Memory Page Ideas To Add To Your Bullet Journal

Sharing is caring!

There are plenty of Bullet Journal page ideas, including a few that are perfect for capturing life’s little joys, the moments you never want to forget, and everything in between.

Your Bullet Journal can be more than just a planner; it can become a treasure trove of memories. Adding memory pages to your journal is a creative and heartfelt way to preserve milestones, document adventures, or even celebrate the simple, everyday snippets of life that bring you happiness.

If you’re looking for some inspiration or just not sure how to get started, I gathered here for you several memory page ideas to help you preserve and relive the moments that matter most.

Creating memory-keeping pages in your Bullet Journal is more than just a creative outlet—it’s an incredible way to capture life’s fleeting moments and reflect on what matters most.

Chances are that a lot of your memories are being lost to time. Even if you manage to take a picture, you might never look back through the endless camera roll to find it. And remembering all the wonderful things is what helps us grow, appreciate the world around us, and realize that our lives are actually much happier and more exciting than our mind makes them out to be.

Life can feel overwhelming, but when you intentionally focus on what made you smile or what you feel proud of, it helps balance those tough days.

Memory pages also encourage personal reflection by providing a space where you can pause and document your experiences. Whether it’s writing about a meaningful conversation, journaling your thoughts after a significant event, or jotting down a few simple highlights of your day, these entries help you stay connected to your emotions and track how you’ve grown over time.

The creative side of memory-keeping is an added bonus! Playing around with different types of stationery and decorating styles without worrying about functionality can really allow your creativity to let loose!

It’s a fun, low-pressure way to express yourself, and experimenting with different designs can spark a lot of joy. Plus, looking back on these pages is like flipping through a scrapbook you created entirely from your own creative energy—it’s deeply satisfying and inspiring.

I hope by now you’re convinced and excited to get started on your own memory-keeping pages, and I’m eager to help you get the most out of it with these ideas!

Memory Keeping Supplies

First of all, let’s talk a bit about different supplies that you might need to create memory-keeping pages. I truly believe that when it comes to memory keeping, playing around with different stationery and trying out new things is half the fun!

Here are just a few items I think you’ll find inspiring and useful for your memory-keeping journey.

  • Pens and markers

To begin with, you’ll definitely need a good set of fineliners. Their black pens have archival ink, so they will not fade in time. They usually come in a set of different sizes, so you can have a variety of line thicknesses to use on your pages. I’d recommend getting Sakura Pigma Micron or Unipin Fineliners.

If you like the colors as much as I do, you’ll also want to get some markers. The choice of markers really depends on what kind of colors you like. For me, the choice is always Zebra Mildliners or Tombow Twin Tone markers.

But I can also highly recommend Crayola Super Tips – they come in so many colors! They are also on the affordable side and can actually used for brush lettering as well.

Speaking of brush lettering, if you want to add some of it to your pages, you should probably get a few brush pens. For a small tip, I can’t recommend Tombow Fudenosuke enough; they are very beginner-friendly and can be used for more than just brush lettering.

  • Decorative stationery

There are many different items that you can use to easily add decorating to your pages. To begin with, I’d recommend stickers.

Stickers are a fantastic way to set the mood or just be a visual representation of something that is happening. There are so many amazing sticker shops, all with stickers of different styles and purposes, so you’ll surely find one that fits you.

Here are a few of my favorite sticker shops: RoseKPaperCo, MarieAnneSo, frannielambstickers.

Washi tapes are another wonderful tool to add color to your pages or just fill out any blank space you might end up having. Be sure to check Washi Tape Shop – they have tapes of all sizes and all designs imaginable, so you can find some that fit your aesthetics.

Finally, I wanted to mention having a photo printer. I really feel like photos add a lot of character and personality to memory pages.

Of course, you can use your normal printer to do high-quality photos, but if you want something easier, I can recommend HP Sprocket mini printer. It prints pictures without ink, and the best part is that the paper is already a sticker, so you can easily stick the photos to your journal pages.

I can talk about stationery for hours, but I think this list covers all the important things. So let’s dive in and look at some page ideas.

