Stationery Recommendations
Ok, just one more thing before we dive into the courses: let’s talk about the stationery you will need to create any hand lettering projects.
I won’t want to give you a full list because it would take us forever. So here are just a few of the amazing supplies for you to try.
- Pencil and eraser. Your hand lettering projects will have to start with some sketches, so you’ll want a pencil with a comfortable grip and an eraser that doesn’t leave streaks. I recommend Pilot Dr. Grip pencil and Sakura foam eraser.
- Fineliners. You’ll need a good black pen, and fineliners are perfect for that, especially since they come in sets with different nib sizes, so you can get a variety of line thicknesses. I recommend Sakura Pigma Micron pens.
- Markers. If you want to do color, you’ll need something for that. I recommend starting with Crayola Super Tips since they come in so many colors and are pretty affordable.
- Brush Pens. You might want to play with brush pens as well; for that, I’d recommend Tombow Dual Brush Pens for large Tipo and a lot of colors. You could also use Tombow Fuidenosuke for smaller brush-tip pens.
I could talk about stationery nonstop, so let’s just look into the free courses!
