come out, or use it to keep track of the things you have already watched. Either way, this can be a fun page to create and look back at.

  • Preserve your cooking skills with the Recipe Page

Do you have any recipes that you love and want to keep forever? Add them to your Bullet Journal and they will stay with you, instead of being lost in the wide world of the internet.

  • Bring joy to your gourmet inside with a list of your Favorite Restaurants

I believe every time you eat out, you should have a fun and delicious experience. So it can be a good idea to have a list of your favorite places. That way, you never forget a good meal and have a wide choice of places that you know you love.

  • Be the best gift giver with a Gift Ideas List

This is something I’ve been doing for a while – have a page in your Bullet Journal and during the year, note some things your friends and family mention as good to have. That way, you’ll always hit it out of the park with just the right present.

  • Treat yourself with a Wish List

Wish list is a fun page to create, but it’s also a good reference for the future. Next time you feel like you want to treat yourself, you’ll see exactly what you want, instead of doing any impulsive shopping for things you don’t really want that much.

  • Visit your dream locations with a Travel Log

Traveling is something that requires a lot of steps and a lot of planning. Make a first step by creating a page with locations you want to visit, and then work through it one by one, planning perfect trips.

  • Plan the best parties with Party Planning Layouts

Being a good host is not an easy job, but your Bullet Journal can help you with that. Create a page for everything, from menu and guest lists to playlist and prep shopping.

Personal And Daily Life Bullet Journal Pages

This category was hard to name because it has plenty of different types of pages. But let’s say these are more pages towards taking care of yourself and maybe helping you with some day-to-day stuff.

  • Keep your home sparkling with a Cleaning Tracker

Cleaning is not fun, but if you use a tracker and do little things every day, it will turn from a huge chore into something you barely need any time doing.

  • Never forget celebrations with a Birthday Tracker

If you have a large social circle with plenty of birthdays, having a separate page for all those dates might be super useful. Plus, isn’t it fun to create a page in your journal just for the happy birthday celebrations?

  • When did I last…

There are things that we have to do repeatedly but not regularly enough, so they often slip out of our minds, like changing your toothbrush every 3 months and flipping your mattress once a year. This layout will definitely help with that!

  • Take care of your eating habits with a Meal Planning Page

Ensuring you get enough of all the vitamins and eat balanced meals is not an easy task, but having a meal plan can definitely help you reach your goals and make better food decisions overall.

  • Preserve the best moments with a Memory Keeping Page

Our lives are full of amazing moments, and yet so many of them are lost to time. A memory-keeping page will help you remember it all, and in the future, it will be a lovely layout to look back at.

  • Get more done with a 15-Minute Task List

This is a fun page to have, with just a few things that are not urgent but have to be done. However, there are quick things that wouldn’t take you more than 15 minutes or so. Every time you feel like you need a little change of activity, pick and quickly do one of these tasks – it will be quick, you’ll have something off your list, and you will feel more accomplished and motivated.

And there you go, here are just a few different pages you can try in your Bullet Journal. I’m sure you’ll find at least one idea to try here, and if not, simply keep scrolling!