Memory Page Ideas

I’ve been doing memory-keeping in my Bullet Journal for years, and these are some of my favorite layouts to create.

In this list, I want to share all the different kinds of memory-keeping pages that I’ve created so you can figure out for yourself how you would like to approach memory-keeping in your journal.

Year In Pictures

This is the layout that started my deep memory-keeping journey. I definitely got this idea from one of the Plan with Me videos I saw, but for the love of me, I can’t remember who.

To be transparent, I only did this page because I got the mini printer, and I really wanted to use it more, but in the end, I absolutely loved how this idea helped me put my entire year on paper!

The main idea with this layout is to have a picture for every month of the year that represents the brightest or maybe most important memory.

As you can see, I didn’t plan it properly, so some pictures had to be cut, but I think it kinda adds more character to the layout.

Monthly Review Page

A monthly review layout is a great way to summarise the month passed and check up on your goals and such.

But you can also use it as a memory-keeping page; it all depends on what kind of thing you include in your review.

When I started doping mem monthly reviews in 2020, it was all about memory keeping and writing down the most important and memorable things that happened that month.

Nostalgic Memory Page

You don’t really have to have a lot of things happening to you right now to create a memory-keeping page. You can absolutely create one with memories from a long, long time ago.

This is a page I created about some of the wonderful times I’ve had with my friends. And the reason – I simply missed my friends.

Creating a layout like this can help you feel more connected, reminiscent, and surrounded by love. It can also be a good reminder of things you enjoyed in the past and wonderful people you might want to catch up with.

About Me Page

You know I love to create about me pages, and I really think it is a wonderful way for memory keeping as well!

It helps you to kind of create a photo of who you are at the moment with all your preferences, worries and achievements.

I like adding a lot of mental things and lessons, but as you can see, I also added a lot of memories from that year and so many things that I’m excited about in the future.

Weekly Memory Pages

I started this practice in 2020, and I keep on coming back to it because there are so many beautiful little moments in each week that are forgotten!

It’s also a great reason to take out all the stationery that you have laid out and never use and try it out! I found that I had quite a few sticker books that I was never going to use in my planning pages, so I was happy to put them to use here.

The best part of your pages is that you’re the one who decides what you’ll be adding! As you can see, sometimes I just added swatches for the pens that I liked using that week.

That is to say; even if you feel like nothing really happens in your life to have a weekly memory-keeping page, there are still many little things you can include and have fun with.

Specific Event Memory Pages

Another interesting idea you might want to consider is creating a memory page around a specific event.

Your birthday, your graduation, a big Halloween party, or maybe a big road trip you took with your friends.

I wanted to create a layout for the difficult times we had in 2020 and to ensure that I highlighted a lot of good and fun things that happened rather than the difficulties.

Yearly Memory Page

We already looked at one yearly memory page with the year in photo layout, but I wanted to show you a different approach you can take.

You can add more text and the little mementos you gather along the way. Ticket to the show you visited, a cute card from your favorite coffee shop. All these elements are creating a fun and elaborate layout.

Honestly, the hardest part for me with this layout was to pick and choose the memories to include, because there were so many little details I wanted to add!

But I think this might be a good idea to try if this is your first time diving into memory pages.

Photo Collage

A fun and easy memory page is to create a photo collage from your favorite memories.

You can even use a tool like Canva to create a digital collage and then just print it out and put it on paper. The theme can be anything you want, from your last concert to just random treasured memories.

This is also a fantastic way to full out any empty pages in your Bullet Journal. This layout, for example, was created on top of a page that I never used.

Now, it’s a beautiful memory page, and nobody really knows what is hiding behind it all.

Journaling Type Memory Page

I’ve been sharing a lot of layouts that are very visual and colorful with you. I love that style, and I still think if you can show something visually, it’s the best way.

But if you don’t want to go all in with colors and doodles and stickers, you can definitely just write down your memories, feelings, and important highlights.

This is the style of memory pages that I started doing in 2025, and I really enjoyed it. Apart from things that happened, I started adding more details on some ideas I’ve had, and I’m sure it will be fun to look back at.

There you have it, nine ideas for different types of memory pages you can create in your Bullet Journal.
