Why Add A Quote Page To Your Bullet Journal
Creating quote pages in your Bullet Journal offers a multitude of benefits that can elevate your journaling experience to new heights. The first advantage is pretty straightforward – a good quote can absolutely uplift your mood!
On tough days, a quote that speaks to your heart can be just the boost you need to keep moving forward. It’s like having a pocket-sized cheerleader, always ready to remind you of your strength and resilience.
Quote pages also serve as a powerful tool for setting intentions. Whether you’re embarking on a new project, starting a fresh month, or setting goals for the week, a quote page can act as a guiding star. By choosing words that align with your aspirations, you create a focused mindset that helps navigate the path ahead.
And let’s not forget the practical side of things—filling out those empty pages! We all have those blank pages that seem to linger, waiting for inspiration to strike.
Creating a quote page is an excellent way to make use of them. Not only does it transform unused space into something beautiful, but it also adds a personal touch to your journal. It’s your space to express creativity and capture thoughts that inspire you, making each page truly your own.
Quote pages provide a personalized touch that makes your Bullet Journal a reflection of who you are, while also serving as a source of motivation and clarity.
Hope these few reasons gave you more motivation to try creating your own quote pages, so let’s dive into some inspirations!

Stationery Recommendations
If you want to create quote pages or recreate some of the ones in this post, you’ll need some supplies.
You can definitely use whatever you already have in your arsenal. However, if you feel like leveling up and adding some extra supplies to your collection.
Here are some of my favorites for creating quote pages:
- A comfortable pencil and eraser. The best way to make sure that your quote and Kettering look perfect is to start with a pencil, and you’ll need a comfortable one. My top picks are a Pilot Dr. Grip mechanical pencil and a Sakura Foam Eraser, which is white and doesn’t leave streaks behind.
- Fineliners. These black pens are perfect for creating any type of lettering or doodling project. They are a general must-have when it comes to creating Bullet Journal pages. My recommendation is Sakura Pigma Micron, which also comes in a set with different nib sizes, allowing you more line variety.
- Markers. If you want to add some color, you might need markers for that. I always recommend Crayola Super Tips since they come in many colors and are pretty affordable. My personal favorites are Zebra Mildliner and Tombow Twin Tone for their beautiful colors.
- Brush pens. Finally, if you want to add some brush lettering to your quote page, you’ll need brush pens. My tip choice here are Tombow Dual Brush Pens that come in so many colors and have a marker tip as well, allowing you to create thinner, more detailed lines.
Now that you have all your supplies ready, let’s get comfortable in your home office or just on the couch and pick some ideas for your next quote page.
Bullet Journal Quote Page Ideas
Quotes can serve many purposes, and there are many different approaches you can use to add quotes to your journal pages.
Here, I gathered some quote page inspirations from different creators so you can see what can be done and find a style and format that resonates with you the most.
Let's dive in!
Starting with this absolutely stunning quote! I love the pun in it, and it really makes the cold winter months sound a bit more fun and playful.
The lettering style here is beautiful, and the illustration, even though it occupies so much space, is very on the theme and unites all the text.
A good quote can be an extension of your monthly theme, and this is an example of just that. The theme the creator used here is Rory Gilmore, so adding one of her quotes fits so well and sets the feel for the entire monthly setup.
In one of my Bullet Journals, I added quotes to each cover page as a bit of motivation for the entire month, I usually try to connect the quote and the motivation with the monthly theme. My theme that month was coffee, so these particular words worked perfectly!
A different approach to adding your Bullet Journal is to actually add a small quote to your illustration, rather than building the illustration about the quote as we saw before.
This looks is absolutely stunning, and I think the minimalist and clean lettering of the quote fits very well with the entire feeling.
If you don't want to add illustrations to your quote pages, you really don't have to. Here is an example: the creator used beautiful bounce lettering fons and some fun colors to create a very memorable quote spread.
I love creating quote pages for all kinds of occasions, and this one. I've created it for Thanksgiving. In my opinion, the key to a good quote that looks interesting is to use colors that go well together and contrast different fonts, like block letters and faux calligraphy I used here.
Unline the previous quote page; here, we can see that most of the effort went into the floral illustrations. And it works very well with the style of this quote page and gives you a different idea of how to approach creating one in to your Bullet Journal.
What I loved about this quote is the colors. They are so bright and beautiful, and they really make the black of the letters stand out even more.
I love how the creator decorated this quote page. There are no illustrations, but plenty of stickers and washi tapes! If drawing thing is not your cup of tea, this is a fantastic approach that will allow you to still have decorated and colorful pages.
Quotes are also great for filler pages. This quote, for example, filled out an empty page I ended up having, or at least this is how I will remember it!
This quote is an example of how far you can go with just one black pen. Even though there are a few color accents, most of the effect was created by using different fonts and line thicknesses.
Natasha is a fantastic artist, and her work with lettering and illustration is always impeccable. This quote sets the mood for the entire journal, and I think she made it look simply breathtaking.
You know, I say this all the time, so at some point, I had to turn it into a quote page. For me, it was just something fun to practice my hand lettering skills and play around with the new pens. And that is also okay; creating just for the sake of creating is still worth it.
This is a beautiful quote with an important reminder, and I really love that the creator added a floral illustration to it; somehow, I think it fits the quote so well.
I love color and flowers, so this quote page is perfect for me! It's filled with tiny flowers., but the black of the lettering contrasts nicely, and the creator added some blank space around it so you can still clearly see the words.
