I definitely often find that when I have a cute page that I like, I end up using it more, and the more you use your habit tracker, the more it will help you.
We will look into several different trackers from plenty of talented creators, but I want to make something clear. First and foremost, in your habit tracker, it’s important to have it easy to use and clear. Stationery Recommendations
Before we dive into the trackers, I want to take a second and mention some supplies that I think you’ll love using for your trackers, as well as any other Bullet Journal pages.
So here are a few of my recommendations:
- Fineliners. These are the blood of your Bullet Journal pages, and I recommend trying Sakura Pigma Micron. They also come in a set with different nib sizes so you get a wider variety of line thicknesses.
- Markers. If you’re obsessed with color like I am, chances are you’ll want to add color to your journal pages as well. Your choice of markers will depend on the colors you prefer, but my top recommendations are Crayola Super Tips, which can also be used for brush lettering, and Zebra Mildliners.
- Brush pens. Something to add brush lettering or maybe even color to your pages! I recommend Tombow Fudenosuke for a small brush tip and Tombow Dual Brush for a larger brush tip.
- Washi tape. I love washi tape and how it allows you to easily decorate your Bullet Journal pages in no time at all. Thankfully, there are washi tapes with all types of colors and patterns, so you can find something that fits our aesthetics.
Now that all the supplies are ready, let’s look at these layouts and find you one to recreate in your Bullet Journal.
Bullet Journal Habit Tracker Layout Ideas
In this list I gathered habit trackers from different creators, so you get a variety of different formats as well as different decoration styles.
And of course, if you want more, there is always more - check the links at the end of this blog post.
Let's dive in!
This amazing habit tracker is really a master list. The creator includes several different tracker types, and I love how well-organised it all is. The graphs also add a visual effect, making it easier to understand.
This habit tracker is more on the creative side, with the idea of having a doodle for each day of the month. And every day you color in elements of the doodle that coinside with the habit you're tracking.
I'll be honest here - it's a fun page to create, but the format is not the easiest to get right away, and I probably won't be using this format that often.
This format of habit tracker is probably the most convenient - you have a little calendar for each habit, and it gives you a good look at how you're doing with the habits. I also find it pretty useful to have your mood tracker right there next to the habit tracker, that way you can see correlations between these two things and how it affects your life.
I love circle elements and I always think they look extra stunning. This tracker is a proof of that; it looks stunning and it's so creative to fit the monthly theme.
This is not my favorite format because I don't like moving my planner, but it is a very convenient format when you have a lot of habits to track - you can see clearly how you're doing, and it all fits on one page.
This was created in a Nuuna journal, which is actually a bit bigger than the A5 usual size and has a smaller dot grid, so I could actually put the entire month in one line. I love this format because it's then easy to see how I did with my habits on any given day.
This is not a usual format that you see, but I think it's an interesting approach. A Dutch door helps you have your habit tracker right there, while also allowing you to see other important parts of your monthly setup.
A fun way to experiment with your pages is to add different colored paper. This creator used a large piece of Kraft paper, and it created such a unique feel to these habit trackers.
And if you wonder, the best white pen to use in situations like these is definitely Sakura Gelly Roll.
Here is another circle habit tracker. This one has a bit simpler design, but I absolutely love how stylish it looks and the cute little doodles the creator added to the middle.
Here is another example of a big one-page habit tracker. It's interesting how the creator added several different formats to this page, making it a bit more fun and creative.
The vertical habit tracker is a very useful format, as it allows you to track a lot of habits! And you have so much extra space to add any decorations, doodles, or a quote that will help you stay motivated.
The format with mini calendars is probably my favorite one. With my habit trackers, I like seeing the days of the week, since it allows me to see if there is a correlation between days of the week and how well I'm doing with my habits.
Aesthetic & Functional Habit Tracker Spread Ideas
Your habit tracker can definitely be a space for you to express your creativity. These two pages provide plenty of space to explore, and the creator used it all to create that extra aesthetic design.
An interesting idea to add a bit more color and decoration to a functional layout is by creating a creative header. Those bright colors and beautiful font really help make this page a bit more exciting.
This habit tracker is beautiful and I love how many habits can be fit here. I must say, if you use this format for a month with 31 days, it will look a bit uneven with one extra square for each habit, but it's up to you to see if this would bother you or not.
And if you need fewer habits, you can simply cut them out and use the space to add some more decorations.
