Plan With Me: July 2025 Bullet Journal Setup
A fresh Bullet Journal setup is like turning over a new leaf, and Julyโs theme is truly radiant.
This month, Iโve drawn inspiration from one of natureโs happiest flowersโsunflowers. Is there anything more uplifting than their golden petals stretching toward the sky? Theyโre vibrant, full of life, and the perfect centerpiece for a midsummer journaling vibe.
Whether youโre looking to brighten your spreads or try out a cheerful new theme, this setup will bring a little sunshine to your planning routine. Stick around to see how these blooming beauties find their way into weekly layouts, habit trackers, and more!

Since we’re experiencing a heat wave at the moment, I was really struggling to think of something to use as a theme in July. When your brain is melting, it’s hard to be creative.
Summer was the only word on my mind, and with the burning sun, it turned into an idea with sunflowers. They are very fun and pretty easy to draw. And more so, the brown and yellow is a beautiful color combo that will help me bring the summer vibes to my journal.
And to be honest, after the colorful theme I had in June, I really wanted to do something simple with just a few markers, and for this setup, I used only two!
So, if you’re looking for a bright, happy, and simple inspiration for a summer Bullet Journal setup, this is it. Let’s start from the supplies, of course.

Stationery Recommendations
Keep it simple is my current mantra, so there aren’t that many pens and markers I used. And the ones I did use are some of my go-to high-quality pens I use all the time.
So, here it is:
- Nuuna journal. I know they don’t have the thickest paper, but I really love the smaller dot grid and slightly bigger pages. Also, my last Nuuna journal lasted me for a year and a half, so I’m pretty excited about that.
- Sakura Pigma Micron. 03 is my favorite size for pretty much everything, and I used 005 for smaller details and things I didn’t want to stand out.
- Zebra Mildliners. Most of the colors you see on 90% of my pages are Zebra Mildliners.
- Helix Circle Maker – I had it before my move, and it’s so useful for creating all the possible circle elements in your Bullet Journal. The one I have now does the job, but honestly, this Helix one is so much better!
And that’s it, you can create a lot with just a few pens.
There are the supplies, let’s look at the pages I’ve created.
July 2025 Bullet Journal Setup
First, I want to mention that I was very conflicted about this theme. As I always do, I did the whole setup in fineliners first, and I really liked how it looks.
I don’t usually go for black and white themes, but somehow this worked. In the end, I still caved and colored in the flowers.
But I wanted to share with you both options and see what you think. So, for each page I share here, I’ll show two options of how it looks, and let me know in the comments if you prefer the color or black and white.
Cover Page
There are many ways you can approach creating a sunflower. I went with just the sunflower heads and nothing extra. Simple but effective, I think.
I realised that my cover page was not really centered once I finished sketching the sunflower, but in the end, I couldn’t be bothered with all the measurements, so I decided to keep it that way.
I feel like the more years I spend Bullet Journaling, the less I really care about things being perfect. And I’m really loving this new zen feeling!
The things I’m realising is that again I went for a similar block letters font to use for my headers. Honestly, I couldn’t be bothered to come up with anything different at this point.
So instead, I added the spaces inside letters, and I think they definitely look better when the color is added.
Monthly Log
I caved in and actually went again for a calendar view. And I wonder if you can actually spot the error I made, because, of course, when it comes to using a ruler, 8 out of 10 times I mess up something.
The error is, of course, that I added three daily boxes for the days of the month that do not exist.
I was thinking of how I can fix it, maybe color them in black? Use them to add some doodles? I have no idea yet, chances are I might just leave it as is and move on.
Bullet Journal Trackers
For trackers, I went for the same format I’ve been using this entire year. I love having all my habits in one line so I can see which days I slack off.
And sunflowers are a very easy idea for a mood tracker.
The numbers on the mood tracker are actually all over the place because I was way too lazy to calculate correctly.
So when it turned to coloring, I decided to color. I realised that I have plenty of petals that are extra, and therefore I decided to just color them in yellow.
The rest of the petals will be filled with the colors I used for mood tracking every month, so in the end, it will not look at all like a sunflower.
Gratitude Log
The gratitude page is what I skipped last month, but I actually realised that I missed it.
I was planning to do it in my other daily journaling notebook, but I haven’t really been using it much, so I thought I’d just come back to a gratitude log in the journal that I’d open every day.
One of the reasons I haven’t done my gratitude log is that I was not excited to write a huge title.
So, to actually use the page and not skip it, I decided to skip the header itself. This page looks pretty boring and simple, but it will be a really nice page full of my gratitude.
Weekly Spread
Of course, I also have a weekly spread, and once again, I went for a one-page weekly spread. This time, I’m not dividing the weekend into two days since I really barely use the daily boxes for the weekend.
And yes, if you’re wondering why the lines are wonky, it’s actually because, as always, I didn’t use a ruler. I feel like I’m actually getting better at making my hand-drawn lines straighter.
The empty space at the bottom is my to-do list, by the way. I just forgot to add the header until I started to add the color.
So, this is my actual July setup. I hope it inspired you and gave you some ideas on a theme to try in your Bullet Journal.
