Stationery Recommendations
Before we dive into those beautiful cover pages, let’s look at some stationery that can help you bring that theme to life in your Bullet Journal pages.
Having good quality supplies that you love will help you create your pages easier and with much more enjoyment. So here are a few of my favorites:
- Fineliners. These are the basis for every Bullet Journal page and your faithful companions in the world of journaling. My top recommendation is the Sakura Pigma Micron, which also comes in different nib sizes, allowing for a variety of line thicknesses.
- Brush pens. Brush pens are perfect for adding brush lettering to your Bullet Journal pages, drawing, or even adding color. I would recommend the Tombow Fude brush pen for a smaller brush tip and the Tombow Dual Brush for a larger brush tip and significantly more colors.
- Markers. These are a must-have if you’re a fan of colorful pages. The choice of these depends on the colors you like. My favorites are Zebra Mildliner and Tombow Twin Tone. But if you want a real color variety, try Crayola Super Tips – they come in 100 colors and are pretty affordable, especially considering the number of colors!
Ok, now that you have all your supplies at the ready, let’s dive in and see some cover pages to get your creativity going.
Ice Cream Bullet Journal Cover Page Ideas
Ice cream is a fun little theme that can be created in so many different ways in your Bullet Journal. In this post, I gathered cover pages from 17 different creators.
Each of these has their own style and approach to decorating their Bullet Journal pages, so you'll find something that will spark your imagination.
Let's dive in!
I absolutely love this cover page and the idea of melting ice cream forming letters. I think it is a perfect format for a hot summer month like June.
This cover page has several different ice cream types, which I really like as an idea. But I also adore the color combination the creator chose!
Here's a slightly different idea for your cover page - instead of just drawing different types of ice cream, try drawing an ice cream stand or a full-blown shop.
I also really like the pastel color scheme the creator chose, it really creates a very different and soft look to this theme.
This ice cream drawing looks absolutely stunning, and I feel like it looks a little bit Japanese style. I love the details the creator added, like the little fruits and a special wrapping paper.
I love this cover page and how it almost looks like those big colorful ice creams are melting from the heat of the month!
Beautiful and bright ice cream cover page, I love how the creator drew different types of ice cream doodles. It's also pretty cute how they called it a chapter 7 month!
This approach to ice cream is really fun - each of the doodels is almost transparent, and it almost seems like the letters for the month are made of popsicles! I also think it's a fun idea to add a quote net to your cover page, setting a tone for the upcoming month.
Where I grew up, we didn't have ice cream trucks, but I saw plenty of movies to know how fun and exciting they can be! And I love the melting ice cream on top!
A fun assortment of all types of ice cream, and of course, I love this cover page especially because of the colors the cerato used - my favorite Zebra Mildliners.
A Dutch door is an interesting concept that allows you to have more space for your pages. It doesn't necessarily translate that way into a cover page, but it gives a cover page a different look, and an ice cream cone is an easy shape to cut out.
I think this is a perfect example of a summer ice cream-themed page - ice cream and watermelon are both big things associated with this season for me.
If you want to get extra detailed and artistic with your ice cream theme, this cover page can be a perfect inspiration for your monthly setup.
I love this little different approach - instead of different ice cream types, you get scoops with different flavors! And the melting effect of the chocolate ice cream on top is great!
If you want to simply build a theme around an ice cream cone, you definitely can. And the best part is that there are so many different ways to make this theme more varied with little details and different flavor colors.
I love the cute idea of decorating the cover page with lines of ice cream doodles, and of course, the pastel type colors used look adorable!
Watercolor is an interesting medium, and there are so many fun effects you can achieve with it! It goes especially well with ice cream doodles like the ones you see on this page.
Last but not least is this beautiful cover page that has these beautiful, bright colors. I love the idea of putting the illustration in a bit of a frame for a different effect.
