Stationery Recommendations
Before diving into the weekly spreads, of course, I wanted to take a second to talk about stationery. After all, I believe having the supplies you love will help you create pages you like more easily and with more fun.
So here are a few of my top recommendations:
- Fineliners. These are the basics for every Bullet Journal page, perfect for drawing and doodling. I recommend Sakura Pigma Micron, which also comes in a set with different nib sizes, allowing you a variety of line thicknesses.
- Markers. If you want to add color to your pages, you’ll need some markers. Your choice will depend on what colors you like. My top choices are Zebra Mildliners and Tombow Twin Tone.
- Brush pens. To add beautiful brush lettering to your weekly spreads, you need a good set of brush pens. I recommend Tombow Fudensuke since they are smaller tips and pretty easy to master. If you’re looking for a larger brush pen and something with tons of colors, you can’t go wrong with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
- Stencils. These little helpers are great to allow you to set up your weekly spreads faster. I recommend these weekly spread stencils that are built specifically for your weekly pages.
Ok, now that we have all the supplies, it’s time to dive in and start planning your next week!
Easy Bullet Journal Weekly Spread Inspirations
Ready to get inspired? I have collected 13 different weekly spread pages here to demonstrate different formats and approaches to an easy weekly layout.
Get the general idea, check out what elements and ways the creators used, and I'm sure you'll be able to create unique and easy weekly spreads in no time!
I really like this weekly spread and how organized it is. The creator even manages to add space here for mini calendars and a quote page!
Also notice how beautiful headers and a bit of color really added character to the whole layout.
I love one-page format, and for me, it's really something that can be set up easily. Plus, often because the layout doesn't leave that much free space, I feel like I don't actually have to add that much in terms of decorations.
This layout really put the empty space to good use, making the spread look extra aesthetic and stylish. I also really like the font the creator used for the headers here.
This is a pretty simple and straightforward format, but the creator really added an extra flair with this interesting font. And of course, the cute little pumpkin doodles.
Here is a great example of how you can easily add a bit of color and creativity to your weekly log with some washi tape. But I also think the brush lettering the creator used for headers helped make this page special.
Here is one more one-page weekly layout I've created, and it was a very easy one as well. As you can see, I only used stickers and washi tape to add some decor to it, and I think it came out fantastic. Time-wise, it was very easy and fast to create.
I love this layout because it's actually super simple to create; you just need to add the headers for each day of the week. Of course, a floral illustration looks fantastic, but even if you skip it, you'll still get a beautiful layout.
This weekly layout is so well organized. The creator really managed to fit so much in just two pages. I think adding colorful brush lettering headers to the layout also helped to make it more unique and interesting.
Sometimes the best way to make your page stand out and look more fun is by using colors, and the color combination the creator used in this weekly layout is fantastic!
This simple weekly spread is one more example of how one page can be enough for a complete monthly setup. But also, if you want to just use one black pen, you can still create a stunning weekly layout, and not switching pens will probably help you do it faster as well.
This is one of the easiest formats to create for your weekly spread, and since I don't like drawing lines here, I just used a light grey marker to build borders for my daily entries.
This weekly log looks absolutely stunning, I love how the creator used the color black and created those thick noles to add variety and contrast to the page.
A great way to add a bit of something extra, but without spending too much time on it, is by adding tiny doodles. They will always look extra cute! And I love how the creator varied between different styles for the daily boxes.
