Plan With Me: April 2026 Bullet Journal Setup
My April Bullet Journal Setup is finally ready, and I must say I’m pretty happy and excited about it! Spring is in the air, and I think the sunny weather and more time outside really pushed me to get a bit more creative and fun.
If your planner has felt a little uninspired lately, you are definitely not alone. I spent most of last month rushing through my weekly spreads, so I decided it was time to slow down and create something genuinely fun.
Grab your markers, cozy up with a nice cup of tea, and plan with me as we set up our pages for the new month. Whether you’re also doing April or any other month, I’m sure you’ll find something inspiring here to give you that spark of creativity!
Let us make this month our most creative and productive one yet!

This particular setup was heavily inspired by Portuguese tiles. Since Portugal is where I live, I see them everywhere, and they kind of captured my imagination.
I thought it would be such a fun way to play around with different designs and patterns, and definitely very meditative. And I was absolutely right about it!
So yes, this is my theme reveal – tiles. Or at least patterns, you can choose the theme name yourself as we go through the pages.
And as always, be sure to scroll to the end of the post to get your FREE Bullet Journal printables to help you easily create a complete, themed monthly setup.
Plus, you’ll find links to more inspiration in case you’re still hungry even after this setup.
Let’s dive in!

Stationery Used
First, of course, let’s have a quick look at the supplies I used for this setup. Because I think the color scheme here is fantastic, and if you want to recreate the same, here is what you’ll need:
- Nuuna journal – this is still the same journal I started in 2025, and I have plenty of pages left.
- Altenew Fineliner Pens – these are what I used for my fineliners this time. I tried them for the first time last month, and I’ve been absolutely loving them.
- Crayola Super Tips – these pens have so many colors! I managed to find the perfect combination for my idea for this theme!
- Tombow Dual Brush – I used it for light grey lines; they have just the best and most light grey shade that works perfectly. I’m using N89 color.
That’s all I used! I wish I could tell you the exact color from my Crayolas, but unfortunately, they do not come with numbers.
April Bullet Journal Setup
Ok, here is a little disclaimer – usually tiles in Portugal are blue. I am well aware of it. But I also found it too boring for my Bullet Journal.
I tried several blue colors, and they all didn’t look like me, so I decided to go full on colors instead, and after half an hour of picking a good color combination among my 150 different Crayola colors, I finally picked the five that I think look great.
And it was not some big process, I literally just swatched the pens next to each other to see which colors looked good to me. That’s simple! And in the end, I love how it all turned out, so let’s dive into it together!
Cover Page
I was thinking of covering the entire page with tiles, but I thought in the end it might look better with some blank space (I know, what a radical thought for me!).
Another thing I was considering is whether I wanted to outline the tiles. I was considering using a light grey pen to make the squares very clear. But eventually I decided against it, and I’m happy with how it looks.

Monthly Log
Last month, I tried a monthly calendar log, and I realized that, right now, in my planning stage, a vertical one works just better. Never did I think such a thing would happen!
To make it visually easier, I added color to the weekends, and there is also a mini calendar at the top.
The vertical monthly log is in the middle, so I can separate personal items (on the right) from work-related items (on the left).

Habit Tracker & Mood Tracker
Next up are the trackers. And here is a thing here – I wanted to have my trackers again, but I also didn’t want to spend more time creating headers for them.
So my easy solution was to avoid headers and add tiles instead, and to use only half a page for both trackers. This works perfectly for my beautiful Nuuna with a smaller dot grid and larger pages that can fit all the elements I need.

Gratitude Log
This looks like a blank space now, but it is a space for my gratitude log. Again, I didn’t find it necessary to add a header; I think the titles do all the talking here.
I am very excited to see how all of this will look at the end of the month.

Weekly Spread
Last but not least, we of course have my weekly spread. I went with the format I liked using in April. And that’s another big change in my planning; I was always a vertical weekly log kind of girl.
And also, if you notice a mistake there, let me know in the comments! This is what happens when you journla while watching a movie – my thoughts were so scattered!

And that’s it, this is my April setup, and I must say, I really love it. I think the key here really was in having a good color combination, and I think I absolutely nailed it!
