Recipe Bullet Journal Page Ideas
Diving into the world of Bullet Journal page ideas, today, we’ll explore the creative addition of recipes to your journal.
Including recipes is not only fun but also practical. You’re far more likely to try a dish if it’s beautifully written or doodled on the pages of your notebook rather than lost in a Pinterest board or a random app.
Whether it’s a single page for quick favorites or a dedicated section, this idea can transform your BuJo into a personal cookbook. These journal ideas might even inspire you to take it further and start your very own recipe journal!

A recipe page can be a perfect way to remember something interesting you’ve seen online, or maybe just to never forget your grandma’s cake recipe.
Which I absolutely did; I wish I had a Bullet Journal when she shared her Napoleon cake recipe!
Writing down a recipe is also a good practice because it will help you to get a better understanding of how to make the dish.
So let’s take a look at all the different ways you can include recipes in your Bullet Journal.
There is also a FREE printable at the end of the post, so be sure to check it out.

Stationery Recommendations
Before we look at the recipe pages for you to get inspired by, let’s talk about some supplies that I’m sure you’ll find useful and enjoyable to play with.
So here are a few of my favorite supplies:
- Sakura Pigma Micron – fineliners are the basis of all your Bullet Journal pages, and you can’t go wrong with these. They also come with pens of different nib sizes, so you can have a wider variety of lines.
- Markers. If you want to add color to your page, you’ll need some markers. I love Tombow Twin Tone and Zebra Mildliners for their beautiful colors.
- Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens – these pens are perfect for beginners and will be a great help in adding beautiful brush lettering to your pages.
- Washi Tapes. They are an amazing way to add a spark of color and creativity to your pages, and it will be super fast as well!
Ok, hopefully you’re excited and looking forward to creating this layout in your dot grid journal, so let’s dive in!
Bullet Journal Recipe Page Ideas
When people say a recipe page, I always think of those boring old cookbooks where it's just a bunch of text. Those were always so difficult for me to work through.
Of course, now we know better how to present the information in a fun and creative way while also making it easier to understand. Like some of the pages below.
We're starting with something more illustrative and elaborate.
You don't have to create it like that, but it's a fun idea to combine practicality and creativity on one page.
If you want to decorate your page but are not sure about your creative abilities, you can always just use a photo. Even though of course, this page is also decorated with lemon doodles and beautiful brush lettering.
This is such a beautiful page, and I'm loving the style used here with all those browns.
It's kind of classy but also a bit spooky - a perfect one for a Halloween-themed recipe.
You don't have to be extra with your recipe pages, just writing down the ingredients and instructions can work just as well.
Just adding a little color and bullet points makes it so clear and easy to understand.
This is an easy recipe, so it's pretty convenient to use this style for it.
It's a perfect mix of doodles and text to create clear and easy-to-follow instructions.
I'm so obsessed with this page and with mac and cheese, actually.
It has all my favorite things - step-by-step instructions and visual representation. Plus, how absolutely stunning is the brush lettering in the header!
I love cute Bullet Journal pages, and this one is a great example of this style.
It's such a fun idea to divide the recipe using those little sticky notes. Those memos are super important! Often, I ignored memos and just followed the recipe, which didn't always end well.
Speaking of desserts, how amazing is this spread? The eclairs on the left look so delicious, I'm dreaming of having one right now.
I must say, for me, this recipe is not enough; I definitely need more detailed instructions for any sort of baking. But I'm pretty horrible when it comes to baking; for an experienced baker, this might be just enough information.
It seems like a lot of people are baking pros! This recipe also has so little information, more like a list of ingredients.
But it's super cute. I always say, if you draw your doodles smaller, it adds extra cuteness to them.
I love all the beautiful details the creator added to this layout, like kraft paper, washi tape and phiotos helping cretae the whole vibe of the recipe.
First of all, I want to mention that I'm in love with the colors here. This pink is incredible, so bright but also muted, and it works so well with brown.
Definitely special points for adding kraft paper here. I love using it to decorate my journal.
Who can tell me what's fruit soup? Is it a punch or a smoothie? I'm confused.
But no matter my confusion, I can still see how beautiful this page is, with cute illustrations and bright, happy summer colors.
We're finishing this list with a banger - an amazing spread for a fantastic dish.
I love all the details of the ingredients; it's all done in such an artistic style. And the dish is a salad, which is a traditional dish for the New Year celebration.
Maybe I should create a page like that in my journal just to add some holiday spirit to it.
