25+ Inspirational Self Care Bullet Journal Page Ideas
Whatever you need help with, there is a Bullet Journal page idea for it. In this post, we’ll look into some self-care journal ideas to help you take the best care of yourself.
Is life feeling a little hectic and stressful lately? I know how it feels! Luckily, taking some time out just for yourself can help you reset and recharge.
A great way to plan this self-care time is to create a Bullet Journal page full of self-care activities that inspire peace and relaxation.
In this blog post, we’ll show you more than 25 creative ideas on how to use your Bullet Journal to make sure you’re taking good care of yourself.

If you follow me on Instagram and see my stories, you probably think – this girl has it all together! And in many ways, I feel like I have to be that way.
But here is the truth – I do break quite a lot; it’s just something I do behind the scenes, quietly by myself.
What’s my problem? I get carried away with work, like a crazy person.
Being self-employed is something I have always dreamt of doing, and the fact that my business is so connected to Bullet Journaling, the thing I love doing the most, means that working is a pleasure!
Moreover, as a self-employed person, I know that I’ll get only as much as I give, so basically, the more I work, the more money I make. And that’s incentive enough.
So what happens is – I just wake up and sit down to work, I work work work the entire day, then go to sleep, wake up, and do the same thing.
All this, of course, was not helped by the pandemic we had in 2020.
So I burnt out, like a lot! One day, I could barely leave my bed, and when I sat down to work, I realized I had nothing to give; I had no creativity to keep being artistic and make awesome things I used to do.
That’s when it hit me: as much as I love my job and enjoy being a part of a fantastic Bullet Journal community, I need to think of myself and take some time for self-care.
So let’s dive in, and I’ll share how you can use your journal to take better care of yourself, including the exact pages that are absolute game-changers!
I also wanted to mention you should scroll until the end to get some more ideas and FREE printables! Uh, and you can also find a video of me creating a fw self-care pages.

Using Bullet Journal For Self-Care
Let me tell you, using a Bullet Journal for self-care has been a game-changer. It’s not just about writing down your daily affirmations (although that’s important too), but you can also track your mood, water intake, exercise, and other self-care practices to make sure you’re staying on top of your mental and physical health.
Plus, all the fun stickers and colorful pens make it way easier to actually stick to your routine.
Bullet Journaling is also an incredibly cathartic activity to do when you’re trying to focus on your well-being.
Whether you’re artistic or not, it can be fun to doodle and decorate your planner with your favorite colors and designs. And let’s not forget the satisfaction of crossing off tasks and habits you’ve completed.
At the end of the day, Bullet Journaling is a great way to give yourself a little extra love and maybe even discover some new things you enjoy along the way.
Self-Care Bullet Journal Page Ideas
As somebody who has been Bullet Journaling since 2018, I’ve tried a lot of different self-care journla ideas, and now I’m excited to share them all with you!
But first, a little warning, or more like a technique to use before you actually decide that you need ALL these ideas in your journal right now.
I find that before you start, you might want to go through some self-care ideas and ask yourself what things you need more care and love with. So think of that, choose a page or two, and start there – do not overwhelm yourself trying to experiment with all these ideas at the same time.
Ok, with that important disclaimer out of the way, let’s look at the layouts.
Self-Care Ideas Spread
The first spread you can create is a page with self-care ideas. What are some things that can help you feel better in all the areas above?
You can do whatever you want with this page – a bunch of doodles, a list with text. Just as long as you have it and can reference it when you’re feeling down and need some help.
This idea is guidance for you, so when you’re feeling low and don’t have the bandwidth to make a good decision, this layout will take the pressure away and gently help you do something for yourself that will actually make you feel better.

This is a great example that you can make something very simple and minimalist, and it will still do what it has to do. This layout has no extra decorations or elaborate drawings, but it gives you all the different ideas you need to take better care of yourself.
I love the idea of dividing it into different categories as well. That way, all you need to do is ask yourself what kind of love you want right now, and this list will give you ideas that are so much better than junk food and Netflix.

