Creating a cover page for your Bullet Journal is like crafting a personalized welcome mat for each month. It’s a small but mighty space where you can channel your creativity and set the mood for the days ahead.
A cover page reflects your personality and interests, whether you’re into dreamy doodles, bold typography, or delicate watercolors. It’s your chance to experiment with different styles and colors without worrying about the functionality.
Beyond the artistic flair, cover pages serve a practical purpose too. They act as visual dividers that neatly segment your journal into months, making it easier to flip through past entries and find what you need.
Instead of endless pages of notes and lists, you have a clear start and end for each month, which can make your journaling experience more organized.
Having a unique cover page each month also adds a layer of excitement and anticipation to your journaling routine. I know if I create a charming theme and cover page for the month, I end up using my notebook more just because I want to see the adorable spread more often.

Stationery Recommendations
Before we dive into the cover pages, however, let me leave you with a few recommendations for stationery that can help you create the most adorable Bullet Journal pages.
Here are some of my recommendations:
- Fineliners. They are great for drawing, creating your pages, adding lettering, and more. My favorites are Sakura Pigma Micron, and the set comes with pens of different nib sizes to add variety to your line thickness.
- Markers. If you want to add some color to your pages, markers are your best friends. There are plenty out there; I really like Tombow Twin Tone markers for their colors. The best way for me to create something cute is to use pastel colors, so be sure to check the pastel set of Tombow Dual Brush pens. I also often recommend Crayola Super Tips, since they come in many colors and are pretty affordable.
- Brush Pens. For adding some brush lettering to your pages, you’ll need some brush pens. I recommend Tombow Fudenosuke since they are easy to control and work great for drawing as well.
- Washi Tape. If you want an easy way to decorate your Bullet Journal pages, washi tapes are the way to go! There are so many different designs and different colors; you’ll definitely be able to find something that fits your style.
- Stickers. I think stickers are a great way to easily decorate your Bullet Journal and there are so many beautiful and adorable designs out there! You can start by checking out the ClumsyCutieCo shop.
Now that you have all your stationery ready, time to get comfortable in your home office, or maybe on the couch, and start getting inspired by these cover pages.
Cute Cover Page Ideas
There are many different ways to create something cute, and each of these creators has its own approach. There are many different styles in this blog post, so you can see and choose the ones that speak to you the most.
Pick the elements and techniques you love and create your own unique take on a cute Bullet Journal cover page.
Let's dive in.
Starting strong with what is probably my favorite artist, especially when it comes to cute Bullet Journal ages. It's the combination of style and the roundness of all her illustrations that really make the page extra adorable.
I love his cover page; Tiny ice creams look super cute. But, I think the true cuteness of the spread is in the beautiful round letters for the month the creator used.
I'm not sure if you agree, but I think this whole theme, including the cover page, came out super cute! It definitely was one of my favorite pages to create.
Any month can be cute, even if you're doing a spooky Halloween theme. Just making things more round and using softer colors will already make it seem less threatening and more adorable.
Butterflies are generally really cute, I think, and this is a great example of how you can creatively add one to your cover page. I love that you can play around with the colors and patterns you use to create a completely different look.
This cover page has it all for being called the cutest one ever! The colors are soft and perfect for that cuteness factor, and the little flowers inside the machine (could they be little plushies) have the most adorable faces!
I'm not much into camping, but this little camper van looks so adorable that I feel like I want to give it a try.
I also like that the creator added that potted plant in front of the camper, as if the people inside want to make the area around them extra pretty.
I think this cover page is pretty cute, with the coffee cup having the expression like it can't really hold on anymore with all the hot coffee inside.
Adding kawaii characters to your cover page, like this cute frog and fish, is really a great way to add cuteness to the layout. I also really like the lines the creator uses, it's never one line but a lot of smaller lines and dots. It's a very unique and interesting effect.
My opinion is that everything pink is automatically cute, would you agree with that statement? Either way, I don't think we'll have a lot of arguments about how adorable this particular cover page is.
You know what? what's the secret of tuning any theme into a cute one? Make your doodles smaller and more rounded! I bet you wouldn't expect a travel theme to be cute, and yet this cover page is undoubtedly adorable!
This cover page is beautiful, and because the creator used acrylic paints, there are no black lines, which creates a pretty different look to it. I think with the rounded letters and the beautiful colors, it looks super cute.
Who would've thought that laptop windows could look cute, and yet this creator made them absolutely adorable! This is an amazing example,e of how you can spin anything to be a theme in your Bullet Journal.
I love the little details here like the window with the name of the month is called "cover page.jpg."
