Or maybe these aestehtic headers are more up your alley! They have more details and probably take a bit more work, but it's absolutely worth it since they all look so intricate and charming.
For me, it's all about color, so here is a set of easy and colorful header ideas. As you can see, they are all pretty easy to do, and only a few require brush lettering, but even so, you can always switch to faux calligraphy.
Speaking of brush lettering, if you're looking for an elegant and simple style for your headers, here are a few ideas.
If you don't know brush lettering yet, you can do what I used to do - draw the letters in pencil and then use a pen to create the calligraphy effect.

Of course, just because these are header ideas for April doesn't mean that you can't use them for any other purpose. And even though a lot of these are brush-lettered, a lot are not, so you have plenty of choices for beautiful and elegant headers.
Let's go minimalist and try headers that will only require you to use one pen. These are great for a quick entry, like on your weekly or daily spreads.
I know I love using ALL the colors, but here is a great demonstration of how much you can achieve if you use just two colors. Find the good combination of matching colors, and your headers will look stunning!