If you want something in a different style and more decorative, this page is a wonderful source of inspiration. I love the cozy, poetic feel of this layout; just looking at it already makes me feel calmer.

Mind map format like this one is very easy to understand and visually very appealing. I love everything that can help visually simplify the information.
There aren’t that many ideas here, but you don’t need many; it just has to be things that really work for you.

This is a beautiful and well-organized layout. I love how Jess added so many categories, and I think having the icons for each category is very helpful.
The black-and-white style makes it look very minimalist, and nothing really steals your attention- you go straight to the self-care ideas you need.

This is my page with self-care ideas, and as you can see, I also divided them into different categories. But I love color too much, so this layout is brimming with it.
I find that this list was very useful, but I needed to update it every few years, simply because as my life changes, so do the things that help me feel better.

Here is another mind map format for your self-care list ideas. This one is much simpler with just text, but the creator did a beautiful job by adding incredible gold accents to make it a bit more fun.
Find Time For Self-Care Journal Page
One of the main problems we have with following through with self-care is finding the time. It feels like there is never any time to do that.
However, it’s actually a misconception. Finding time for self-care is much easier than you think!
Just sit down and think of ways you can find 10-15 minutes in your day to spend on yourself. Writing it down on paper will help you realize you might have more free time to spare than you thought.
For me, this is a useful page to check whenever I find myself putting off self-care and thinking I don’t have time for it. A look at this layout is enough to remind me I do have the time for it; I just ignore my own needs.

This is the first page I created with a few ideas. It is a simple list, so it was very quick to create. And over time, as I had more time, I just added some self-care doodles at the bottom, which by itself was a calming activity for me.
This is a good example of how even creating a page with ideas can just take a few minutes if you don’t have much time.
Self Care On The Go
Another thing you can do to make sure you find time for self-care is to create a list of little things you can do for yourself.
Create a short list of things that take just 10-15 minutes and reference it every time you find those extra little breaks for yourself.

Look at this list as a bunch of quick win ideas – you’ll have something done for yourself, feel better, and also get an extra kick that you actually followed through and took care of yourself.
This could definitely just have been a list, but I wanted to add a visual element, so I included those little icon doodles as well.

This was the first time I tried to create a page of quick self-care wins, and these are really the things I do even now. So really, even after all those years, this layout is still here to help me.
And I think this is a benefit of many of the pages on this list – you can create it once, and it will serve you for years!
Solo Or Relationship Recharge Ideas
Going on a date is a special treat, and I think it is a great way to practice a bit of a more fancy type of self-care.
And when I say date, it doesn’t have to be a romantic date together; it can be just you organizing an activity for yourself as a solo date, or maybe a friend date!
I’ve been doing it for a while, and it’s really nice and fun. I feel like it’s helping me to show myself and the universe that I’m worth all the love and care out there.

As beneficial as I found this idea, somehow this is an ot actually a page I’ve ever created, but Erin from The Petite Planner has a very beautiful example of this layout.
I love this list because it proves that date night doesn’t have to be full of elaborate ideas; you can do simple things and enjoy them just as much fun.
Self Care Bingo
A fun way to monitor your self-care is by creating a self-care bingo. Gamifying different aspects is always a fun way to motivate yourself to do it
Fill each square with a small self-care action (e.g., drink water, go outside) and aim to complete 3–5 squares per week.
The examples on this page follow the same format, so this is mostly just to show you some different styles and aesthetics you can try.

Bingo is pretty straightforward, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it your own or make it extra fun. This creator went for adorable little doodles for each activity, and of course I love the visual element.
There are also only 16 items in this bingo, meaning that it’s pretty easy to do everything on the table in just one month.

This is my own self-care bingo spread. I must say, I think I made a small mistake by not making it a square, but that’s a detail for the future; the bingo itself is still functional.
My main idea here was to create something simple, and I think that I succeeded. I also made sure to add a variety of activities, from basic to those that would require effort. That way, I get to choose a self-care activity that fits my current needs and availability.

