5 Must Have Bullet Journal Productivity Spreads

Sharing is caring!

There are plenty of Bullet Journal page ideas that can transform your productivity game. With the right layouts, your journal becomes more than just a notebookโ€”itโ€™s your personal productivity powerhouse.

In this post, weโ€™ll explore five essential Bullet Journal productivity page ideas that will help you stay organized, focused, and on top of your goals. These are the pages I personally created and tried myself, so I can assure you they have the power to streamline your daily life and maximize efficiency.

Whether youโ€™re a seasoned BuJo enthusiast or just starting out, these ideas will inspire you to create a system that works for you.

Bullet Journal is a multi-purpose tool that can help you with anything in the world, and make the process fun at the same time!

I love my Bullet Journal for its versatility and how creative I can be with it. Even the most boring-sounding things, like productivity or time management, become fun if you try to use your Bullet Journal for that.

Plus I found out for myself that when I have a cute spread full of doodles and happy colors it adds a lot of enjoyment when I use it. So once I started using these productivity spreads, they really stuck.ย

But before we dive into the spreads themselves, I wanted to share with you a few tips on creating and using these pages:

  • Make it fun but simple – making it creative will inspire you to use it, but don’t overcomplicate things. It has to be clear and easy to use. We don’t want to make this a habit that becomes just another chore for you.
  • Don’t overdo it – while there are many different pages and ideas, don’t try to do it all at once. Try one, see if it works, and if it doesn’t or you feel like you need more, try another one. You do not need 20 pages just to help you stay productive; instead, they will drain more of your time.
  • Review and learn – one of the most important parts of creating Bullet Journal pages is to make sure you look at the content, review it, evaluate how helpful it was, and learn for the next week or month. So never create these layouts as set in stone; treat them as fluid and changing with you and your life.

Ok, these are some of the most important things from my experience (yes, i learn these tips by making all those mistakes myself first), so let’s move on and look at different layouts.

Oh, just one more thing – be sure you sign up for the FREE printables at the end of the post, they definitely can help you save time and level up your productivity skills. There are 50+ FREE Bullet Journal printables for you to choose from, so you’ll definitely find something that works for you.

Bullet Journal Productivity Spreads

As I always say, the number of pages of ideas you can create in your Bullet Journal is really limited only by your own imagination. So when you’re looking for something to help you get productive, consider what you’re struggling with, and there will be a page you can create to help you out.

I hope this post will help you get going and demonstrate just a few ideas on what is possible.

These are the five pages I created and tested myself, so I’ll be able to share not only an idea but also some insights on why and how it can help you.

And of course, if you want more, I linked a few other posts at the end for you to check out.

Bullet Journal Time Log

Let’s start with the page that is very time-consuming and can be extremely annoying to maintain, but is definitely worth the effort and I found it to be one of the most impactful ones on this list.

Before making any changes to your days to make them more productive, you should see what is happening with them now!

A very good and simple exercise for this is a Time Log. For a week, or maybe a few days, every hour, log in what you spent your time on. After that, you will be able to see your weak points and adjust your days to use your time more efficiently.

When I needed extra help with time management, I actually did a time log for an entire month. It really helped me to have a perspective on how I spend my time and what I can do better.

The setup is pretty easy, vertically it’s 24 hours, and horizontally it is for 30 days of the month. It looks more complicated now that it is filled, but it’s really simple, and to set it up, you just need a few minutes.

I found that it’s always fun to color-code the things that you track, and if you’ll be using it more than just one time, to keep the same colors. Visual representation is always a powerful tool.

What takes them the most time is filling it out and ensuring you’re marking every hour what on earth you were doing. As you can see, I didn’t succeed all the time, but even with so many blank spaces, I still got some very good insights on how I spend my time.

Apart from seeing how I actually spend my time, it also helped me to seem y horrific sleeping patterns. And better sleep always leads to better productivity, so it was also a useful insight.

Daily Routines Spread

One of the best ways to make sure you use your time efficiently is to have a plan – a routine.

When you establish a certain routine for your mornings and evenings (which is supposedly your only free time during working days), you will see how much more you will be able to accomplish during the day! Feel free to also create routines for your workflow as well.

The secret is – when you know what to do, you just do it. Compare this to when you have to decide what to do every night after dinner. Letโ€™s be honest, itโ€™s either wasting your time on social media or just TV and couch (yup, with 10 shows Iโ€™m watching at the time that definitely was my choice!).

I found that there is something very powerful in having a schedule and routine. Knowing that when you wake up, you already know what you have to do.

To the point that now in the morning as i do my routine I don;t even need to think about it and I can let my mind wonder and maybe do some different type of thinming.

I found that it also helped me to improve my deep work skills. With a schedule for the day i know exactly taht everything is covered and planned so I allow myself to concenyrate on only working on that one thing in this one timeslot. That simple thing helped me be more productive and produce better results.

Focus Tracker

One of the main reasons why weโ€™re not productive is the number of different things we have to work on. When we are loaded with tasks and responsibilities, we end up multitasking, and nothing gets done properly!

