There are a few supplies you’ll need, to create circle weekly spreads in your Bullet Journal, and I thought I’d share with you some of the tools you’ll find useful.
First of all, let’s talk about a few tools that will help you deal with the circle elements of the page:
- Helix Circle Maker. This is the cheapest and one of the best tools you can find for creating circle elements in your Bulelt Journal, including a circle weekly spread.
- Circle Stencils. If you’re using a lot of circle elements in your journal, something like this stencil would be super useful. It has measurements and decisions so you can easily use it to create circle trackers as well as the weekly spreads.
But of course, a weekly spread is still a page in your Bullet Journal, and you need some basic supplies for it as well.
You can definitely use anything you already have, but if you want to add something else to it, here are some of my favorite supplies:
- Fineliners. These are the basics for every Bullet Journal page, perfect for drawing and doodling. I recommend Sakura Pigma Micron, which also comes in a set with different nib sizes, allowing you a variety of line thicknesses.
- Markers. If you want to add color to your pages, you’ll need some markers. Your choice will depend on what colors you like. My top choices are Zebra Mildliners and Tombow Twin Tone.
- Brush pens. To add beautiful brush lettering to your weekly spreads, you need a good set of brush pens. I recommend Tombow Fudensuke since they are smaller tips and pretty easy to master. If you’re looking for a larger brush pen and soemthing with tons of colors, you can’t go wrong with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
With all your supplies prepared, let’s look at some creative circle weekly spreads.
Bullet Journal Circle Weekly Spread Ideas
A circle weekly spread is a very wide term, so let me clarify - I consider it a circle weekly spread if there are large circular elements involved in the setup.
And even if you don't agree with my interpretation completely, you'll still have fun looking at these beautiful and inspiring weekly pages.
Let's dive in!
Probably the first format I think about when thinking of a circle weekly spread is this exact idea. The whole week is inside a circle, and the outside part is used for any extra elements you need for your planning.
Another idea I have is to have a big circular element in the middle and have the daily sections coming out of it. And as you can see, this creator even managed to fit two weeks in this layout!
If you're going for a large circle element in the middle of your weekly spread, a mandala is definitely the right choice. Moreover, drawing a mandala is very mindful and calming way to spend your time.
In this particular paragraph, the creator decided not to do a big circle but to use smaller circles for daily boxes and other weekly log sections. I love how creative she got with compasses.
This page looks absolutely stunning and aesthetic, and you can definitely have the same effect - the creator used stickers to make this page true! If this is the style you're on the lookout for, be sure to check the stickers in this shop!
As I mentioned before, for me, this is the most circle weekly format, so when I gave it a try, this is exactly how I designed it. I used a larger than A5 journal here, so even with the constraints of the weekly circle, I still had plenty of space to plan.
One more example of how you can easily create an aesthetic circle weekly setup by just using a few stickers. It makes the weekly log look so much more elaborate than it really is.
This isn't really your standard circle weekly, but since the biggest element is circular, I thought it's still worth including in this lineup. Plus, I really love the patterns the creator added to the top of the page.
Just because it's a circle weekly layout, it doesn't mean that it has to occupy two pages. Here is an example of how to easily create a circle weekly spread just on one page. So you can use the other page for anything extra or maybe for something completely unrelated to your week.
A circle weekly format is actually a fantastic way to show off your artistic skills, and this is a great example of one such artist. Yes, there is no space for much more on this weekly spread, but often, you don't really need anything extra!
I love how strongly this creator went on theme with astrology - everything fits so well, from colors to metallic accents! The weekly spread is also very well organized, so you can fit so many different elements into it.
Here is another simple example of a circle weekly spread where all the daily boxes are circles. And I love that the lettering on this page made in bright black ink is the true decoration!
I adore how every creator brings their own take on this weekly format with their own unique style of adding decorations to it. These cute mushrooms are adorable and perfect for making the spread stand out.
Pretty often, you can actually use color to create a theme in your Bullet Journal, a line you can see on this circle's weekly spread. Even though these are little stars that form a certain theme, I think it's the bright colors and the way they match that really make this layout look special.
Last but not least is this stunning weekly spread, and since it's all centered around a wreath in the middle of the page, I still consider it an example of a circle weekly format.