Lovely little bingo, and again, I love how it’s filled with really easy things to do.
I also feel like it’s pretty cool that there’s color-coding for every month of the year. That way, you can create a bingo once for the entire year. Because let’s be honest- you don’t need to come up with new self-care ideas; you need to be consistent with the ideas that are already working for you.

I had to include this aesthetically looking Bullet Journal spread. I love the neat look of the page and the great contrast with black and gold.
About Me Bullet Journal Page
I create about me pages at the beginning of every page, and it’s super fun. But there is a self-care component to it as well.
It helps me think more about where I am in life and what’s going well and what isn’t. This, in turn, helps me see where I need to show more love in my life.

I’ll only include this one example of an about me page here, since I actually have an entire blog post about this spread and how to create it in your journal.

Aesthetic Routine Ideas
Routines are essential for your self-care (and productivity and pretty much anything else in your life!). Having a routine allows you to spend less of your mental energy on things you have to do and keep more of that energy on things you enjoy doing or that will bring big change to your life.
You can also move a step further and actually include self-care activities into your daily routines. Creating routines or adding new elements to your existing routines is a great way to make sure you follow through with that new habit.

This is my morning routine, but here I didn’t actually plan out the entire routine; this is more like a list of things I’d like to do in the morning.
As you can see, this list has a lot of things, and I can’t do them all, but it is more of a brain dump of what I want to include in my routine. I try to do at least some of these when I wake up.
I would recommend creating a layout like this one just to see what you want included, and then use it as a reference every time to decide whether to update your routine and how to level it up.

Here is another take on the morning routine. As you can see, she actually timed and scheduled all her morning tasks.
I must say it’s really amazing that she wakes up at 5:30. I used to wake up that early when I lived in China, and it really feels amazing to be up before the entire city.

As you can see, I created a routine with steps that follow one another. But I gave myself some leeway by not adding the timeframe.
That way, I kind of allow myself to wake up later or earlier and also take time to enjoy all the morning tasks.
Skincare Spread
Speaking of routines, why not create a special spread for your skincare? Maybe a skincare routine or just a tracker for your skincare products.
I sure do feel much better when I follow through with all my skincare routines and use all those fancy bottles I have in my bathroom.
I don’t know about you, but for me, skincare is an essential part of self-care, because looking good helps me feel better. And I always feel so well taken care of when I do all my masks and serums.
Plus, a skincare routine layout definitely helps stay consistent and eventually leads to better results.

When I first tried to create this idea, I went with a weekly spread format because a lot of the skincare I used at the time didn’t need to be done every day. Depending on your routine, this might be a good format for you to try as well.

This is a bit of a different approach, where the creator just listed the products they are using. What I love about this spread is that they wrote when they bought it, so they are always aware when something needs to be repurchased.
That way, you always have your favorite things available, and actually going out to get some of your favorite skincare products can be a self-care activity.
Beauty Tracker
Continuing with a similar idea, one more self-care practice that often gets overlooked is taking care of how you feel in your own skin — and a beauty tracker page is a perfect way to do that.
Think of it less as a checklist and more as a little reminder to carve out time for yourself. Whether that’s a face mask night, keeping up with your skincare routine, or just remembering to drink enough water — tracking these small acts of self-love adds up in a big way.

I assigned each little flower to a different self-care ritual — a face mask, a body scrub, a hair mask — and colored it in on the days I actually showed up for myself. It sounds simple, but seeing that page fill up is such a satisfying reminder that you are taking care of yourself, even on the busy weeks when it doesn’t feel like it.
Self Love Spread
Self-love is an important part of self-care. I know sometimes we all have moments when we just don’t feel right, and usually, the first reaction is to get upset and have some chocolate rather than do some self-care and cheer up.
This spread will always be a great reference and reminder that you love yourself and that you’re amazing! It’s a great way to keep your head up and maybe do something for yourself instead of being sad.

