Free Printable Reading Journal Templates
Finding Free Bullet Journal printables for your reading journal just got much easier!
If your massive to-be-read pile is currently threatening to topple over and completely crush your nightstand, you are in the exact right place. I designed trackers to keep your bookish life organized, fun, and aesthetically pleasing.
I have gathered up some reading journal templates that I created myself, along with a few brilliant designs from other incredibly talented creators in our journaling community.
You can easily download these pages, print them out, and paste them straight into your notebook. Grab your favorite pen, get cozy with a warm cup of tea, and let us set up a reading journal that will actually make you want to log every single chapter you finish this year.

I have been Bullet Journaling since 2018, and pretty much right from the beginning, I learned how beneficial it can be to have printables.
They allow you to quickly try and experiment with new pages and new formats while spending no effort. And considering that journaling in many ways is a trial-and-error kind of system, printables are the perfect way to easily figure out and create something that works perfectly for your specific needs.
In this post, we’ll be talking specifically about pages for your reading journal, if you want to have a separate one for your bookish adventures. Or you can just use some of these in your Bullet Journal as a special collection.
Anyway, let’s have a quick word on how you can actually add your printables to your journal.

How To Use Printables In Your Journal
The most important step is making sure the printable matches the size of your journal. If itโs already formatted for A5, which is the standard size for most Bullet Journals, youโre good to go.
If not, you can tweak your printer settings to scale it down to A5. You can check the end of the post if you need a detailed post with step-by-step video tutorial.
All you need to get started is a printer and some paper, though there are also a few extra tools you can use if you want your printables to look even more tidy and professional.
Here are some of my top recommendations for supplies to help you use printables:
- High-quality printing paper. Especially if you’re planning to use any markers on your printables, you need to have a high-quality paper. Otherwise, it will damage your pens. I prefer using HP Premium Paper.
- Paper cutter. You can definitely just use scissors, but I find that you always get cleaner cuts if you use a paper cutter like this Firbon paper cutter.
- Corner rounder. I find that most journals have rounded corners, so it would be a fun idea to cut your printables the same way. You can do it yourself with a pair of sewing scissors like I do, but I would recommend using a corner rounder instead.
Hopefully, that clarifies it all, and you’re ready to get printables and start using them in your journal. So, let’s look at the ones I found for you here.
