Let’s be honest—planning a trip can feel like juggling 10 different things at once. But with the right travel Bullet Journal spread, you can turn the chaos into a smooth and exciting process.
From mapping out your itinerary to tracking expenses and even documenting your favorite moments on the road, these creative layouts do more than keep you organized—they help you truly savor your adventures.
Whether you’re prepping for a dream getaway or reliving it later, these ideas will make your trip extra special!

A Bullet Journal is like having a travel guide, planner, and memory-keeper all rolled into one.
When you’re trying to figure out where you want to go, your journal can serve as a space to unpack all your ideas. Seeing everything laid out visually can spark lightbulb moments—and help you settle on the destination that feels just right.
Once your location’s locked in, your Bullet Journal can help you create a perfect itinerary and ensure that you don’t miss any spots you’ve been excitedly saving on TikTok.
Your journal is also an immense help when it comes to figuring out the logistics. It easily turns the overwhelming and stressful job of planning the trip into something fun and easy.
Just like with any other type of page, with travel, you just need to think of something you need help with, and you’ll have an idea of a page you can create, making your Bulelt journal a custom-made travel agent.
But since that can be overwhelming in itself, I gathered a few ideas and inspirations in this post to get you started. And if you require more – check out the end of the post, because there are so many more ideas!
Also, at the end of the post, you’ll find some FREE printable travel journal pages that you can start using right away, so be sure to get those before you leave.

Stationery Recommendations
Before we dive into these inspirations, let’s take a minute to talk about supplies because they are always useful when creating any Bullet Journal pages. And they definitely help make the process more fun and colorful.
These are some of my top recommendations that are perfect for your travel journaling but work perfectly for your usual Bullet Journal as well.
- A journal. You’ll need a journal for all your travel pages. You can use a usual journal, like my favorite Archer And Olive notebooks (use code MASHA10 for 10% OFF), or you can do something more like a refillable travel notebook.
- Sakura Pigma Fineliners – these are a staple for creating any Bullet Journal spread. Their black archival ink and many different nib sizes will allow you to create stunning and elaborate pages.
- Tombow Fude Brush Pen – These small tip brush pens are universal. You can create elaborate brush lettering and beautiful headers or just use them for drawing.
- Markers. You probably want to add some colors to your pages, and I recommend choosing a few of your favorite markers. For me, it’s absolutely Zebra Mildliners.
With all your stationery ready, let’s dive into different pages you can create for an epic adventure!
Creative Travel Bullet Journal Spreads
The amount of different layouts you can create to help you plan your perfect vacation is quite literally limited only by your imagination, so this can be a very, very long post. But I want to make it a bit more manageable, so I included only 13 different pages here.
Each of these is also made by different creators, so you don't just get ideas but also inspirations on how you can bring them to life in your Bullet Journal because each creator on this list has their own style and aesthetic.
Let's dive in!
Traveling is all fun and games, but it is a pretty expensive hobby to have. So budgeting is one of the crucial things you can do to ensure that you have a great time without a crippling debt on your credit card.
Here is a lovely example of a budget page with an added layout for tracking all the expenses.
One of the most important lists you should have for traveling is a list of things to do before you leave. After all, you want to ensure you have prepared everything and you're leaving home without any worries on your mind, free to enjoy the vacation.
This is a beautiful example of this layout, and I love the aesthetics of this creator.
I love memory-keeping pages; I think they are a fun and creative way to ensure that you remember all the important and wonderful things that happen to you. And this is especially true for your travel!
This example of a memory page is stunning; I absolutely love all the different typesor journaling, space for doodles, of boxes the creator included. There is space f or journaling, space for doodles and for pictures as well. I would love to see this layout after the pen.
I always find it useful to have a layout with an outline of your trip. I love that this creator added details like wearer and clothes to it, so they are always ready for what's to come.
The last thing you want to do when travelling is to forget something important at home. And it's one thing if it's something small like a charger, you can always just buy a new one. But what if you forgot that beautiful dress you wanted to wear for that special event you planned? Or the shoes that go with all your outfits and are comfortable to walk in? These are much harder to replace.
Plus, you don't want your trip to start wit a frantic shopping session to get all the things you forgot. And that's why having a packing list is definitely a must-have!
Are you tracking the places you've visited? It could be a fun layout to try in your Bullet Journal! This creator has a goal to visit all the states, so they created this beautiful two-page layout and can see through the years how each state is filled with color after yet another trip.
Something I find both fun and useful is to create a countdown layout for your vacation. First of all, it helps you get more and more excited each day as you fill out this tracker and feel the happy vacation time coming.
Secondly, it's also a really good representation of how any more days you have to finish up all your current tasks so you can leave in peace.
Here is another type of dashboard with important information on the trip. Here, the creator concentrated more on things to do and possible expenses.
I love the bright colors on this layout! Just the colors already put me in a happy, bubbly vacation mood.
You already know how important it is to have a packing list, and I wanted to share with you a bit of a different approach to it.
Instead of one big list, you could have smaller lists based on different categories. Personally, I love categorizing things, since for me it's much more organized and clear that way. So I definitely approve of this layout.
Memorykeeping is so important, especially when it comes to travel. Whether it's writing down a few lines or creating a layout full of photos and ticket stubs, I always recommend that you take the time to put your memories on paper to preserve them forever.
Here is a wonderful example of a quick little memory page you can create. I love how the creator organized it in different areas and managed to include all the important details of this one short trip.
Even budget travel is still pretty expensive, and if you want to have a dream fancy vacation, it can cost so much more. But it doesn't mean it's not possible; you just need to prioritize that and start saving!
Here are cute layout ideas for a savings tracker that will help you get the money and stay motivated while doing it.
If you are planning a long trip with several locations, you might want to create a little layout like this one, where you can clearly map out all the steps of your journey.
Last but not least is this fantastic layout - it is a travel diary of each day of the tip represented in one big illustration. It's so creative and beautiful!
But don't let the skill of this creator scare you away; you can do the same with much easier doodles, stickers, or even just writing a few words for each of the days. Take this idea and put your own spin on it!
