But I digress; this post is for easy doodling ideas, so let’s get into those.

Just one more thing, though – if you’re looking for more information, be sure to check the end of the post since it has tons of other valuable and fun doodling posts and resources, as well as a free doodling course for beginners.

Easy Doodling Ideas For Beginners

Usually, when you look for ideas, you just get a list of easy things to doodle. And that’s fine.

I actually have a list with doodling prompts on this blog as well (check the end of the post).

But I think having tutorials would be so much more helpful! That’s why this blog post is not just a list of things to doodle but easy-to-follow tutorials.

Feel free to use these ideas to doodle in your own style, or start by following tutorials and learning that you have so much creativity inside!

How To Doodle Nature

Starting with this set of 4 easy nature-themed doodles.

I hope you agree that these have nature as a common theme.

But even if you see some different connections here – these are cute doodles that are super easy to recreate.

How To Doodle Food

Or more like sweets! I have a sweet tooth, so I couldn’t hold back and add these tutorials to this list.

Well, sweets and junk food.

These are super easy to draw, and they can be excellent decorations for so many different themes and collections.

How To Doodle Leaves

Leaves are a great decoration for your Bullet Journal; in fact, I had a whole tropical theme in my journal one time, just with some leave doodles.

I love that you get to be creative and play around with the shapes, colors, and designs of your leaves, and they always end up looking great.

These all turned out to be kind of dark in the end, but I love that you can play around and use pretty much any colors you want or have.

How To Doodle Animals

Finally, I wanted to add some tutorials for animals (or fish, actually), because I always thought that they were extra difficult to draw,

So here are a few easy tutorials so you can start doodling and overcoming the fear of drawing living creatures if you have it.

I feel like these would look so great on some Summer themed Bullet Journal pages!

Best Doodling Supplies

For doodling, you really just need a pencil and a piece of paper.

But, of course, if you’re looking for more recommendations – I’ve got you covered.

Here are some of my favorite supplies:

  • Fineliners. They are absolutely the best pens when it comes to doodling. I recommend trying out these.
  • Notepad. Basically, some paper to doodle on, but if you want to add some color to your doodles, you want to make sure you’re using high-quality paper not to damage your pens. So a notepad like this would work the best.
  • Markers. I love adding color to my doodles, and these pens are my favorite. But I also really recommend these if you want something in a different color scheme.

I’d say these are my go-to, but for more recommendations, check my post with Best Pens For Doodling.
