Now that you know all the best places to add a few more washi tape rolls to your collection, let’s look at how to actually use washi tape in your Bullet Journal.

Things To Do With Washi Tape In Your Bullet Journal

There are probably many more different ways to use washi tape, but let’s not get too overwhelmed and keep it to these seven ideas in this blog post.

I’m sure they will inspire you to come up with something else that would help you with your planning.

So, here it is!

Washi Tape Tabs

Starting with my favorite way ro use washi tape – to create tabs!

This is a great way to always have the essential pages marked so they are easily accessible. It’s great if you don’t use the index or don’t want to bother adding numbers to all your pages.

Plus, with the variety of colors and patterns available, you can play around with how all your tabs look.

In this example, I added a tag for each cover page so I could easily find any monthly setup.

Washi Tape Headers

Using washi tape to add flair to your Bullet Journal is another interesting idea. You can either use special washi tape that already has the headers typed on it or use washi tape as a background and write with gel pen on top of it.

If you choose the latter, I’d recommend getting a darker type of washi tape and using a white gel pen to write on top of it.

Use To Create A Theme

Are you struggling to come up with a new theme for your upcoming monthly setup? Just use some washi tape! Simply using certain washi tapes on your pages can help you create a cohesive theme, so you need to come up with anything else.

Use it for headers, decorations, and dividers, and keep the washi tapes you use the same throughout the monthly setup, and you have yourself an amazing theme!

Create Frames

Another fun way to use washi tape in your Bullet Journal is to create frames. Whether it’s a frame around your photos or washi tape daily box, use it however you want.

It will help you add more color and creativity to your page in no time!

Add Extra Elements To Your Journal

Do you sometimes feel like you need some extra space on your pages? Or maybe you wanted to have a secret area that is a bit hidden on your spread?

This is all possible with washi tape! Just take a piece of paper and add it to your Bullet Journal page, you can even just use one piece of washi tape so it’s easy to fold and look behind it.

Use Washi Tape As Separators

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely hate using rulers. I don’t know why, but it stresses me out every time!

If you’re anything like me, using washi tape to create lines in your Bullet Journal might be exactly the hack for you. Or you could try this out just to add some color to your pages.

Fill Out Empty Spaces

Do you ever feel like you created a beautiful page, but there is just this random empty space that sits there mocking you? I definitely have this happen to me a lot! Especially on quote pages since I often miscalculated where the center of the page is.

My favorite hack for situations like this is just to use a ti of washi tape and make it look like it was always meant to be there as a decoration item.