To solve this problem, I started using a focus tracker. Ask yourself – what are the projects youโ€™re working on? Whatโ€™s important for you now? Maybe even create a list, and assign each day to working only on one thing.

Concentrating on just one thing will help you to do a better job and complete more. And it doesn’t mean that you don’t do anything else that day. It just means this is the first and the most important thing to do, and you concentrate on at least completing this one task.

For example, at the time I created this tracker, I was working in four different areas: blogging, studying, Bullet Journaling, and job searching.

So, I tried to spend an even number of days per week just focusing on each one of these areas. I know already that doing everything at once doesnโ€™t work, so this way, Iโ€™m sure I can achieve progress in every field.

If you feel like this doesnโ€™t really work for you, try dividing it by half a day. The important thing to remember is to know when you should focus on what and give it your full attention.

This worked for me for a while, but eventually I had to change it up. I wanted to have everything in one place and not many different trackers. So I move my focus to a weekly spread.

This helped me to be very clear each day on my focus, without needing to flip to a separate tracker when I plan my day. But it doesn’t mean I don’t have a clear view of the month to see that I paid enough attention to all the areas I needed.

15 Minutes Tasks List

15 minutes is such a short amount of time, and we all have a free quarter of an hour here and there. Instead of just kind of having it, why not use it?

I created a list of little tasks that can be completed in 15 minutes. It includes not just chores and work-related things, but also self-care. This means you can spend your time being productive, as well as having a small energy boost.

Give it a thought – what are some things in your life you can accomplish in 15 minutes? Youโ€™d be surprised how much you can actually do, trust me!

I love using this layout for a reset. When I feel my attention drifting, it’s good to take a 15-minute break and do something else. Once you come back to work, you will be able to concentrate again.

Extra plus! This list makes house cleaning so fast! If you divide all your cleaning tasks into small 15-minute segments, you can have it all done during the day without feeling so pressured and tired!

Bullet Journal Habit Tracker

One of the important things about being productive is having enough energy to be that way. So first and foremost, what you should do is take good care of yourself!

If you are healthy and energetic, you will accomplish much more. And this is why it is a powerful tool to use – a habit tracker!

We won’t go into detail on what a habit tracker is (but you can check the end of the post for a very detailed guide), but in two words – it’s a way for you to establish new habits and get rid of old ones. Every day you mark if you did a habit, and altogether it gives you a good outlook and a motivation to keep the streak going.

So what I did when I actively started pushing myself to be more productive is I created this healthy tracker challenge. These are all the habits that help me to be more active – to work out, do yoga, drink less coffee, eat more fruits, and most importantly, to have enough sleep!

You can think of any other habits that can fill you with energy. For me, these are the crucial ones, and following them really made a difference in how much and how well I manage to accomplish during the day.

I decided to add this little cat sticker because, for some reason, his judgmental stern face really motivates me!

Thatโ€™s about it for me, just these 5 easy pages helped me to get myself together and start being productive again. Iโ€™m sure they will help you as well!

  2. Masha, thanks for sharing your gift with all of us, I enjoy reading and enjoying the content of your daily emails.
    You help me get inspired.

  3. I am totally new to BUJOing. I havenโ€™t even started yet, but plan on doing it soon. I am so excited to do this.

  4. It was interesting to read my earlier comment. I got sidetracked by illness for several weeks and listened to my lovely daughter-in-law who is my caregiver. She felt I was spending too much time setting up my journal each week and especially the monthly pages. So I simplified. And stopped using it because it was boooooorrrrrriiiiiinngnngggg. I really didn’t realize I had stopped using until I became dehydrated because I wasn’t tracking my water.
I was so happy to come across your pages again. It may take me all day to do a monthly spread but so what. At my age and position in life, there are no real time constraints except those I place on myself. And doing my journal and changing the layouts brings me great happiness. I like your pages because they are lovely but inspirational. Others do beautiful spreads that are intimidating because I know I can’t reach that level of artistic design. My spreads are mine and I thank you for the reminder.
I can finally afford to buy you that cup of coffee. Picture me smiling as I put together my November bujo.

    1. Thank you so much for such a sweet comment and of course for that cup of coffee <3 I'm glad to hear you're back to doing your journal the way you want to - it's really the key and especially if it brings you joy!

  5. I am into my second year of bullet journaling. I have made a lot of progress. Lost 50 lbs,. Increased my activity, and gotten my Diabetes under control with diet and exercise. I have hit a slump though. Your page ideas are great and I will be trying some of them in June. I am 76 and have been taking classes and doing a lot of Bible Study and got overwhelmed. I like your idea of the Focus Page. I have two major projects in the house; two study areas; and exercise goals for June through September.
I also liked your mood, symptom, and healthy day trackers.
I cannot afford to buy you a cup of coffee for the next few months. It is the 24th and I am already in the red for this month! Hopefully, when the taxes and medical bills are paid off I’ll be able to contribute something for your support. I really appreciate the detail and care you put into your blog and printables. Thank you.
