Stationery Recommendations
Now, before we dive into inspirations for fall-inspired themes, let’s have a quick chat about stationery and some fun supplies that will make your monthly setups more fun and enjoyable.
Here are my favorites, especially for fall themes:
- Sakura Pigma Micron – a great fineliner is a must-have for any Bullet Journal spread, and these are some of the best for sure!
- Tombow Dual Brush Pens – they have a lot of beautiful colors, including different shades of orange and other Fall beauties. Plus, they are great for adding color and brush lettering!
- Washi Tape – there are many wonderful washi tapes out there, and you can definitely find some that would fit our aesthetics, but I think these ones are something special and always add style to Fall-themed pages.
- Tombow Fude Pens – brush lettering adds style and character to any Bullet Journal spread, and I think it would be amazing for Fall-themed pages as well.
Ok, now that we have all the supplies at the ready and you’re inspired, let’s dive in and find you an incredible theme to explore this autumn.
Fall September Bullet Journal Themes
There is so much to explore here, and of course, every creator has their own incredible style to get inspired by. That's why, in this post, I've gathered ideas from different creators, allowing you to see various approaches to decorating your fall theme.
But to keep it concise, here you'll see 13 ideas, and you can check the end of the post for more inspiration.
Let's start with this beautiful and simple layout with a classic approach for the fall theme. I love the little leaves, I think once you turn your doodles small, it adds a special cuteness to them.
I think any woodland animals are a perfect fall theme, even when they look more like spirits than just a fox. I love that here the creator added a few fall leaves in the incredible metallic colors.
I think anything that creates a cozy feeling would work perfectly for fall, especially when the creator uses so much kraft paper. I especially like all the extra paper and details that make this look like a page in a scrapbook.
September is a prime month for mushroom picking, so this is actually a perfect theme to explore this month. I love the mushroom theme because you can play around so much with all the colors and shapes.
Fall is, in general, a harvest season, so a farm theme like this one is perfect. I also love how the creator incorporated vivid fall colors into all the elements on this cover page.
Just because you choose leaves as a theme for Fall doesn't mean you have to get all bright and colorful. If you like a more subtle, minimalist approach, it can also be a separate theme idea.
I think books are a very fall theme, since it's the back-to-school season, plus there is nothing cozier than reading a book while sipping on your pumpkin-spiced latte. Plus, for this monthly setup, I went with a fitting color combo - red, orange, and yellow.
Following the same harvest idea, here is another inspiration for you - apples. And as a bonus to add variety to this theme, you can add different things you can make from apples, like an apple pie you see on this cover page.
I don't know how to express this, but for me, this theme screams fall. Maybe it's the kraft paper or the orange shades the creator used for the florals. Let me know in the comments if you think this idea should be on this list.
There is no argument that Gilmore Girls is the show to watch during the fall, and for all its fans, this can be a great inspiration for a theme you might want to try.
This is an amazing idea if you want something stylish and colorful, but don't have too much time to spend on the setup. Just use some seasonal colors to create patterns, and your pages will look very decorated and elaborate.
Fall is the best time to be in the forest; you get all the mushrooms and berries, and the air is crisp and fresh. There, I think it's a perfect theme idea for September, and I 'm absolutely in love with this creator's doodling style.
Last but not least is probably the most fall-themed you can think of - coffee. Because once September comes, aren't we all getting obsessed with those pumpkin-spiced lattes and cozy afternoons with a good book?