This page was very therapeutic to create. I don’t know about you, but I usually don’t think of myself that way. I’m so used to myself that I end up thinking about things I want to improve, rather than the awesome thing I already have.
Creating this spread really reminded me of all the good things I have and really cheered me up.

Another take on a similar page. This time, it helps you to remember your good qualities and all the things you can do. It’s really a fantastic reminder of your strengths and a massive boost for the day when you’re feeling down.
Happiness Spread
We all need some pick-me-up from time to time, so try creating a spread with things that make you happy!
It’s not just a way to practice self-care (for me personally, sitting down with my bujo is all I ever need!); it’s also a great way to cheer yourself up in the future. Look at this spread and remember how much you love all these, or maybe use it as a reference and go play with your neighbor’s corgi! (at least until you get your own!).

I started by actually creating a happiness jar. I felt like it might be a fun concept to just draw a jar and doodle all the things that bring me joy inside it!
Kind of made me want to create an actual jar and add their little notes with things I like. Wouldn’t that be a fun idea!

The second time I decided to do this page, I just created a list with some doodles and text. I feel that that way I got a lot more on the page, and now it’s a great reference page for gloomy days.
Looking back at my list, I feel like I missed so many simple things that cost nothing and take no time!

I really like this spread and how many simple things she included there that take almost no effort but bring so much joy, like singing or petting a dog.
This reminded me of the 14 days I spent locked in a hotel room during quarantine. I was so desperate for happiness that I started throwing dance parties and sometimes singing. It might’ve looked crazy to others, but I was alone; it made me happy, so I did it!

A lovely list of things to cheer her up by one of my favorite artists, Nicole.
Her doodles are just the cutest ever, so I had to include them on this list.

I love how this list is full of pretty simple things you can do any day, but I have to agree – all of these sound wonderful!
Except for maybe cooking, this is the worst thing for me.
Quote Page
Quotes are a powerful tool to influence your moods and actions. Make sure to include some quotes to remind yourself how important and amazing you are and how worthy it is to spend time on yourself. Self-care isn’t selfish!
And I would definitely say that just spending some time being creative, making a quote page, is an act of self-care.

For me, this quote is a good reminder that no matter how hard it gets, it will be over one day, and you’ll be a better person for that. I thought flowers were a perfect way to decorate this one.
Replenish Your Energy
We all have those times when we’re just too darn tired to do anything but be a blob. As an introvert, this happens to me more than I’d like to admit — first it was office work and more social interaction than I could handle, and now that I’m self-employed, it’s way too easy to work myself into oblivion because I genuinely love what I do.
That’s why having a list of things that actually restore your mental energy is such a game-changer. So when you hit that wall, you have something to turn to — because let’s be honest, four hours of Netflix never left anyone feeling recharged.

On my page above, I also decided to divide activities into those I can do myself and those I can do with people.
As an introvert, I always have to remind myself to actually spend time with people since my first reaction is always to be by myself. But this really isn’t good, since in many situations being alone actually hurts you more than it helps.

Really love these tips for distressing. These might be simple things, but it’s incredible how much they can actually make you feel better.
Mental Health Pages
Tracking your mental health can help you to deal with it better. It can give you clues on where you should pay more attention to yourself, and what kind of self-care would suit you better at the time.

If you’re dealing with a chronic condition, going through a stressful season, or just want to better understand your body, a symptom tracker is such a valuable page to have. It helps you spot patterns, stay mindful of how you’re really doing, and know when it’s time to slow down.
And I love the idea of adding a little quote somewhere on the page — because on the hard days, you need that reminder of just how strong you actually are.

Another great mental health tracker. I really love how this one is divided into categories like emotional health and physical health.
Also note that amazing add at the bottom with sleep, moods, and energy levels. Altogether, it helps you create a full picture of your health, both mental and physical.
Mood Tracker
Another way to track your mental health would be to create a mood tracker. Check your mood correlations with different things you do during the day to make sure you can create the best self-care routine for yourself.

