But I always find that having great stationery you’re excited about makes the process more fun and pages even more creative.
- Fineliners. These are the basics for every Bullet Journal page, perfect for drawing and doodling. I recommend Sakura Pigma Micron, which also comes in a set with different nib sizes, allowing you a variety of line thicknesses.
- Markers. If you want to add color to your pages, you’ll need some markers. Your choice will depend on what colors you like. My top choices are Zebra Mildliners and Tombow Twin Tone.
- Brush pens. To add beautiful brush lettering to your weekly spreads, you need a good set of brush pens. I recommend Tombow Fudensuke since they are smaller tips and pretty easy to master. If you’re looking for a larger brush pen and something with tons of colors, you can’t go wrong with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
- Stencils. These little helpers are great to allow you to set up your weekly spreads faster. I recommend these weekly spread stencils that are built specifically for your weekly pages.

Weekly Layout Bullet Journal Ideas
There are many ways to create a weekly spread and even more ways to customize and decorate it. So, I say it's always great to see many inspirations so you can figure out the elements that you'll use in your own weekly pages.
For that goal, I've gathered 19 pages from different creators, each having their own style. I'm sure among these, you'll find inspirations to use in your own weekly layouts.
Let's dive in!
This is a pretty simple horizontal weekly spread, but I think the use of paper of different colors is what made it one of my most popular weekly spreads. It took a while to watch it all, especially since you can see I used different colored pens for different papers.
But once it was done, using it was easy and very convenient. And I think it came out pretty stylish.
This vertical weekly spread uses gold accents as I did, and they look stunning with the pink color the creator chose for the framing of the weekly.
I love the customization possible for a weekly spread. There is plenty of space, and this creator decided to fill it out with the color, but if you need it for anything else - you can add plenty of trackers and lists around your usual daily boxes.
Just because some people get extra with their weekly spread designs, it doesn't mean you have to. This is a fantastic example of a pretty simple weekly spread with just a few color accents. Yet it has an aesthetic look to it I absolutely love, a wonderful way to stay organized in style.
This spread is a great example of how much you can include in one weekly spread if you need it, of course. Apart from daily planning, here you also see a time tracker, meal plan, and even a reading tracker.
A pretty simple way to add variety to your weekly spread is by using colorful paper.
Personally, I use Archer and Olive notepads for this type of paper, which can come in many different colors and have a dot grid. If you decide to get some, use code MASHA10 to get 10% OFF your order.
You can do anything you want with your weekly spread. This means playing with more than just colors or decorations. In this example, the creator used a triangle for daily boxes, which ended up having enough space and looking pretty interesting.
There are definitely weeks when you only need a one page weekly spread. It also works if you're using a larger journal, like my Nuuna journal here or a B5 notebook. Here is just one of the examples on creating a quick and small weekly page.
Flowers are timeless, and they are a go-to decoration for your Bullet Journal page for a good reason. They always look beautiful and fit any season. Here is an example of how stylishly you can incorporate them into your weekly spread, and you don't even need anything other than a black and gold pen.
And if you're on the lookout for a good gold metallic pen, your best choice will be these Sakura Gelly Roll gold pens.
This page has a pretty easy format, but the creator really made it stand out with the colorful decorations and beautiful and neat-looking headers.
This weekly blog is beautiful, and it's a great example of a subtle way to use stickers and washi tapes for add character to your journal pages.
I also really adore the font the creator used for the headers; so whimsical and neat!
I gave you before an example of a one-page weekly spread with a few decorations included. But here is a different approach - having one page for your weekly spread and another one just for decorations. Beautiful, and the font the creator used is very interesting and different looking.
To date this has been my favorite weekly spread I've ever created. It really allowed me so much space to plan my days, but also to have my priorities set for every day of the week. This was a productivity powerhouse weekly!
If you want to have a well-structured weekly with just a few fun additions, here is a. example for you. All information is structured, and the weekly spread looks very organized, yet the creator still added some fun banners and boxes to add creativity to the page.
You definitely can customize your weekly spread to fit any theme you can think of. This one is obviously a coffee theme, and I adore the details of the Starbucks coffee mugs.
Another floral weekly with small topical flower doodles. I also think one of the best things that decorate this spread is the lettering!
And don't worry, if you don't know how to do brush lettering yet, you can always try to do some faux calligraphy to get the same result.
I must admit, I fell head over heels in love with this color combination. Black and hot pink were born to be together! So much so that I actually used the same colors in one of my monthly themes.
As you can see, this weekly spread is all about business, and I'm here for it! It seems like this format, with all the things included inside of daily boxes, really helps the creator to stay organized and on top of all the daily tasks.
Another beautiful weekly spread with florals. You can see how the page takes a completely different look depending on how you draw your flowers. This one has watercolor flowers without any black outline, which look so colorful!
You know that with your weekly spreads, you can play around with what you add and how you structure it. Here is an example of having larger daily boxes and including more information in each box, rather than creating separate sections for each type of information.
