The cute style is actually not as difficult as it might sound, and I’ll walk you through some tips and tricks as well, so you’ll be able to create the cutest pages in your own Bullet Journal.
I must admit, I love the cute style of Bullet Journaling, and everyone who says it’s childish just doesn’t get it.
Making your pages cute brings out all the wonders and happiness of childhood, but just because I have Pusheen on my journal pages doesn’t mean that it’s not a helpful page that helps me to rock my goals.
So always remember that your journal has your rules, and if you want to decorate it all with Hello Kitty – go for it!
But let’s talk about cute first.
What Is Kawaii
Kawaii is a Japanese word for cute, and I think it’s a perfect one for this lineup.
Kawaii can mean cute or cuteness in everything, from your hairpin to your bedroom design.
It’s hard to define exactly what can be called kawaii, since it depends on your own preferences. Still, generally, it’s something composed of simple outlines, pastel colors, and characters and objects with a rounded and youthful appearance.
It’s common to add cute expressions to kawaii doodles, even though it’s, of course, not a must-have.
How To Create Cute Doodles
Cuteness is in the eye of the beholder, but here are a few tips that I think will help you to get a better grasp on this style.
- Instead of pointy shapes, try to always make the corners rounded.
- You can add a simple face to make it cuter
- Make their body smaller and the face and eyes bigger
