Using New Pages In Your Bullet Journal
Starting a Bullet Journal is like stepping into a vibrant candy store. There are so many different flavors to try, and so many colorful delights that catch your eye.
You can’t help but want to sample them all!
But, just as with candies, it’s important not to overindulge and try everything at once. I learned this the hard way when I first started bullet journaling.
I was so excited about all the possibilities that I created a dozen different pages right off the bat. From habit trackers to mood charts, from meal plans to gratitude logs, my Bullet Journal was brimming with bright ideas.
And while it was rewarding to see so many pages come to life, it soon became overwhelming. I found myself spending more time maintaining my journal than actually enjoying the process or benefiting from it. My love for Bullet Journaling was turning into more of a chore.
So, here’s my friendly piece of advice to you: start small. Experiment with a few page ideas that truly resonate with you. Maybe it’s a sleep tracker because you’ve been wanting to improve your sleep patterns. Or perhaps it’s a reading list because you’re an avid bookworm. Choose what brings you joy and what you find useful in your daily life.
Remember, your Bullet Journal is a personal tool designed to enhance your life, not complicate it. So, don’t be afraid to try different things, to play around with layouts and themes, make mistakes, and learn from them. That’s all part of the journey.
But also remember to pace yourself. Take the time to enjoy each page you create, each doodle you sketch. It’s not about filling your journal with as many pages as possible; it’s about creating a space that reflects and enriches your life.

Stationery Recommendations
But Masha, I hear you say I have no creative talent; how could I ever hope to create anything cute in my new journal?
Well, there are many answers to that, the first of which being that creativity is something we all have; you just have to practice, and you’ll see yourself creating the most stunning pages out there!
When I started my journal, I couldn’t doodle anything apart from a smiley face and one weird eye, so trust me, if I did it, so can you!
But the biggest hack to creating cute Bullet Journal pages when you don’t feel too artistic is by using stationery!
So here are a few supplies that I’m sure will help you to create adorable pages in no time:
- Sakura Pigma Micron – no matter what you create and what style you choose, you need a good set of fineliners, and these are amazing! They last for a long time, they have beautiful black archival ink, and they come with different nib sizes, so you can add variety to your pages.
- Pastel markers – if you’re going for cute, there is no better way than doing it in pastel colors. My go-to for that are Tombow Dual Brush pens. They have a marker and a brush tip, so you can use them to add color and to do brush lettering.
- Cute stickers. My go-to for those are Etsy or Aliexpress. They have the most adorable stationery and stickers. I love the ones from Jinosart on Etsy and these kawaii stickers from Aliexpress.
- Washi tape. This is another cool thing that can make your pages look extra cute in no time. Just try these cute slim washi tapes!
If you know me, you know that I can spend hours talking about stationery, so let’s finish with recommendations for now and get to the list.

Let's embark on this exciting journey together and watch how these adorable ideas transform your journaling experience!
Cover pages are not a must-have of Bullet Journaling, but as a beginner, I think you'll enjoy them! They are great at being a clear divider between the months but also provide you with tons of space to get creative.
Of course, I had to find a cute inspiration for this list, and I think I did pretty well finding this adorable cover page.
I don't know about you, but I think this page looks pretty cute! This is a very useful spread to have, especially if you're going overboard with your skincare and use some serums that you shouldn't mix.
It's a cute idea, and the spread came out absolutely adorable. Why not bring some fun to your Bullet Journal by creating special pages for big events in your life and allowing yourself some space to express your creativity?
As you can see, this spread was created with tons of different supplies that helped with the cuteness.
Setting goals and creating an actionable plan to achieve them is one of the main purposes of your Bullet Journal. So I'd definitely recommend you try out this page in any form you want.
And, of course, there is always a way to make it look cute!
It's not necessarily a must-have page for everyone, but if you're working on your sleep patterns or are a student who never seems to be able to get enough sleep, this could be a perfect solution for you! It helps to see your sleeping schedule at a glance and figure out patterns that influence your sleeping hours and the quality.
Plus, I had to include this adorable spread on this list! The pink is perfect, and don't you just want to squish this little piggy?
The spread itself might not be your traditional cute page, but it's so stunning I wanted to include it! Plus, I still think it's super cute.
This is also an amazing idea for beginners. Having a wishlist (and not necessarily a makeup one) will be a fun way to do some dream shopping and to make sure next time you want to treat yourself, you get something you really love and not just the first thing you see on the way.
Music is life! And it's definitely a cool tool that can help us set the right mood or bring back some old memories. So, I always recommend it as a page for beginners - it's useful and super fun, and you can play around so much with the colors and design of your page!
I think this particular playlist is extra cute because of the lovely color combination.
I always found that memory-keeping pages are such a great self-care practice! It really allowed me to see my life in a better light, as well as provided me space to experiment more with different supplies and styles.
And you can do it as often as you want, every day, once a week once a month, or even just once a year.
When talking about cute Bullet Journal ideas, you can't pass on something based on Japanese animation! This mood tracker came out looking incredible!
And generally, a mood tracker is a page I'd recommend you try. It's a wonderful tool to help you with mental health and general well-being. There are a few more resources at the end of the post if you want to dive deeper into it all.
This page is pure gold of ideas! And it's especially amazing if you're still trying to figure out the best way to use your Bullet Journal to help you with your goals.
It's basically your monthly plan for the things that you'll be working on, so you never lose your focus and concentrate on doing things that help you get to where you're going.
It has a pretty simple but functional design. I think it's cute, though, because of these adorable tiny doodles.
I like this page idea, and it can absolutely include just a list of Bullet Journal pages you want to try or different pens and watercolors. Play around!
I think these lists really help you to gather ideas and see what's something you really love doing.
And, of course, adding tons of small doodles adds an extra feel to the page!
A gratitude log is probably my favorite page ever. It's basically a space for you to write one good thing that happened to you that day. It really does wonders in improving your mental health.
This particular gratitude log looks adorable with all these beautiful flower drawings! And I love that this gratitude log is for two pages, so you really get lots of space for daily journaling.
This is another tracker on the list, and this is definitely a page many in the Bullet Journal community found useful. It's exactly what it sounds like - a page to track your new habits or to avoid your old ones.
Of course, I had to find a cute one, and I believe this one fits the description. What can be cuter than desserts in pastel colors?!
As you can see, I'm really a lot into using Bullet Journal to improve general wellbeing. This page is no exception - it will be so helpful to have this list at hand! Next time you're feeling down, you'll know right away what to do to elevate your mood.
And I think just by using pastel colors, I already made it look cute, wouldn't you agree?
One more cuteness win for dessert-themed pages!
A quote page is not a must-have, but I find that a good quote can set your mood and be extremely uplifting. Plus, just spending time by yourself calmly creating a page can be very helpful; look at it as a type of self-care!
And if you want to learn how to create quote pages, check the end of the post for more resources on that.
