Best Doodling Supplies

If you’re sitting down to doodle, you might need a few things. Of course, you can use anything you already have to doodle.

But if you’re looking for recommendations, this is what I love:

  • Pilot Dr. Grip Pencil – pencil first is the best solution to ensure your doodles look great. This pencil is probably the most comfortable one I’ve ever had!
  • Sakura Foam Eraser – the best eraser there, and it won’t streak your lines or leave any color residue.
  • Sakura Pigma Micron – a good fineliner is your best friend when it comes to doodling. Plus, this set has pens with different nib sizes which will allow you to add variety to your doodles.
  • Zebra Mildliners – if you want to add color to your journal, these pens are absolutely perfect. I adore their colors, and they have a marker tip to help you with more detailed work.

Cute Self-Care Doodles

Navigating the world of self-care can sometimes feel like trying to decode a secret language. What exactly qualifies as a self-care doodle, you ask? Well, that’s a fantastic question, and honestly, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.

For this particular post, I took a little stroll down my own self-care routine lane, pondering over the activities that make my heart sing, and my stress levels plummet. Then, armed with inspiration and a dash of creativity, I thought about what kinds of doodles could encapsulate these blissful moments.

From the simple joy of sipping on a warm cup of tea to the invigorating feeling of stretching out in a yoga pose, each self-care activity offers a unique symbol ripe for doodling.

It’s about capturing those small, precious moments that remind us to pause and cherish the here and now. And the best part? You absolutely do not need to be an artist to join in on the fun.

So, why don’t we grab our Bullet Journals and favorite pens, and just start doodling? It doesn’t matter if your lines aren’t perfectly straight or if your circles look more like squiggles.

This is your personal oasis of creativity and self-care, where every doodle is a testament to taking that much-needed me-time. Let’s make some magic happen on those pages!

How To Doodle A Planner

Is it just me, or does crafting Bullet Journal pages feel like a cozy hug for the soul? Honestly, it’s my go-to form of self-care. There’s something almost magical about unplugging from the world and spending some quality time with just me, my thoughts, and my journal.

It’s not just about the practical side of organizing my life or jotting down reminders for self-care routines. It’s the act itself – the gentle scratching of pen on paper, the swirls of ink, and the quiet moments of reflection – that really feels like I’m doing something good for myself.

So, of course, the planner is the first doodle on this list, and as you can see, it’s pretty easy to draw one as well.

How To Doodle Books

Oh, reading! Now that’s a slice of self-care heaven if I’ve ever seen one. There you are, sinking into your favorite chair – the one that seems to hug you back just right.

Isn’t it just the perfect setup? The world outside can wait for a moment because, inside this little bubble, it’s just you, your book, and the comforting warmth of your drink. It’s like hitting the pause button on life’s remote control, allowing you to recharge your batteries and lose yourself in tales of adventure, mystery, or romance.

So, of course, a set of books and a cozy, warm drink made it to the list of self-care doodles.

How To Doodle A Microphone

Have you ever noticed how music has this almost magical ability to turn your mood around? It’s like a little switch in your brain that flips from gloomy to sunshine with just a few beats.

And I’m not just talking about casually listening to music in the background while you go about your day. Oh no, I mean really getting into it – having an impromptu dance party in your living room or belting out the lyrics like you’re the star of your own concert. There’s something so liberating about letting loose and giving in to the rhythm, isn’t there?

This brings me to why a particular doodle sprang to mind for this post. This doodle is more than just a drawing; it’s a reminder. A reminder to allow ourselves those moments of pure joy and abandon, to use music as a tool not just for entertainment but for emotional uplift and self-care.

How To Doodle A Hot Drink

Is there anything more comforting than wrapping your hands around a warm mug of your favorite drink? Whether it’s the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee, the soothing properties of a well-steeped tea, or the refreshing zest of a fruit-packed smoothie, there’s just something about that first sip that feels like a cozy blanket for the soul.

It’s not just about quenching thirst or getting that caffeine fix; it’s a ritual, a moment of peace in the chaos of daily life, a small act of self-care that says, “Hey, you deserve this.”

When it comes to Bullet Journaling, capturing these little moments of joy becomes an art form in itself. Sure, there are countless ways to doodle your drink of choice, but today, let’s draw a classic takeout cup. The one that helps brighten your day no matter what is going on around you.

How To Doodle Painting Supplies

Unleashing your creativity is like opening a doorway to a world where time slows down and the daily grind fades into the background. Whether it’s through painting a landscape that’s been dancing in your mind, sketching those fleeting moments of inspiration, or just letting your pen wander aimlessly on a page, creating art is a deeply personal form of self-care.

