Sleep is one of the most important things for your health, be it physical or mental, and yet we spend so little time actually taking care of our sleep habits.
Keeping a sleep log can transform how you approach rest and wellness. By tracking your sleep patterns, you gain valuable insights into how well you’re sleeping, how often you wake during the night, and when you get the most restful hours.
All this information will help you understand your sleeping challenges and needs and end up with better sleep quality and enough hours to get a good rest.
Finally, tracking encourages accountability and gives you a sense of accomplishment as you notice positive trends like longer deep sleep or earlier bedtimes.

Stationery Recommendations
Let’s have a very quick chat about stationery, which will help you create beautiful sleep log pages and make the process that much more fun.
Here are some of my favorites:
- Fineliners. These are the basics for every Bullet Journal page, perfect for drawing and doodling. I recommend Sakura Pigma Micron, which also comes in a set with different nib sizes, allowing you a variety of line thicknesses.
- Markers. If you want to add color to your pages, you’ll need some markers. Your choice will depend on what colors you like. My top choices are Zebra Mildliners and Tombow Twin Tone.
- Brush pens. To add beautiful brush lettering to your weekly spreads, you need a good set of brush pens. I recommend Tombow Fudensuke since they are smaller tips and pretty easy to master. If you’re looking for a larger brush pen and something with tons of colors, you can’t go wrong with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
Now that you have all the supplies ready, let’s look at these sleep log Bullet Journal ideas.
Sleep Log Bullet Journal Ideas
There are quite a few different formats for a sleep tracker, and of course, each creator brings their own style and aesthetics to this layout.
In this list, I gathered 15 sleep log pages by different creators so you can see a variety of styles and formats and definitely find something to inspire your own sleep tracker.
Starting with this, which I think is the most popular format. In this exact one, the creator is tracking from what time till what time they slept, but also each entry has a total amount of hours slept. Very useful information!
For my own sleep tracker, I went with just tracking how many hours I slept, but as you can see, I also added a column to add the time I went to sleep, since this is usually a problem for me.
Sleep log works very well if you add a lot of details to it, or maybe even together with other trackers. As you can see here, the creator also added things like sleep quality and what other activities they did during that day.
I love this one for several reasons. First of all, the header letters are very beautiful! Secondly, the creator used my favorite pens for adding color.
Here is another option for a detailed sleep tracker. This time, there is so much information, like the last action before sleep or the last food before going to bed. This is definitely a massive help when trying to build habits and routines for the best sleep ever.
This whole set of trackers is basically a dashboard for health-related trackers, helping see correlations and patterns between sleep and food, physical activity, and hydration.
I love any circle elements, I think they always look great and extra stylish. This is not just a circle tracker, but a circle graph! It might not be the most straightforward way to see the sleep patterns, but it definitely looks amazing!
This sleep tracker really has something interesting to it - a way to track your energy levels. Sleep has the most to do with your energy levels, so I think it's very useful to see what sleep habits give you the most energy for the day.
I love how the creator really subtly added rose illustrations to this layout. Plus, I find it useful to know not only dates but also days of the week; there might be an interesting change in sleep patterns depending on the day of the week you'd want to see.
Here is a fun idea on how you can design a sleeping tracker around whatever theme you're currently having in your monthly setup. I also want to mention how incredible the handwriting here is!
But also remember that you can choose whatever style you want for your sleep log; if you want to go minimalist with it, it's absolutely fine! This sleep log is a great example of that simple style, and I love that here you have a sleep tracker together with your mood one, so you can get a good idea of how these might be connected.
This is a beautiful doodly and colorful sleep log, so I definitely wanted to add it to this list. But moreover, the creator used washi tape to track the sleep rather than using markers. I think it's a fun and interesting way to put your waste tape to good use.
Another beautiful and aesthetic sleep tracker, and I like that the creator added a little column for rating your sleep quality.
This sleep log is just a little part of a set of trackers that track lifestyle habits and moods. This one set of trackers can help you get such a clear outline of your health and collect your sleep data for others.
Last but not least is this adorable little sleep tracker. It definitely took the creator a lot of time to write all these numbers, but I think it's worth it, and it's pretty helpful.