This mood tracker was actually inspired by self-care. I was thinking of something nice and relaxing I could do for myself, and taking a bath was the first thing that came to mind.
Taking a bath is kind of a luxury for me since, in the last 10 years, none of my houses or apartments actually had baths. It’s not that I used to take many baths; I’m always a shower girl. But you know how it is – when you don’t have something, you end up wanting it even more.
Back to the tracker – the main concept here is to color each bubble according to my mood. You can see I have a key at the bottom that shows which color corresponds to which mood.
Bad Day Checklist
Sometimes you’re just having a bad day, and you don’t have the energy to do anything.
And that’s the problem because you don’t have the energy to even do things that would make you feel better.
This checklist really helps with this. It’s a page with some very simple self-care ideas that you can do even on a bad day. Just look at this page and follow through with the list. It will be much easier than coming up with something to do right now.

I love this one; so simple and yet so very powerful! I love that all the steps are so simple and easy to do, so I feel like you get to calm down just by seeing how easy it is to make your day better.
Affirmation
Dedicating a page to affirmations is one of my favorite ways to use a self-care journal.
A simple way to structure it is to write a few statements that directly counter your biggest self-doubts — so they feel personal and specific, not just generic positivity.
Read through them on the rough days, and you’ll be surprised how much it shifts your mindset.

Affirmations are also a fun idea for using any lined-page notebook you have. As you can see, this is exactly what I’ve done.
If you’re not sure where to start, do what I did: I found some affirmations online that looked like they’d fit a change I want to see in my mindset.
Things To Stop Doing To Yourself
Self-care isn’t only about doing things for yourself; it’s also about not doing some things for yourself.
Take a pause and think of what stops you from being 100%. What are you doing that is making you less happy?
Recognize those evil habits and put them on paper. Accepting that you have them is a very strong first step towards building a better, happier you.

I think this page has a lot of great points to think about. I also really enjoy these beautiful roses that look so perfect, especially for such a significant page.
Compliments Log
Self-care goes together with self-love. Sometimes we all need a little nudge in that direction to remind us how awesome and worthy we are. Create the little compliments spread and write them down every time somebody says something nice about you.
It’s really baffling how we tend to ignore the many good things others actually say about us.

I love the color scheme of this page and how there are these tiny hearts, perfect for sharing some love with yourself.
Every time you remember something nice somebody told you – write it down!
Gratitude Log
Part of your self-care routine definitely should be reminding yourself of all the wonderful things you have in your life. A gratitude log is exactly the place to do so.
It’s a very simple practice, but over time, it can change you and the way you see the world in an incredibly positive way.

I really loved my gratitude log from the March 2020 Bullet Journal setup. I started by drawing the letter G and then adding some fun self-care doodles around it. This is the centerpiece of this gratitude log.
The idea is to fill it out with the gratitudes around the letter in the middle. If your handwriting is pretty, it will just be an extra decoration on the page. If it’s kind of like mine, it will vary from day to day.

Generally, a gratitude log is probably the easiest page to set up.
You want to leave as much space as possible for actually writing the gratitudes, so all you need is just a header.
Health Tracker
If physical self-care is your thing, your journal is a great place to track it too — workouts, water intake, sleep, whatever helps you feel good in your body.
It doesn’t have to be elaborate; even a simple weekly log can make a real difference in how consistent you stay.

This is one of my most popular pages – my full health tracker. This one I created separately from my usual habit tracker just to keep an eye on everything I do for my health.
Here are all the things I felt I had to do for my health at the time, and this tracker really helped me stick to them. Except for maybe some very hard things to do, like days without sugar. Even so, just having a few per month is actually a huge win for me.

