How To Use Printables In Your Journal
In case you’ll want to add printables to your Bullet Journal, here are a few simple steps and tricks to do that seamlessly.
It all comes down to one main point: the printable should fit your journal. Most Bullet Journal notebooks use an A5 size, so if the printable is already formatted that way, you’re good to go.
Otherwise, you can tweak your print settings to A5 for a perfect fit.
There are also plenty of handy tools available to help you achieve a clean, professional look.
Here are some of my top recommendations for supplies to help you use printables:
- High-quality printing paper. Especially if you’re planning to use any markers on your printables, you need to have a high-quality paper. Otherwise, it will damage your pens. I prefer using HP Premium Paper.
- Paper cutter. You can definitely just use scissors, but I find that you always get cleaner cuts if you use a paper cutter like this Firbon paper cutter.
- Corner rounder. I find that most journals have rounded corners, so it would be a fun idea to cut your printables the same way. You can do it yourself with a pair of sewing scissors like I do, but I would recommend using a corner rounder instead.
Honestly, all you really need is a piece of paper and scissors, but these supplies I mentioned can help you make it easier.
Ok, now that we covered that, let’s look at those free printables I found for you.
Free Steps Tracker Printables
In this post, I gathered step trackers from 9 different creators, all with their own style and their own approach to tracking your daily movements. So I'm sure you'll find here something that fits our aesthetics and your tracking needs.
Let's dive in!
Starting with this beautiful and brightly colored step tracker for 30 days. I love how it looks so fun and colorful; I think it adds a bit more motivation. And all you really need is to print it out, and it's all done and ready for use.
This tracker is available for 30 and 311 days, so it will pretty much work for every month of the year. I love that this tracker is based on coloring the sneakers every day; I think it adds a bit of a more creative element to it, making it a fun coloring activity.
And I would definitely take anything that makes physical activity more fun.
This tracker is not for a month but more for a little challenge. I think it's a great way to reframe how you approach establishing new habits. You just turn it into a challenge, and suddenly, it has less pressure and more fun and motivation.
This cute little tracker is just for two weeks, but I think it's definitely a good way to start. When starting on new things, it's definitely best to do small steps, and this tracker is small enough to not be overwhelming but is enough to get you going with the new habit.
This beautiful monthly drop tracker has more of a graph approach to how you'll see your steps, and I love it - it really helps to visually get a better idea of how you're doing.
I also really like the calming and beautiful green decorations the creator added to these printables.
As I mentioned before, I love turning new habits into a challenge, and this tracker is another one to help you with that. I love that here, the creator also added the area for reward after completing the challenge and space for things that can help you make it a success.
This source will give you 16 different step trackers, all with different approaches and in different colors, so you will definitely be able to find a format and style that will fit your needs the best.
This is such an amazing idea to bring together a step tracker and a water tracker! After all, these are very connected, and you need to do both to be in your best shape.
As you can see, these trackers are available in two colors and styles, so you get options and can even customize it more once it's printed and in your journal.
Last but not least is this yearly step tracker page. It reminds me, in a way, of a year in pixels layout, only in this case, we are tracking steps rather than your moods.
If you're just starting with your step journey, having a yearly calendar can be overwhelming, but if it's something you're really set on doing the entire year - this one is definitely for you!
