Stationery Recommendations
Of course, I had to take a second and talk about some stationery that I think will be super helpful and fun for you to use when creating this or any other theme in your Bullet Journal.
Here are a few of my favorites that I’m sure you’ll love as well:
- Fineliners. These are the basis for every Bullet Journal page and your faithful companions in the world of journaling. My top recommendation is the Sakura Pigma Micron, which also comes in different nib sizes, allowing for a variety of line thicknesses.
- Brush pens. Brush pens are perfect for adding brush lettering to your Bullet Journal pages, drawing, or even adding color. I would recommend the Tombow Fude brush pen for a smaller brush tip and the Tombow Dual Brush for a larger brush tip and significantly more colors.
- Markers. These are a must-have if you’re a fan of colorful pages. The choice of these depends on the colors you like. My favorites are Zebra Mildliner and Tombow Twin Tone. But if you want a real color variety, try Crayola Super Tips – they come in 100 colors and are pretty affordable, especially considering the number of colors!
Ok, enough about that; let’s look at some inspirations and see how we can turn your Bullet Journal pages into an ice cream haven.
Ice Cream Bullet Journal Theme Inspirations
I love this theme and how many different ways you can approach it. In this blog post, I gathered 19 different examples from talented creators, each with their own ideas and aesthetics.
I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find here something that speaks to you and fits your style. Let's dive in!
Let's start with this beautiful take on an ice cream theme with traditional crops of ice cream and a cherry on top, even though they are placed in a bit of a different order.
I absolutely love this approach of having the letters formed by spilled ice cream. I think it is a very creative lettering idea, and of course, it's perfectly executed.
Here is one more monthly log, and I love that the creator went for cute, colorful ice cream doodles. It's also a fun effect to add colorful shades to the little monthly log boxes.
I love Natasha and the beautiful, creative, and bright style she has in her Bullet Journal. On this cover page, I love how even the letters look like popsicles.
A fantastic way to create a theme in your Bullet Journal is to use stamps. It can help you add any doodles you like, and if you just play around with different ink colors, the entire theme will look very varied and colorful.
Be sure to check out these stamps; they are super cute, and there are many different ice cream designs you can choose from.
We've seen plenty of different colorful takes on ice cream, but if you just want to use one color, that also can be done, and here is a beautiful cover page as an example.
I love this tracker and how perfect popsicles are for tracking your moods! As you can see, the creator sometimes added several different moods to one day, and because it's a popsicle, it looks so natural!
Using stickers to create a monthly theme is a great shortcut to make your setups easier and look good no matter what.
In case you're looking for some stickers you can use, try ice cream stickers by squarelimedesigns (the creator of this cover page) or these ice cream stickers by The Prairie Planner.
I'm not sure this is what this creator went for, but for me, this cover page screams cottage core with beautiful soft colors, patterns, and kraft paper cutouts. It's such a gentle approach to this theme; I love it!
Pastel colors are beautiful, and you definitely can use them for your ice cream theme, considering how many different flavors are out there! And I love that here you can also see some ideas for headers you can use to decorate your pages.
At the same time, you can use these ideas, change up the colors, and get a completely different look.
I love quote pages; I think they are perfect to help you set your intentions and the mood for the entire month, And you can definitely create one with the same theme as your monthly setup.
HJere is an example of an ice cream-themed quote page, and I think it came out looking absolutely stunning! I really love the little dots of color the creator added to the background.
For me, it's all always about colors, and I am absolutely in love with the beautiful color combination on this page. It's also interesting how the creator didn't use any black lines here as well, keeping the collar of the main character.
You can create a beautiful and functional weekly spread without spending hours on it. Here is a great example - two colors and one adorable ice cream doodle, and you have a fun and themed weekly spread to stay on track the whole week.
Another beautiful cover page with bright and vivid colors. And I like the melting of the ice cream and hot it drops down to the little monthly calendar.
This is not a specific page, but I think it gives a lot of inspiration about what you can do with your Bulelt Journla for an ice cream theme, especially if you're creating it as a summer theme.
It feels like those little ice cream drawings were done with watercolor, or at least with water-based brush pens. Either way, it's such a beautiful weekly spread, and the colors match well together, bringing a happy and bright feeling.
Another approach to the ice cream theme is to concentrate on a shop that sells ice cream rather than just ice cream scoops and flavors. It keeps the theme similar but gives you a lot of different ideas and elements to play with.
Here is an interesting take on ice cream. Try using something else rather than the ice cream itself. For example, this illustration is clearly an ice cream cone, but instead of the delicious sweet, you see flowers. It's a creative way to bring something different to a clear and well-known theme.
I absolutely love this idea of using scoops of ice cream as daily boxes on your weekly spread. I also here, I love the different colors the creator chose, it really feels so different from all the other ice cream themes I've seen.
