Stationery Recommendations
Let’s have a quick chat about stationery before we dive into the weekly spread ideas.
Of course, you can use all the things you already have in your collection. But if you want to get something special, here are some of my favorites:
- Fineliners. These are the basics for every Bullet Journal page, perfect for drawing and doodling. I recommend Sakura Pigma Micron, which also comes in a set with different nib sizes, allowing you a variety of line thicknesses.
- Markers. If you want to add color to your pages, you’ll need some markers. Your choice will depend on what colors you like. My top choices are Zebra Mildliners and Tombow Twin Tone.
- Brush pens. To add beautiful brush lettering to your weekly spreads, you need a good set of brush pens. I recommend Tombow Fudensuke since they are smaller tips and pretty easy to master. If you’re looking for a larger brush pen and soemthing with tons of colors, you can’t go wrong with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
- Stencils. These little helpers are great to allow you to set up your weekly spreads faster. I recommend these weekly spread stencils that are built specifically for your weekly pages.
With all your supplies prepared, let’s look at some wonderful and creative weekly spreads!
Weekly Spread Bullet Journal Ideas
There are so many different ways you can set up your weekly spreads! And then the array of ways you can decorate it is even wider.
But sometimes, this variety can become overwhelming; you can get a little lost in all the possibilities.
That's why I've created this post: so you can see some exact ideas on how to set up and decorate your Bullet Journal weekly spread and jump-start your mind to create a weekly that is perfect for you.
Let's dive in!
Let's start with this page, which is one of my favorite weekly spreads of all time. It's an easy horizontal format that gives me plenty of space to plan each day and write what I need during the week.
But I also added a goals section, where I write down the most important tasks for that day. It really helped me achieve more that week.
This is a simple weekly setup and a great example of how you can decorate your page. If you need more space, you can add some color to your headers. But if you don't - there is an option to create a bright illustration at the bottom of your page.
Being decorative with your weekly pages is great, but if you don't have the time for it and are looking for a weekly that is just a pure function and nothing extra - you've got this one!
I love how the weekly to-do list is divided into different categories; I find that it's very useful, especially if you use just one journal for all your life.
The little brush lettering accents actually add some character and decoration to the page, so you could use this idea is you want your spread to have a little bit of spark.
Flowers are a great way to decorate your Bullet Journal pages, and this weekly page is an example of how just a few simple floral illustrations can add so much style and character to a pretty easy weekly spread.
Adding color to your pages is an easy way to make them look more fun, and this is a great example. I also like that the creator added a weekly menu and a few trackers to the layout—a great example of how you can customize your weekly spreads to your own needs.
Some weeks, you don't need that much space, so you go with a one-page weekly spread. Or, if you use a larger journal, like a B5, one page might be enough to fit your entire week.
This spread was also super easy to set up since all I really had to do was add some stickers and washi tape.
I just had to include this stunning weekly sprea§d example. It's black and white, so it might sound boring, but it looks anything but! I absolutely adore that contrast between white and black and the slight gold accents the creator added.
I love using different colors of paper in my journal; it's an easy and unusual way to decorate the spread and play on the contrast.
For those, I usually use Archer and Olive notepads (get 10% off with my code MASHA10) since they have high-quality paper and come with a dot grid.
It's such an unusual idea to decorate the borders of your weekly spreads, but it looks great! It allows the page to have plenty of colors while keeping the daily boxes white.
And in case you're wondering, the gold accents were created with a gold Sakura Gelly Roll pen.
If you're on a hunt for a weekly spread to help you boost productivity, this one is the way to go! Time blocking helps you plan your day better and ensure that you allocate enough time for each task you have to do.
I love this fun and beautiful week spread! I think it's a great example that you don't have to follow the usual format and use rectangles for your daily boxes - you can definitely play around with the shapes and sizes of all your elements.
Want to create something simple but with a little bit of flavor? Here is a great example! Create little wreaths around your dates, add a quote, and your weekly spread looks like an elaborate design.
I'll be honest; I'm not the biggest fan of Circle weekly spreads. I tried it a few times, and I found that they are not really that convenient to use.
But they look great! And maybe they would work for you, so I always recommend you try them for yourself before deciding.
Want to go for something simple and stylish? This is the idea for you! Use beautiful handwriting for your headers and a piece of kraft paper for accent, and you've got yourself an aesthetic looking weekly page.
It's a simple and yet very functional weekly layout, and I really like how the creator used different color accents for different days of the week. It's subtle but looks excellent.
I love decorating spreads based on a monthly theme, and this is a great example of how to create a coffee-themed weekly.
As you can see, a creator added a lot of coffee cups here, but if you need more space for your planning, you can definitely doodle less and use the space for any extra elements you want.
What a fun and creative weekly spread! I love the bright colors and how they contrast with the deep black of the letters.
This is a tropical theme, as you can see little pineapples, but I think the same concept would work very well if you add something Halloween-themed instead of pineapples, and the yellow half circles would be moons.
This particular weekly page is a fantastic example of how much you can actually fit into one weekly spread. As you can see, the creator has everything they need here, from daily boxes to a sleep tracker!
I love this spread and how it always looks like a pre-made planner page. I find a special beauty in a monochrome minimalist style.
If you want to recreate something similar, I'd definitely recommend you try this monochrome set of Tombow Dual Brush pens.
A running to-do list is an easy way to plan your week, and sometimes, it might be just the thing for you.
It's basically like creating a big to-do list and then having a little section on the side to mark which days you completed which tasks.
It's not my favorite format since it means all the tasks are together in the same pile, and I like dividing them by days, but it could work in many situations, and it's a pretty fast format to create.
This one is actually a printable page, but the format is excellent, so I really wanted to include it in this list. It has plenty of sections for all types of useful information, and I like that the creator even added extra divisions to the daily boxes as well.
