Stationery Recommendations
First, let’s talk about Bullet Journal supplies you’ll need to create weekly spreads in your Bullet Journal.
Just remember, that when you buy new supplies get something that fitsy our style and aesthetics. Thanksfully, a lot of these supplies are either universal or come in many color options so you can choose some that match your style.
Here we go:
- Fineliners. Black fineliners are the bread and butter of my journal and I can’t recommend them enough. Smooth, with very black ink, waterproof, and usually available with different tip sizes – fineliners will transform your weekly spreads! Some of my favorites are Faber Castell Pitt Artist and Sakura Pigma Micron.
- Markers. There are so many amazing markers to add color to your journal! My current favorites are Crayola Super Tips. Some other options I love are Tombow Dual Brush Pens and Zebra Mildliners.
- Rulers and stencils. A while ago when I just started journaling I got these stencils off Etsy and they really were a game changer!
- Washi tape. This is not something I use often, but at some point I started getting into it and it’s amazing how easily washi tape can add a creative spark to your page, with no fuzz at all. For washi tape check Washi Tape Shop, they have all kids of sizes and designs available!
Ok, enough with stationery talk, let’s move to the main topic of this post – inspirations for weekly spread to try in your Bullet Journal this December.
Bullet Journal December Weekly Spread Inspirations
Time to look at some inspiring weekly pages and get your creative juices flowing. Every creator has their own approach and their own theme idea for December, so here I gathered weekly spreads from different people.
That way, you can look at different ways to do it and pick the elements that you like to create your own unique weekly spread to use this December.
Let's dive in!
Starting with my own weekly spread. Dec ember is a very busy month so I decided to do a little mind map to classify all the things I needed to do that week. I still think it's a very useful technique for extremely busy and overwhelming weeks.
Botanical elements are always great to decorate your Bullet Journal pages, and this is a great example of how you can keep drawing nature but customize it for cold December weather.
Red is such a cheerful color, and you can't argue that it's very closely associated with Christmas. So if you want to add a bit of holiday cheer, just using red and a metallic pen would be enough, just like on this weekly spread.
This weekly layout looks amazing, and I absolutely adore the illustrations of all the happy penguins. It would definitely be a perfect layout for December or even any other winter month.
I don't know about you, but for me, December is a magical month, so Harry Potter is definitely a perfect theme for that time. Here is a pretty simple weekly spread for my Harry Potter December, where I mostly concentrated on using the house colors and the magical font.
This weekly spread is amazing, from the structure to the beautiful lettering, everything makes it so unique. And I must say I especially love kraft paper. I think it really adds a cozy feel to the layout.
Since December is already winter time, a cozy spread with an illustration of a winter coat seems perfect. And I specifically love the colors the creator used here; they match so week and still have that cold feeling in them.
At first glance, this layout looks like a very simple Christmas weekly spread. But It's actually a Dutch door spread! You can see the middle flap is actually cut out, and the rest of the week is probably on the other side.
If you want to do a Christmas theme for December but don't want to spend too much time on it, here is a wonderful example of a quick and stylish design you can try.
I love the cozy feel of this layout that is created with the use of kraft paper and the photos of cozy apartments. I also loved the creator using stamps on this page; it really created a special feeling for all the headers.
I love the pages that are created on black paper. It really helps the colors to pop even more! Also, in this particular layout, I must mention that the writing is just perfect on all the headers.
Since December is the holiday season, it's definitely to be expected to have some weekly layouts inspired by holiday things. And what can be more Christmas than Grinch?!
You can do whatever you want with your journal, and even when everyone is doing a Christmas theme, if you feel like being different - go for it. Like this creator who went for this stunning moth theme for their weekly spread, and it came out looking incredible.
If during the holiday season, you're feeling extra crafty, you can absolutely try and add some extra elements to your weekly spreads, like this fantastic Christmas tree! And as you play around with the colors of the tree and the paper, you can have so many different looks to the same page design.
I thought this was just a cozy home kind of weekly spread, but then I took a closer look. The cookies are the cookies for Santa, and in the other corner, you can see sneaky wrapped gifts. Is that a secret Christmas weekly layout? I don't know, but either way it looks great!
Not everyone is using an A5-sized journal; some people might be using smaller notebooks like this one. But just because you have less space doesn't mean you don't have enough space to be creative!
The thing I love about Bullet Journaling is that you can play around with colors as you want. If you want your Christmas to be all about pastels - go for it! You can create an absolutely stunning layout like this one.
I love this layout, with the beautiful kraft paper, washi tape accents, and stunning handwriting for the headers. It creates the cozy and welcoming feel of a cabin in the woods.
Last but not least is this stunning weekly spread. I love the handwriting of the creator, it looks so neat and so well organized!
