It’s almost December, so it’s time to start decorating our Bullet Journals with some holiday-themed doodles.
Whether you’re an experienced artist or a beginner, you can join in on all the holiday cheer with just some paper, simple drawing tools, and a little imagination.

Before we go into tutorials, though, let me share with you a few tips on doodling that will help you improve your skills.
How To Doodle: Best Tips
There are a few tips I’d like to give you before you start creating.
You absolutely can doodle, even if now it feels like you don’t. Trust me, when I started, I couldn’t draw at all, but with time and practice, it gets better. As long as you can draw basic shapes, you absolutely can doodle. And speaking of basic shapes…
Look for basic shapes. Every doodle consists of basic shapes, and once you start seeing them, it’ll be so much easier to start doodling. So even if you see a big scary doodle, start by dividing it into small basic shapes, and you’ll be just fine.
Start with a pencil. You’ll see it in my Doodle With Me videos and in all my Plan With Me videos – I always start with a pencil. This helps ensure the doodle is coming out the way I want it to. Plus, that way, you can start doodling from the basic shape and work your way around it.
Practice. The biggest secret to getting better at doodling is to practice. So even if your first try doesn’t look as pretty as you imagined it in your head – just keep on doodling. The next one will be better, and the one after that will be even better.

Doodling Supplies
If you’re sitting down to doodle, you really don’t need much. You need only a pencil, a pen, and a piece of paper.
My favorites are:
Pilot Dr. Grip Mechanical Pencil – it’s important when you doodle to have a comfortable pencil grip, and the one on this Pilot pencil is probably the best I’ve ever had.
Sakura Foam Eraser – you want a quality eraser that won’t leave any color behind; my choice is foam erasers. Just always make sure you take some time before erasing so your pen doesn’t smudge.
Now that you have all your pens together and ready to doodle, let’s dive in!
Easy Christmas Doodles
No matter how complicated or elaborate Christmas doodles might look, they are all made out of basic shapes, which anyone can do.
Let’s look into these tutorials, and once you see how each doodle comes together from basic shapes, you’ll be able to draw anything you want!
Snowman
This is not necessarily a Christmas doodle, but you can’t have Christmas without snowmen!
Well, at least if you live in the northern hemisphere. Here in Bolivia, Christmas is in the middle of Summer, which is still weird to me.
Christmas Tree Decoration
This is a very simple doodle to draw, and you can play around so much with the colors and patterns you can use on the decoration.
I must say decorating a Christmas tree is one of my favorite parts of the holiday season.
Polar Bear
I like this polar bear doodle because it’s super easy and requires just a few colors.
I imagine this cute little guy can be an adorable add-on to a Christmas craft.
Holiday Mail
I have always loved giving and receiving cards. I think it’s such a simple gesture and yet so lovely.
I’m kind of sad that this tradition died out a bit with all my movings. Maybe it’s time to bring it back!
Gingerbread Man
I’m not a big fan of ginger, but Christmas gingerbread cookies are an exception!
And this is such a fun thing to doodle! Plus, you can play around with what expression it would have and how you’d decorate it.
Candy Cane
Who doesn’t like candy? And Christmas candy isn’t just delicious, but also pretty and looks very cozy.
I don’t think in real life they come with these green leaves and a bow, but it’s a fun add-on to the doodle, just to make it stand out a little bit.
Penguin
With Christmas, we’re thinking about the North Pole, of course, and that leads me straight to cute little penguins.
But now I’m thinking, are there actually penguins on the North Pole, or are they only on the South Pole? Let me know in the comments if you know.
Holiday Bells
Happy bells, and I think the contrast between green leaves and red bows brings out the holiday cheer.
It would be great if you decided to draw a Christmas wreath.
Snowglobe
I used to love these when I was a kid. The snow floating was just so mesmerizing.
Do you still have any of those? I think all of mine are no more, so I have to compensate by doodling them. Thankfully, it’s a pretty easy Christmas doodle.
Christmas Tree
Finally, it’s time to doodle a Christmas tree! There are many ways to do it, but I find that this way is probably the cutest.
And I didn’t add that many decorations, but you definitely can play around with that to customize your tree.
Christmas Stocking
What is a better feeling than waking up in December and running to check if Santa left you some chocolate in your stocking?
I miss being a kid during the holiday season; it was definitely the best time of the year when I was a kid!
Yarn
When thinking of the holiday season, I’m thinking of all the cozy things, and what is cozier than a silly Christmas sweater?
I decided we would be doodling a ball of yarn, though, instead of an actual sweater. But it’s still super cozy.
Cup Of Cocoa
Speaking of cozy things, what can be cozier than a cup of hot cocoa?
To make it a bit more distinguished from just a cup of coffee, I added a stick of cinnamon and, of course, some whipped cream.
Many of these doodles you can generally use in a winter theme for January, for example.
I know, I know, the title said 13+ doodles.
