Green is such a versatile color—don’t you think? It has this amazing ability to fit just about any time of the year. From the soft, muted tones of winter pine to the vibrant, blooming shades of spring, green feels timeless yet always fresh.
Speaking of spring, there’s something magical about how green truly comes alive during that season. After months of bare branches and frosty mornings, those first pops of color are like a gentle promise of growth and renewal. It’s a perfect time to reflect that energy in your Bullet Journal!
Of course, we can’t talk about green without nodding to Saint Patrick’s Day. It’s a day when shamrocks and emerald hues take center stage, making it a fun source of inspiration all on its own.
But green doesn’t stop there—it’s a color that can mean so many things to different people. Maybe for you, it’s all about peaceful moments in nature or the vitality of fresh beginnings. Or perhaps it’s simply a color that makes you happy whenever you see it on the page.
Whatever green represents to you, the good news is that it offers endless opportunities for creative Bullet Journal themes.
And in this post, I’m here to share tons of inspirations and ideas that celebrate all the beauty and energy this color brings. From soft sage spreads to bold botanical vibes—it’s time to make your BuJo thrive in green!

Stationery Recommendations
Before looking at some inspirations, let’s look at a few supplies that I’m sure you enjoy using while creating your green Bullet Journal theme.
Here are some of my favorite supplies that I’m sure you’ll love as well:
- Fineliners. Black fineliners are the bread and butter of my journal and I can’t recommend them enough. Smooth, with very black ink, waterproof, and usually available with different tip sizes! Some of my favorites are Faber Castell Pitt Artist and Sakura Pigma Micron.
- Markers. There are so many amazing markers to add color to your journal! My current favorites are Crayola Super Tips, since they come in many colors and plenty of shades of green. Some other options I love are Tombow Dual Brush Pens which are also available in many colors and can be used for brush lettering as well.
- Washi tape. This is not something I use often, but at some point, I started getting into it, and it’s amazing how easily washi tape can add a creative spark to your page with no fuzz at all. For washi tape check Washi Tape Shop, they have all kids of sizes and designs available!
Ok, enough with stationery talk; let’s move to the main topic of this post and see all the different takes on the green theme for your Bullet Journal.
Bullet Journal Green Theme Inspirations
We already talked about all the different themes you can create around the color green, so now, let's look at the actual pages. There are many ways to approach even the same theme, and in this list, you'll find inspiration from different creators, each having a different style and aesthetics.
I'm sure you'll find here something that will spark your imagination. So, let's dive in!
Green is, first and foremost, at least for me, about nature, so let's start this lineup with a tree theme. Since this is a December setup, the creator chose pine trees, which is perfect for the month.
And I love how even with pretty simple triangle shapes of the trees, they still look so different and interesting because of the different colors and patterns used inside.
I love the idea of using green color in fashion for a theme. I'm not that good at drawing clothes myself, but this creator did an amazing job! And the addons of green washi tape are fitting and look very stylish.
Houseplants are a fantastic theme to explore all the shades of green! I love the clean approach this creator took and the green accents they added to the page.
Sometimes, you don't even need a special theme; you can just add color to your pages in wreaths. But here it seems to me I almost see little clovers, do you?
This green is much darker, but it still fits this list, and it has a similar nature theme. I also really love the gold accents and how well they look together with the kraft paper and the green leaves.
And if you're wondering, the creator used this Sakura Gelly Roll gold gel pen; they are some of the best ones out there, and I'd definitely recommend them!
If you want to do with a specific color for them, you can just collect all the elements of this color that you have and put them together. Just because they have the same color scheme will be enough to make it look unified.
Look at this fantastic monthly log with different stickers, washi tapes, and other elements, all definitely from different sets but still on theme with the color and looking stunning together.
I love how the creator made the letters of the month hand like a laundry in the garden! They didn't have to make all the elements on the page green-colored, but it definitely fit the theme! And it's a fun way to finally take out and use all the different shades of green markers you have.
Anything nature-themed would work perfectly for this color. This, I think, is a tangerine tree theme, and as you can see, the green of leaves works perfectly with the oranges of the fruits.
One more page for December, and as you can see, the creator used Christmas tree decorations in green to show the color. You wouldn't put green decorations on a green tree, but you can definitely add them to your Bullet Journal pages!
We have been talking about nature, but we haven't really touched upon tropical forests. They have their own incredible set of green colors and really fun and creative leaf designs. This is the theme I chose for one of my August setups.
Bamboo is a fantastic theme! It's a pretty easy plant to doodle, but you can add a lot of dimension to it, and there are many fun extra elements you can create, like little pandas eating their bamboo.
You wouldn't think camping is such a green theme, but look at this cover page. You're in nature, and the color you see the most is green!
I also really love how the green on this page contrasts so well with the orange of the flames.
If you just want to add squares of color to your theme, nothing stops you. And it can actually look absolutely stunning, just look at this amazing cover page!
I love this creator and their beautiful style. They made mushrooms look so cute, even in green color, which I believe is not a traditional color scheme for them.
Pretty much anything green can be a good theme for this concept. Like this creator who brought their love for Macha to their Bulelt Journal and created this incredible cover page.