Another cool idea for tracking your health – a year of health challenges. That way, you always ensure you do at least some physical activity (which is extra important now that we are in a pandemic and sitting at home).
Plus, by having a different type of challenge each month, you keep your workouts more varied and interesting.
Water Log
I’ll be honest — I grew up completely underestimating how much water matters. It wasn’t until I moved to China, where staying hydrated is practically a cultural value, that I started paying real attention to it. The difference in how I felt was kind of shocking.
Now drinking enough water is one of the simplest but most impactful things I do for myself every day, and logging it in my journal keeps me accountable without any pressure. Sometimes the most unglamorous self-care habits are the ones that change everything.

This is the monthly water tracker I created in a B5 journal.
B5 is much larger than your usual A5, so I wanted to include something else to fill the space and also to kind of motivate me to drink more water. I think this worked out pretty nicely!
Sleep Log
Sleep is probably the most neglected way of self-care. It’s definitely the first thing to go when we need some extra time.
Of course, we shouldn’t do that. If you don’t get enough sleep, you won’t be at your 100%; you will make more mistakes, and generally, you’ll be more prone to having a tough day ahead of you. Create a sleep log and make sure you get your needed dose of rest.

My little sleep tracker – as you can see, I didn’t want to write hour numbers for each day, so I just decided to track how many hours I slept.
Instead of writing the hours for each day, I have a column on the right where I wrote the time when I went to bed and woke up. A little trick you might want to use in your journal if you decide to create a sleep tracker as well.
Meditation Bullet Journal Tracker
Meditation is an amazing way to practice self-care. It can take as little as 3-5 minutes of your time, but they’ll be meaningful minutes.
Meditation will help you settle down, find yourself, and see all your problems from a different perspective. It creates a little happy place inside your mind that’s just yours.
Make a little meditation tracker and try to find 5 minutes a day to practice.

In case the illustration on this tracker looks familiar – that’s because this is one of the characters from an app called Headspace. This is an app for meditation, which I’ve been using for a few years now and absolutely love.
Mindfulness Bullet Journal Page
Mindfulness is a little different from meditation — it’s less about sitting still and more about how you move through your day. A mindfulness tips page is basically your personal cheat sheet for staying present: little reminders, techniques, or moments that help you slow down and actually notice your life.
I started building mine during the chaos of 2020, and honestly, it became one of the most-referenced pages in my whole journal. When everything feels like too much, having those anchors written down makes a bigger difference than you’d expect.

I love this page and the quote on the left; it’s a good reminder to take care of yourself first.
Bucket List
It’s so easy to get lost in the daily grind and forget to actually do the things that fill you up. That’s exactly where a self-care bucket list comes in.
Pick a timeframe — a season, a month, the whole year — and fill it with things that are purely for you. Some ideas to get you started:
- A solo coffee shop morning with a good book
- A long bath with candles and no phone
- Trying a new skincare routine
- A day trip somewhere you’ve never been
- A digital detox weekend
- Cooking a meal you’ve always wanted to try
- Starting a creative hobby just for fun
- A full night of uninterrupted sleep (yes, this counts!)
The key is to actually follow through on at least some of them — because self-care only works if you treat it like a priority, not an afterthought.

This is an example of a fall self-care bucket list. It has plenty of activities you can enjoy year-round, but there is something special about Fall for me. A lot of my bucket lists are for that particular season.
Maybe it’s because Fall is such a transition period that I always feel like I need some extra love.
Brain Dump
Sometimes when we get swamped with all the things, we need to find time for ourselves to unload it all. The brain dump is a fantastic tool to do so.
Open the next empty page in your Bullet Journal and just start writing. Write down everything – your to-do list, your worries, whatever you have on your mind. This will give you a well-deserved break to spend some time on yourself.

A brain dump might look like a very dull page since you need to leave as much space as possible to actually write down EVERYTHING. But it’s definitely one of the most useful pages you can have.
Here is an example of an after-the-pen brain dump spread from my November 2020 Bullet Journal setup. It was so useful that I now create a brain dump almost every month. Life is busy, and if this little page can elevate some of my stress – I’m up for it!
