Stationery Recommendations
Before we look into these galaxy-themed pages, let’s talk about stationery that will be useful for you to actually use this theme in your Bullet Journal.
Of course, you can use anything you want, and the supplies you use will depend on the way you want to approach this theme. But here are a few of my favorite recommendations:
- Fineliners. These are the basis of your every Bullet Journal page, perfect f or setting up pages and adding decorations and doodles to it. My top pick is Sakura Pigma Micron, and that set comes with pens of different nib sizes, so you can get a wider variety of your line thickness.
- Markers. If you decide to add some color, you’ll need markers. There is a Galaxy theme set of Tombow Dual Brush pens that are perfect for that. Or, for a more budget option, try Crayola Super Tips, which come in so many colors that you can create anything you want with them.
- Brush pens. If you like brush lettering, you might want to get some brush pens to add to your Bullet Journal pages. I recommend getting Tombow Fudenosuke brush pens. They have smaller tips, so you can create many different projects with them. They are amazing and easy to use, even for beginners.
- Washi tapes. These are so easy to use to add uninteresting accents and decorations to your Bullet Journal pages. There are plenty of designs available; take a look at these holographic silver washi tapes for a stylish and aesthetic look, or look at these cosmic cuties washi tapes for something more colorful and doodly.
- Helix circle maker. There are a lot of circle elements when it comes to a galaxy theme, so you’ll definitely find this ruler super helpful! But apart from galaxy theme, this one will help you also create a bunch of other circular elements n your Bulelt Journal, like circle trackers.
There are many more amazing supplies I can keep on listing, but I think we have enough for now. Let’s finally look at the pages and see how you can put these supplies together into beautiful Bullet Journal pages.
Galaxy Themed Bullet Journal Inspirations
I love this theme because there are so many ways to approach it and to present the galaxy on your Bullet Journal pages.
That's why here I gathered spreads from all the different creators, each bringing their style. So you can see all the different approaches you can take and poick elements that you love to create your own unique take on the theme.
Let's dive in!
This monthly log is already so unique in its structure! But it's also a wonderful example of a galaxy theme, with all the colorful planets the creator included here.
Speaking of colors, here is another approach where the creator went for pastel colors. I love this color combination and the cute doodles.
This is a wonderful example that your journal can be a reflection of your style, so you can choose any colors you want, even if it's not something that is traditionally associated with the theme.
Galaxy is something that is definitely easy to create with watercolors; you can mix the colors and add swirls that surely will look a lot like a real thing. I love that here, the creator also added little white dots to signify the stars.
The creator went very free with this weekly spread, so I don't even know if it's one weekly or two. But this is just the way life and real planning goes.
I love the colors they used for the planets and how there are those little pieces of washi tape to fill out any blank space.
Usually, when you say space and galaxy, you probably think of planets and stars. But I thought aliens would fit this theme as well.
So, I had to include this incredible cover page that plays in this funny tripe of cow abductions!
Here is another beautiful galaxy-themed weekly spread, and the creator went for a big illustration in the middle of the page approach
I think it looks beautiful, and I love the white-on-black headers for days of the week, really add to the space theme of the layout.
A galaxy can also be something as simple as a mix of stars in the skies, so here is an example of how to approach this theme in a more effortless way.
A fun thing you can do with a Galaxy theme is to mix it up with something else. For example, this cover page is a mix of galaxy and coffee, so you get a very creative idea of a galaxy inside your coffee cup.
Galaxy is also about space travel, and what is more space than the first doggie who heroically entered space? This is a fantastic illustration of a very sad story about the little hero, but it's also an example of how much you can create with just black and white.
Here is one more approach to the galaxy theme by using stickers, washi tapes, illustrations, and random glittery elements. It's almost like a page in a scrapbook.
One more exmaple of how you can create. a theme by using just one black pen. In this spread, it almost feels like the themed decorations were added to each daily box later after it was already used to plan the day.
This is an interesting approach to adding creativity to your pages but not overdoing it and allowing you to decorate a little bit every day.
This spread looks pretty dark, but I'm sure once the colors are filled in for the moods every day, it will be so beautiful and bright, beaming with the color and magic of the open space.
This cover page doesn't just show you how easy it can be to create a galaxy theme in your Bullet Journal. It's also a great example of using any notebook you have for your planning. It doesn't have to be an expensive dot grid journal; you can simply use a lined spiral-bound notebook, as long as you use it for planning and achieving your goals while being creative.
Here is another weekly log with a big illustration in the middle. I love that the creator used watercolor and those soft peach tones somehow, it looks so calming to me.
One more example of a watercolor-based galaxy design, and it really allows you to play so much with the colors you want your galaxy to have.
Again, the creator used a white gel pen to add details, and I kind of like that there are some florals at the bottom; it really makes it look very different like you're on Earth dreaming of space adventures.
And if you are looking for a good recommendation, try Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pens.
Here is a different approach to the theme with more rich and deep colors, and as you can see, there are no black outlines for the doodles. This is an easy effect to achieve with paint pens, and I love how much the planets stand out on top of the darker background.
This is such a cute galaxy-themed spread; I love how the creator contrasted the watercolor galaxy background with black and white planets. I also really like that the galaxy drawing is made in softer pinky colors.
If we include space travel under the term "galaxy theme," you get to play around with different astronaut doodles! I like how this one has the entire galaxy reflected in the visor.
This spread is absolutely phenomenal! The font and header are beautiful, and it's such a fantastic idea to add a planet for every day of the month!
And speaking of astronauts, how gorgeous is this spread! And just like in one of the previous cover pages, I love the way the black and white astronaut contrasts with a beautiful galaxy background.
Last but not least is this adorable weekly spread. I must say I love the black background! I wonder if the creator used black color or actually cut out some black paper to create it,
