15 Spring Theme Ideas For Your Bullet Journal
These Bullet Journal theme ideas are the perfect way to shake off the winter blues and bring fresh energy to your pages. Spring is all about blooming flowers, pastel colors, and a sense of renewal—so why not channel that into your spreads?
From watercolor florals to cute garden vibes, there’s no shortage of inspiration to brighten up your journal. These spring theme ideas can help you celebrate the season while keeping everything organized and fun.
Whether you’re sketching out weekly plans or tracking goals, a spring refresh might just be the creative spark your journal needs. Let’s make those pages bloom!
Spring really does have a way of stirring up creativity, doesn’t it? There’s so much inspiration to draw from—the soft colors of cherry blossoms, the playful energy of buzzing bees, or even the coziness of those first rainy days.
When it comes to your Bullet Journal, this season opens a doorway to endless possibilities. But here’s the golden rule to keep in mind: your journal, your rules.
You don’t have to stick to a specific trend or recreate designs down to the last detail. If you’re in love with bold, neon flowers instead of soft pastels, go for it! Your journal should be a reflection of you, not a box you force yourself into.
Themes aren’t about perfection—they’re about what resonates with you. Maybe you want to celebrate spring by filling your pages with sprawling doodles of butterflies and tulips. Or maybe your spring mood is captured better through minimalist layouts with hints of green and gold.
Anything goes! There’s no “wrong” way to theme your journal as long as it feels right to you. And if a spring theme isn’t your vibe, that’s fine, too. Every choice you make adds your unique flair to the pages.
And before we dive into the themes, let me mention that at the end of the post, you’ll be able to find plenty of FREE printables to help you create a beautiful spring Bullet Journal setup. So be sure to grab it!

Stationery Recommendations
Before we dive into these theme ideas, let’s talk about stationery. Obviously, you can already use anything you have in your collections, but wouldn’t it be more fun to refresh your Bullet Journal with some new cute stationery you’ll love using every day?
Here are a few of my favorites that I’m sure you’ll love as well:
- Fineliners. These are the basis for every Bullet Journal page and your faithful companions in the world of journaling. My top recommendation is the Sakura Pigma Micron, which also comes in different nib sizes, allowing for a variety of line thicknesses.
- Brush pens. Brush pens are perfect for adding brush lettering to your Bullet Journal pages, drawing, or even adding color. I would recommend the Tombow Fude brush pen for a smaller brush tip and the Tombow Dual Brush for a larger brush tip and significantly more colors.
- Stencils. Stencils are a great way to add decorative or functional elements to your Bullet Journal pages quickly. And unlike stickers, stencils are reusable. For Spring-themed pages, I think you would love these beautiful floral stencils.
- Markers. These are a must-have if you’re a fan of colorful pages. The choice of these depends on the colors you like. My favorites are Zebra Mildliner and Tombow Twin Tone.
With your supplies ready, let’s look at different spring theme ideas to help you refresh your Bullet Journal.
Spring Theme Ideas For Your Bullet Journal
Considering pretty much anything can be a theme for your Bullet Journal, this list could be quite literally neverending! But don't worry, I concised it all here to 15 ideas, and most of them are somehow connected to the season.
These are pages from different creators, each having their own style. That way, you get to see not only the theme idea but also different approaches one can take in bringing the theme to your Bullet Journal pages.
Let's dive in!
I think flowers are a beautiful theme for any month of the year, but spring especially. It's the time the time when nature wakes up, and we get back flowers and fresh green grass. So, somehow, going with brightly colored flowers seems like a very fitting theme for me. Plus, I really love colors, so it was a perfect fit.
Fruits are a fun little theme to try, and I love that this creator chose apples since they are pretty easy to draw, and yet you can play around so much with the colors and different sorts of apples.
I also like that the creator added the apple tree flowers here as well, since, of course, spring is when the trees start to bloom.
This theme looks pretty minimalist and very stylish. But at the same time, the creator added the green color and small botanical doodles to show a bit of a spring spirit in their Bullet Journal.
The creator called this theme green and gold, but I think it's more like vines. Fresh green leaves with little gold accents seem like a pretty easy theme to create, and yet it looks stunning!
And if you're wondering, for the gold accent, the creator used Sakura Gelly Roll, which is the best gel pen out there, in my opinion.
This is a great theme for any month of the year. For me, it's also like a fantasy trip - while I'm still setting up my office, I can dream about the way I want it to look.
I think the cute little green plant is a wonderful addition as well, and the color brings some spring feeling to the theme.
This fantastic and very detailed theme just screams spring! You feel the freshness of the air and the bright colors of the renewed nature. I bet this illustration took a while to create so beautifully, but I think it's absolutely worth it.
April showers is a famous expression, so you know this had to be a theme on this list. I decided to approach it in a more colorful way, and I added more floral doodles as well to symbolize what actually all the rain is for.
I know I always go with a lot of colors, but if you want to do black and white them, the flowers look absolutely wonderful that way! This particular setup uses tropical florals, which for me is more of a summer theme, but that's a wonderful thing about Bullet Journaling; you are the only one who can make the right decision for your Bullet Journal.
If you struggle to choose a theme for the month, you can always just build it around a certain color. Like in this monthly log, the creator went for shades of pink and blue. They also added a few floral doodles to make it a bit more spring-themed. But even without the drawings, just the colors would still make a beautiful and complete theme.
Any month of the year is great for bringing the things you love to your Bullet Journal pages, And if you love coffee, here is an idea on how to bring that love to your Bullet Journal this spring.
Here is one more fruit-based theme, but this time the creator really ensured that the theme is not as much oranges as it is orange tree blossoms. I think the beautiful illustration and the contrast between green and orange make this theme really special.
Spring is a wonderful time for fashion, you're finally out of all the layers of winter and can show off all the beautiful shoes and other clothes you've been hiding under coats and scarves.
This particular theme is about shoes and looks absolutely out of this world. The creator made incredible shoe drawings on each page of this setup.
Flowers are wonderful to decorate your pages, but you don't have to create a whole theme around it; you can definitely use them as a bit of an extra element to your already existing theme, For example, this creator went for a retro photography theme, but beautifully decorate it with a few florals as well.
This seems like a bit of a mixed theme. On one side, dandelions are obviously the main element of this monthly setup. On the other hand, this cover page really makes me think of gardening.
Whatever the creator was trying to say with this theme, it came out looking stunning and very fitting for spring.
Last but not least is this mix of rain and rainboots and flowers theme. I love mixing these two together; I think they truly are a perfect match for an inspiring spring theme.
