Stationery Recommendations
Before looking at some inspirations, let’s look at a few supplies that I’m sure you enjoy using while creating your green Bullet Journal theme.
Here are some of my favorite supplies that I’m sure you’ll love as well:
- Fineliners. Black fineliners are the bread and butter of my journal, and I can’t recommend them enough. Smooth, with black ink, waterproof, and usually available with different tip sizes! Some of my favorites are Faber Castell Pitt Artist and Sakura Pigma Micron.
- Markers. There are so many amazing markers to add color to your journal! My current favorites are Crayola Super Tips, since they come in many colors and plenty of shades of green. Some other options I love are Tombow Dual Brush Pens which are also available in many colors and can be used for brush lettering as well.
- Washi tape. This is not something I use often, but at some point, I started getting into it, and it’s amazing how easily washi tape can add a creative spark to your page with no fuzz at all. For washi tape check Washi Tape Shop, they have all kids of sizes and designs available!
Ok, enough with stationery talk; let’s move to the main topic of this post and see all the different and exciting ways you can add the color green to your Bullet Journal.
Stunning Green Bullet Journal Ideas
There are so many ideas and creative approaches to bringing the color green to your Bullet Journal pages. And even the same idea will look different depending on the creator's chosen decorating style.
In this post, I chose 17 pages from different creators, so you get not only a variety of ideas but also many different styles and aesthetics to choose from.
I'm sure you'll be able to find on each page some elements and ideas that you like and use them. to create something uniquely yours.
Let's dive in.
We are starting this list strong with this beautiful monthly log. Of course, green is the color that is most closely associated with nature, so be prepared for many nature themes.
This is an example of a tree idea, and I absolutely love the beautiful colors the creator chose for these. Even with one simple tree doodle, you can get so many different looks if you just play around with the colors you choose.
Olive Branch Bullet Journal Habit Tracker
Olive is a beautiful shade of green, so why not create an entire monthly setup around the color and the doodle? I love that the creator used gold to really make this tracker shine.
Here is a very creative weekly spread. The idea of turning your daily boxes into leaves really makes it stand out. And now I wonder if the shadow around the two big leaves is drawn or if there are actually secret sections hidden there.
Sometimes, if you want to bring a certain color to your Bullet Journal, all you really need is just to add splashes of that color. Putting them together in a wreath is definitely a fun and creative addition.
Do you also associate coffee closely with green color? I think it's the calmness of the color that really helps create that cozy atmosphere in coffee shops. or it just might be a Starbucks.
Either way, I love the interesting approach the creator took with this monthly log and how beautiful all the shades of green are here.
If you don't really have that many shades of green pens available, you can always use scraps of colorful paper or cutouts from journals and magazines to add the correct vibe.
I don't know if this is what this creator did with these beautiful green illustrations, but that is what I thought of when seeing it.
For me, the place with the most vibrant shades of green is tropical forests. They also have so many different leaves and shapes.
So, for my take on a green theme, I simply went with different tropical leaves. It's a pretty simple and yet very colorful theme.
Basically, if you're looking for some green ideas, you can simply think of anything green and use that as a basis. Here is a lovely example of the creator using avocados as the theme for this whole layout. I also really love how well green fits with the kraft paper.
Of course, we can't really talk about green Bullet Journal ideas without mentioning some kind of floral theme. Flowers are a beautiful theme for every season, and if you want to make it a bit more specific, you can simply choose the seasonal flowers.
Macha is an ultimate green idea for you because there are so many different things that can be macha flavored and green! This beautiful habit tracker is a wonderful example of that.
If you don't feel like you want to go deep into decorating and adding illustrations to your Bullet Journal, you can always add the color with little details, like the creator did on this weekly layout.
Here is one more example of using olives as an idea for adding more green to the pages. And this time, the creator actually used watercolor.
Again, notice how well green goes with brown!
There are plenty of fun drinks and beverages that are green colored, so you definitely can use it as an idea on how to add more green to your layouts. I love that this creator also added a quote in the same color scheme to fit the entire monthly theme.
Houseplants, cacti, and succulents are super fun and easy to doodle and can make a fantastic theme for bringing more green to your Bullet Journal pages. This weekly spread is a beautiful example of just that.
Have you ever thought of using black pages for your planning? As you can see, they can really make it all look different and the colors pop extra against a black background, especially green.
Something about this layout really captured my imagination. I think it reminds me of the old-school Japanese Nintendo games. Either way, it's a beautiful idea for this list.
Last but not least is this beautiful weekly spread. As you can see, the creator used just one very simple doodle but used different shades of green and played with the sizes to add variety.
