Bullet Journal Travel Savings Tracker Ideas
There are plenty of Bullet Journal page ideas for all areas of your life, but when it comes to planning your next big adventure, a travel savings tracker can be the ultimate game-changer.
Have you ever daydreamed about sipping coffee in a Parisian cafe or exploring the vibrant streets of Tokyo, only to be brought back to reality by your bank account?
Fear not!
With a little creativity and a few colorful pens, you can transform your Bullet Journal into a tool that helps you save for your dream trip.
In this post, we’ll explore innovative ways to track your travel savings, making your wanderlust-fueled dreams a tangible reality. Let’s get started on this exciting journey!
Using a savings tracker for your trips is like having a personal cheerleader for your finances. It starts by helping you set clear, achievable goals, breaking down that dream getaway into manageable savings targets.
As you track your progress, you get a visual cue of your growing savings, which isn’t just satisfying but also hugely motivating.
This visual growth taps into the psychological boost we all need, encouraging more disciplined spending habits along the way. Plus, there’s something incredibly empowering about seeing your hard work accumulate, giving you a sense of accomplishment and reinforcing your financial control.
By the time you’re ready to book that trip, you’ll feel not only excited but also proud of the journey you took to get there.
You can get all that in more from just one amazing page in your Bullet Journal.
Before we dive into this, though, I wanted to mention a few more things. Be sure to check the end of the post for some FREE Bullet Journal printables to help you with your travel plans.

Stationery Recommendations
There’s a lot of stationery out there, so it’s easy to get lost and get the things you won’t like using or that are not good quality.
I obviously don’t want you to struggle, and since you’ll need some supplies for creating savings trackers, I decided to share some of my top recommendations.
These are perfect for your travel journaling but work perfectly for your usual Bullet Journal as well.
- A journal. You’ll need a journal for all your travel pages. You can use a usual journal, like my favorite Archer And Olive notebooks (use code MASHA10 for 10% OFF), or you can do something more like a refillable travel notebook.
- Sakura Pigma Fineliners – these are a staple for creating any Bullet Journal spread. Their black archival ink and many different nib sizes will allow you to create stunning and elaborate pages.
- Tombow Fude Brush Pen – These small tip brush pens are universal. You can create elaborate brush lettering and beautiful headers or just use them for drawing.
- Markers. You probably want to add some colors to your pages, and I recommend choosing a few of your favorite markers. For me, it’s absolutely Zebra Mildliners.
With all your stationery ready, let’s dive into travel savings tracker inspirations and find the perfect format for you.
Bullet Journal Travel Savings Tracker Ideas
When it comes to traveling, I always found that saving up for a trip is the hardest part of the entire process, but Bullet Journal changed the game for me in that area as well.
A savings tracker is a fantastic tool, and it's worth using it to ensure that you have an amazing adventure on your next trip.
In this post, I've gathered several inspirations, all from different creators, so you'll be able to choose from different formats and decoration methods and find something that resonates with you and your style.
I love htis tracjker, it's. It's a pretty simple format, but it's straight up to the point, and as you can see, the creator is doing pretty well following through on their savings goals.
I love how she decided to make accents on the decorative header. The travel word has a beautiful pattern, and the bulky font contrasts well with the gentle brush lettering of the word savings.
I also definitely adore the quote at the bottom. I never thought of traveling that way, but it rings so true!
A fun idea for a savings tracker is to make it in the same theme as the destination you're planning to visit. In this case, it's all about Disneyworld, and you can clearly see the Mickey outline on the tracker.
I really like that the creator made it Disney-themed but still kept up with the general theme of the pages by adding those floral doodles.
Following the theme of flowers, here is a different savings tracker. I love the concept of your savings being like a plant you're growing. I think adding a nurturing element to the savings process helps with actually reading your savings goals.
Another great trick that the creator is using here is setting very direct goals for what exactly you're saving for. After all, saving for a fancy handbag is much easier than saving to have savings, even though you definitely should do that as well.
I love this tracker! It has a pretty simple design, but it's very powerful. Each brick is just 10 dollars, so it's easier to take a little bit and start coloring. The more you color, the more you'll want to add to your savings fund.
And I like that the creator added this header centerpiece to symbolize all the fun and adventure she's actually saving for.
Anything can be a theme for your savings tracker. I don't know why this creator chose oranges, but it's definitely working. I love the customization you can do by coloring each orange in different colors.
It's also a great example of using two pages for your savings tracker. If you need more space - go for it and use more space; there is no need to limit your creativity.
This tracker looks lovely, I adore the cute little doodles and how each category seems like you're building a tower every time you add to your savings.
Personally, I like having savings trackers for smaller goals, so I'd instead create more trackers before I get to the big big number I want. This is a trick that helps me stay motivated because larger trackers like these take longer to fill out, and I can already feel that my motivation would be draining.
But it's all very personal, so give it a try and see what kind of trackers help you do the best with your savings.
This is more my style; every goal is very clear and achievable and not at all scary. I like how the creator used bright and happy colors, making the page more fun!
Did you notice the small details the creator used to make the page a bit more decorative? I love the simple but stylish design of the borders they added around the two pages.
Having a savings jar is a traditional way to set up a savings tracker, but that doesn't mean you can't personalize it and make it look adorable. Just the little sticker the creator added to the jar already adds to the design, but as time can see, they went further and added florals to the page as well.
Flowers are much easier to doodle than you think, and they are a top way to decorate your journal for a good reason—there is such a wide variety of styles, and florals can fit any season!
Last but not least, I'd be a very on-point savings tracker; I personally also love that the creator has a section for general travel and a separate section just for Disneyland.
The sticker they chose to decorate this page is also perfect to remind you to save up for your adventures and enjoy them thoroughly!
