Following tutorials is one of the best ways to learn how to doodle, and this post will help you draw a lot of cuteness!
Whether you’re a seasoned Bullet Journal enthusiast or just looking for a fun way to pass the time, adding cute easy doodles is a fantastic way to spruce up your pages.
These simple step-by-step tutorials are perfect for everyone, even if you swear by the phrase, “I can’t draw a straight line!” Grab your favorite pens, clear a corner of your journal, and get ready to create adorable designs that’ll bring a smile to your face every time you see them.

Doodling is not a magic talent only a few have; it is a skill anyone can develop. And to be honest, the best way to get better is to keep practicing.
The best practice for your doodling is to follow tutorials. This is how you learn to see anything you want, draw a set of basic shapes, and learn how to combine them to create beautiful doodles.
In this post, I’ll be sharing some of the doodling tutorials I’ve created over the years. Each is a simple step-by-step guide, so even if you’re not that confident in your doodling skills yet, you’ll be able to follow these and create fun doodles.

Best Doodling Supplies
Before we look into the tutorials, let’s have a quick word on some stationery that I think will help you enjoy doodling more.
Of course, you can use anything you already have, but if you want a bit more, here are my favorites that I’m sure you will love as well:
- Notebook. I always think it’s a good idea to have a separate doodling notebook; that way, you have a journal with doodle ideas, and you can see your progress. You don’t need anything fancy for that; Lemome Dotted Bullet Notebook works just as well.
- Pencil and eraser. A pencil is your secret weapon when it comes to doodling. Start all your doodles with a pencil, and you’ll be able to avoid a lot of errors and make it look better before you use a pen. You need a pencil with a comfortable grip and an eraser that won’t leave any streaks. I recommend Pilot Dr. Grip pencil and Sakura Foam eraser.
- Fineliners. These are the best pens to do your doodling, and I definitely recommend using Sakura Pigma Micron – they come in a set with different nib sizes so you get a variety of line thicknesses.
- Colorful markets. If you like color on your doodles like I do, you’ll want to get some markers. I always recommend Crayola Super Tips, because they come in a pack of 100 colors and are very affordable.
Ok, enough about supplies, let’s dive into these tutorials and get you doodling right away!

Easy Doodles
Let’s start with this little layout with random doodle tutorials, each of which helps you easily doodle some fun things.
I think the common denominator here is that it’s all the things I enjoy.
Cute Spring Doodles
I don’t have a set of tutorials for all seasons, but I have a few pages of cute spring doodles that I think you’ll enjoy.
These are perfect for a spring Bullet Journal theme or just to decorate your spring bucket list.
With spring being the season when nature comes back to life, a lot of these doodels are based around plans and gardening.
Let me know in the comments what kind of spring doodles you’d like to learn how to draw.
How To Doodle Food
I love food doodles, there are so many things you can draw when it comes to food!
Plus, these are perfect for so many different themes or themed pages, like your meal planning or party planning layouts.
That being said, more of my food doodles are all about junk food or sweets. I think it’s just easier and more fun to doodle those compared to healthy chicken recipes.
Travel Doodle Tutorials
Travel doodles really allow you to daydream about your future trips, even if you’re stuck in the office while the whole world is at the beach enjoying the hot summer.
More than that, they can help you create a lot of themed pages, whether it’s just a travel theme in your Bullet Journal or a packing list for your next adventure.
As you can see, each of these doodles is created in just a few simple steps. Travel doodles are actually some of the easiest ones to draw, and I’m sure, whatever your skills are, you can create cute ones.
Cute Sushi Doodles
I decided to put sushi in a separate category because it’s definitely my favorite food and maybe my favorite food to doodle.
For my sushi doodles, I love animating them by adding fun little faces; I think it really helps make them a bit more fun and adorable.
Makeup Bullet Journal Doodles
The next category is makeup doodles, and I have plenty of tutorials for these! I love makeup, but I also really like doodling makeup.
After all, there is such a variety of packaging and colors you can play with!
As you can see, makeup is pretty easy to draw because most of the makeup items are based on pretty basic shapes.
And I have plenty of doodles in this category also because they are my go-to when it coems to creating any type of self-care pages,
All these tutorials are pretty easy, and as you can see, I went pretty classic with the shapes and colors of all the products.
But you can definitely play around and experiment more to create something bright, unique, and outstanding!
Easy Winter Doodles
I don’t like winter as a season, and I don’t deal well with cold unless it’s beautiful, snowy weather for about a weekend. But winter doodles are always fun!
Winter doodles always bring me back to my childhood when it was one of my favorite seasons, and I would spend hours playing in the snow with my friends.
Stationery Doodle Tutorials
I’ve always loved stationery, even though I think collecting and using stationery are two different hobbies, and I’m definitely more on the collecting side.
Either way, this is a theme in my Bullet Journal that I create again and again, so I have plenty of stationery doodle tutorials. And of course, stationery doodles are useful for plenty of other projects, like your work notes or study pages.
A little trick I use in my stationery doodles is that I try to make them smaller and a bit thicker, so they have this extra adorable feel to them.
You can clearly see it in the tutorials for a Zebra Mildliner pen above.
Cozy Doodle Tutorials
Cozy doodles are so multi-functional! You can use them for your fall or winter pages, for your self-care layouts, and, of course, your seasonal bucket lists.
Honestly, even just doodling all these things helped me create that warm, fuzzy feeling you get when reading a good book in a comfortable chair covered in blankets.
These are tutorials for just a few things that I find cozy, but let me know in the comments what kind of things help you feel that way!
And if I remember correctly, these were the doodles I used for my winter bucket list.
Easy Doodles: Drinks
Last but not least, there is a little layout with tutorials on how to doodle different types of beverages.
I think these would work very well as ideas for a separate theme, or maybe for your party planning layouts.
And there you go, here are a few simple and fun tutorials you casn follow to draw cute doodles in your Bullet Journal or any other creative projects you have.
