Plan With Me: April 2025 Bullet Journal Setup
My April 2025 Bullet Journal setup is finally here, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you! And this time, I’m even done with my setup before the month begins, so I’m proud of myself.
With spring in full swing, I wanted to create something bright and colorful, but at the same time, I didn’t have much time for my setup, so it had to be simple and quick.
So this is a pretty fun and yet simple setup, and I also added an extra page this month, making me extra excited to start using all these layouts! I’m already over the March setup haha
Let’s dive in. I hope you feel inspired by my setup to create your own fun layouts and themes.

Even though I’ve been thinking about my April setup for weeks, by the time I sat down to design it (on March 30th), I had no idea what this was going to be. The only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to go back to my beautiful Zebra Midlliner colors.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, I just went for a photography theme. As I was drawing it, it changed from variations of photography, or just polaroids, or even travel. But in the end, it was photography, even though you might still see the nods to the other ideas in the setup.
Before we look at the theme itself and all the pages, let’s have a quick rundown of all the supplies I used, in case you want to recreate something similar in your journal.

Stationery Used
The funny thing I’m realising lately is that even though I am thinking of rebuilding my stationery collection and getting more different pens and markers, I still always use the Zebra Mildliners, so I’m not sure I really need anything other than them.
But this is just a fun thing I realised lately, let’s now look into the supplies that I actually used for this setup and I absolutely love:
- Nuuna journal. I know they don’t have the thickest paper, but I really love the smaller dot grid and slightly bigger pages. Also, my last Nuuna journal lasted me for a year and a half, so I’m pretty excited about that.
- Sakura Pigma Micron and Unipin fineliners. I literally have 5 fineliners in my collection right now, 4 of which are 03 size and one is 003. And that’s what I used. 03 is my favorite size for pretty much everything, and I used 003 for smaller details and things I didn’t want to stand out.
- Zebra Mildliners. Most of the colors you see on 90% of my pages are Zebra Mildliners.
- Tombow Fudenosuke – this is my only black brush pen, and this time, I used it just to color elements that have a lot of black in it.
I should’ve used my Helix Circle Maker for all the circle elements, but you know I have an aversion to all the rulers, so I decided I’d freehand all of these things.
I used all these supplies and a ruler for this setup.
Ok, that’s it, now let’s look at the April setup, I’m excited for you to see and hear your opinions.
April Bullet Journal Setup
As much as I wanted to make this a simple theme, it really went through a lot of changes and additions. But I had fun creating it, and this is what’s important.
I drew it all to be colorful, but in the end, I went with a concept of adding color only to the Polaroid pictures, which I think gives it a better look. But let me know what you think in the comments!
Cover Page
I must admit I have been struggling a bit with the cover pages. The larger Nuuna journal pages provide a lot of canvas, and this year they look intimidating to me.
I didn’t feel like creating a whole page of doodles, as much as I wanted to, so I just went for a simple header and that’s it.
In the end, I think it came out looking cute, even though some of the lines were very wonky, but that’s my shaky hands for you haha
Monthly Log
Every month this year, I’ve had a big calendar monthly log, but this month, I felt like I wanted to try something a bit different.
Truth be told, this is not the page I use that often, so I decided I might as well try a different style, and in the end, I think I really like the way it came out.
This is where you can see little remnants of the travel idea for this theme that I had in Japanese doodles on the Polaroid picture here.
Habit Tracker
As you can see, I went with a bit of a cutout idea for the header. In the middle of drawing, I realised that the word tracker work fit, so I just reshaped it.
I always say that you can fix those kinds of mistakes if you use a pencil first, which is what I did. But I was too lazy to redo everything, so I took a different approach.
I also want to mention that I now see that my camera doodles don’t have that many details since I was originally thinking of adding more details as I added color.
So now I’m thinking maybe I’ll go over the camera doodles again to add some more details and elements. This is a great thing about journaling – you can come back and fix things as you go.
Mood Tracker
An idea for the mood tracker was very simple to create – just little polaroids that would be covered in color to symbolise the mood.
Even though I don’t think I’ll be doing this, this idea is also really easy if you want to use several different moods for the day – you can just separate the photo into several different parts to add different colors.
But I don’t do things that way, I tend to choose one color for the whole day and categorise it from good to bad instead of by different particular moods.
If you want to get extra with this layout, you can also create little illustrations inside the little polaroids! You can add some illustrations right away or add as you go.
It must be something detailed or maybe simple, like a smiley face.
Gratitude Log
I actually have a separate journal for gratitude journaling and other types of entries, but I’m realizing now that I do not use it that often because sitting down and journaling are time commitments.
So this month I’m bringing back a gratitude log, which takes only a minute and has plenty of amazing benefits.
Of course, a gratitude log is something that is not much to look at since you have to have a lot of blank space, but I still can share at least the header.
I realised that my header style this month doesn’t fit for long words, so I had to get creative with how I name my pages.
Weekly Spread
Weekly spreads are obviously a must when it comes to a monthly setup, but since I set them up as I go, I can not share only one weekly spread.
The daily boxes look pretty clean, actually, but I think there’s enough space for my to-do list. The week will show if I was right or not.
This camera also feels very empty, so I might end up adding some more details to the camera doodle. Considering I was finishing up ty this at around 1 am, I must admit I haven’t really put much thought into the details.
But there you go. These are all my pages for the April setup, and I think I really like this theme. It’s definitely a good mix of doodles and colors, and I’m very excited to start using it.
