Stationery Recommendation
Before we dibve into some back-top-school cover pages, let’s talk about stationery that I’m sure you’ll love using when creating this theme.
Of course, you can use anything you already have! But if you want something a bit extra, here are a few of my recommendations.
- Sakura Pigma Micron – a good set of fineliners is a blood of your journal, and this brand is amazing and has smooth black ink.
- Crayola Super Tips – this is a fantastic set of markers; they come in many different colors, and you can actually use them for brush lettering as well.
- Zebra Mildliners – these are the most school-themed highlighters; they also come in beautiful colors and have a marker tip. They are my go-to markers, especially for a “back to school” theme.
- Pilot Frixion Markers – one more set of amazing markers that come in beautiful colors. Plus, they are actually erasable!
- Letter Stamps – these add a very unique feel to your Bullet Journal pages and can be sure fun for a back-to-school theme. Plus, you can get 10% OFF with my code MASHA10.
I can talk about stationery forever, though, but this is not what this post is about. So, let’s move on and look at these inspirations.
Back To School Bullet Journal Cover Page Ideas
Even though the back-to-school theme seems pretty simple, there are still so many different ways to approach it and to create something unique.
Here are a few inspirations from different creators, each having their own spin on the theme. I'm sure they will inspire you to come up with your own unique approach to the theme.
Starting with my own take on a back-to-school theme. I loved it so much that originally, it was just supposed to be a cover page and just a few weekly spreads but it ended up being a full-on monthly setup.
It was pretty fun to doodle all the different stationery supplies, and this was actually my first time using my Pilot Frixion markers and I really love the soft colors they provided.
Here is a cover page that follows the same concept with random stationery doodles all over. But I love how using different colors and different fonts for the header makes it look so distinguished.
For me, this is definitely a back-to-school theme, considering that a panel like this is a great addition to your study desk at home.
Using different colors and contrasts is a great way to make your theme stand out. In this case, it's all about the contrast between the black background and the bright letters, creating a pretty unique effect.
Here is my other take on the back-to-school theme. I went for a more minimalist approach with black and white doodles and just a little bit of color.
I love the idea of combining a cover page with a quote page; I think it helps to create the mood for the entire monthly setup. And I love the very organized approach to stationery doodles in this spread.
This is such a perfect example of a back-to-school theme. These are almost exactly the pens I used in school, and I love how much detail the creator added to these drawings!
This is the school desk I always dreamt about and the home office setup I finally have now, hahaha. IU loves how many details the creator added to this illustration and, of course, the fact that the creator used my favorite Zebra Mildliners for color.
Do you want to do something ab it different for your back-to-school theme? Why not try adding a school bus? I love the creativity of this cover page!
A fun way to make your page look different is to keep it all in one color scheme. This is a perfect example - the creator went for pink and purple colors and absolutely crushed it!
Last but not least is this beautiful and colorful April cover page. I love the details the creator added to the doodle of a journal and the cute quote.