It’s not just about the end product; it’s the process itself that’s so enriching. The act of bringing something to life with your own two hands is incredibly empowering and, yes, almost meditative.

Have you ever noticed how, when you’re fully immersed in a creative task, your breath deepens, your thoughts quiet down, and you enter what feels like a state of flow? It’s in these moments that we truly connect with ourselves, attending to our needs and emotions in a way that’s both nurturing and liberating.

This is why I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to include something in our Bullet Journal that celebrates this beautiful, soul-soothing activity. And yes, this particular doodle was inspired by the “paint” emoji. But I think it’s perfect – it’s fun, colorful, and is a great visual representation of all things creative.

How To Doodle Lipstick

Isn’t it amazing how a simple touch of makeup can transform not just how we look, but how we feel inside? I firmly believe in the power of those little boosts to our confidence. It’s like that first sip of coffee in the morning that tells your brain, “Okay, we’re ready to take on the world now!”.

Now, with so many makeup options out there, it can be quite the adventure deciding which product gets the honor of uplifting our spirits for the day. But, for simplicity and impact, I find myself drawn to the classic elegance of lipstick.

It’s an easy doodle, and yet it still gives you tons of space to be creative with the packaging design and the lipstick color.

How To Doodle Mobile Phone

Self-care is this beautiful, multifaceted concept that means different things to everyone. For me, one of the most nourishing aspects of self-care is nurturing the connections I have with people.

There’s something incredibly therapeutic about spending time with loved ones, sharing stories, and supporting each other through life’s ups and downs. It’s these connections that often become our lifelines, offering comfort and joy even in the midst of chaos.

A simple conversation can lift our spirits, help us see problems in a new light, and remind us that we’re not alone in our struggles. These heart-to-heart talks are like balm for the soul, healing us in ways we didn’t even know we needed.

Living abroad has added an interesting dimension to how I connect with my friends and family. While I may be miles away from them physically, technology has bridged that gap beautifully, making the world feel just a little bit smaller.

This is why, when thinking about self-care and the things that truly matter to me, I felt compelled to include a phone doodle. But I wanted it to be clear that this wasn’t about mindlessly scrolling through social media or getting lost in the endless vortex of TikTok videos. No, this was about connection, about those meaningful conversations that nourish the soul. To illustrate this, I added a little message bubble inside the doodle, symbolizing the heartfelt exchanges that take place during these calls.

How To Doodle Popcorn

Isn’t it just wonderful how a good movie can wrap you up in its world, offering an escape that’s both comforting and rejuvenating? There’s something almost magical about sinking into your favorite spot on the couch, hitting play on that one film that feels like an old friend, and letting its familiar scenes wash over you. It’s like a warm hug for your soul.

We all have that special comfort movie, don’t we? The one that, no matter how many times we’ve seen it, always manages to give us “the feels,” whether it’s laughter, tears, or a heartwarming glow.

And what’s a movie without the quintessential movie snack – popcorn? It’s practically a ritual! The sound of kernels popping, the aromatic hint of butter filling the air, and that first crunchy bite all add to the experience, transforming the simple act of watching a movie into a full-blown sensory event. It’s these small pleasures that elevate the moment, making it feel like a true break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

That’s why we have a popcorn doodle on this list. As you can see, it’s easier to draw than you probably thought. For this tutorial, I went for the classic look of the packaging, but you can definitely play around with colors and patterns decorating it.

How To Doodle A Glass Of Water

Isn’t it funny how one of the simplest forms of self-care is just drinking enough water, yet it can be so incredibly hard to remember to do? I mean, here we are, floating through our busy days, trying to keep on top of everything, and something as basic as hydration slips through the cracks.

I’ll be the first to admit, my water intake isn’t always what it should be. The struggle is real!

This is exactly why, when I think about self-care doodles for my Bullet Journal, a glass of water is always at the top of my list. It’s a small but mighty reminder that pops up on my pages, nudging me to pause, take a sip, and really take care of myself.

But the beauty of a water glass doodle doesn’t stop at personal reminders. Imagine using it as a tracker, coloring in a new glass each time you finish your drink, turning hydration into a visually satisfying achievement. Perhaps you can incorporate it into your daily routine, making it an integral part of your day alongside other self-care practices.

And there you go, 9 easy and cute self-care doodles that would look great on your Bullet Journal pages!
