Stationery Recommendations
The world of stationery is wide and can be super confusing, especially if we’re talking about supplies used for your travel Bullet Journal.
So, before we dive into the pages, here are some stationery recommendations!
- A journal. You’ll need a journal for all your travel pages. You can use a usual journal, like my favorite Archer And Olive notebooks (use code MASHA10 for 10% OFF), or you can do something more like a refillable travel notebook.
- Sakura Pigma Fineliners – these are a staple for creating any Bullet Journal spread. Their black archival ink and many different nib sizes will allow you to create stunning and elaborate pages.
- Tombow Fude Brush Pen – These small tip brush pens are universal. You can create elaborate brush lettering and beautiful headers or just use them for drawing.
- Markers. You probably want to add some colors to your pages, and I recommend choosing a few of your favorite markers. For me, it’s absolutely Zebra Mildliners.
Now that you have all your supplies ready, it’s time to start planning! So, let’s dive into those pages.
Travel Page Ideas For Your Bullet Journal
The whole idea of a Bullet Journal is that anything can be a page to help you with whatever you need. So when it comes to travel, all you need to do is think of something you need help with, and it will be a page idea for you.
Here, I gathered 17 different pages from different creators, so you'll be able to get some ideas to use in your travel journey, as well as different styles and decoration ideas you might want to try.
Let's dive in!
Let's start with the easiest and probably most fun idea - a list of places you want to visit. And as you can see, it doesn't have to be a list, you can definitely go creative with it and illustrate each destination.
A packing list is a must-have for any trip because you definitely don't want to start your vacation from the realization that you forgot something important. I like sorting my packing list into different categories as well, that way, I get a better idea of what things I take with me and whether it's worth it or I should leave something at home.
Traveling is not a cheap hobby to have, even if you do budget traveling. So, having a savings tracker can help you be more mindful of your money so you can go and enjoy the trip you always wanted.
A fun idea is to journal about your trip [, or even do it while you're on the trip. A lot of little things get forgotten as time goes on, and journaling like this can help you remember all the joys you experience. Plus, you can get creative with it as well.
Knowing all the details of your flights and all the other transportation is so important! You never want to be late for something like that, especially when you travel and have the time really planned out. So a layout like this one can be a good place to store all the details for quick reference,
I'm not the type of person to plan a lot of things in advance when I travel. I like to go with the flow and see how I feel at the moment. But it's always useful to have a layout with some ideas of things I could look at, so when I need to decide, I have a quick page to reference and choose.
I think we often think that travel is all about those big international trips, or at least this is how I usually think. But there are plenty of small trips you can take, and a layout like this one is perfect to remind you that you can enjoy traveling without breaking the bank.
I love creating memory pages, and here is an example from a wonderful artist of their own take on a memory page about their vacation. I love how the decorations are all on the theme of the place they visited.
Here is another creative way to make an itinerary for your travels. After all, this is your chance to explore a whole new place; you don't want to get overwhelmed by everything and not see the things that interest you.
Photos are a great way to remember your travels, but how often do you actually look back on your phone album? A much better idea would be to print them out and put them on your special travel journal page.
Like this creator, you can create a page with pictures and a little envelope to store all the other photos.
I definitely wanted to include here a page with travel doodles, especially if they are so well crafted like these. They are fun to create and are pretty useful at decorating all your travel-related layouts.
Isn't it super fun to have a world map and mark all the places you've ever visited? It's definitely a fun and ambitious layout to create.
I love the idea of creating a big summary page for the trip, where you were, what you've seen, and so on. This layout is an inspiration for how you can make it in a more visual way if you wish.
If you are an artistic person, you might enjoy creating layouts like these during your travels, sketching the beautiful buildings and architecture you see around you in the new places.
When you travel, you will be spending money, and it might be a good idea to budget it and record your expenses so you're never left without any money at the most inconvenient time.
When you travel, you often get access to things and purchases you won't be able to get anywhere else, so it might be a good idea to make a list for yourself. That way, you won't stray away and buy a lot of useless things but will get something you'll love and cherish.
Food is a big part of your travel experiences, at least I think so. And here is a layout that gives you an idea of how you can creatively make a spread about your culinary adventures.
