Stationery Recommendations
Before we look at the cover pages, let’s talk about some supplies that I think you’ll love using for creating summer-themed Bullet Journal pages, or any other pages in your journal, for that matter.
- Fineliners. You’ll need them to create all the pages, and they are especially great for doodling and drawing. I recommend trying Sakura Pigma Micron.
- Markers. In case you want to add some color, you’ll need some. I recommend starting with Crayola Super Tips since they come in so many colors and are pretty affordable. My second choice would probably be these Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
- Brush Pens. These are perfect for creating beautiful headers, and I’d recommend starting with Tombow Fude small brush pens.
- Stencils. If you want to speed up the process, you can always try out these planner stencils, which have a lot of planning elements, as well as some decorative elements. Using this, you can create pretty and decorative pages in no time.
OK, now you have your mood set and the supplies ready, so let’s look at some Bullet Journal cover pages for Summer.
Bullet Journal Summer Cover Page Ideas
There is so much creativity in the world of Bullet Journaling; there is never a shortage of ideas for cover pages and so much more.
In this blog post, I gathered 17 layouts from different creators, including a few cover pages that I've created. So I'm sure you'll find something that fits your style and your mood for a theme.
Let's start with a cover page I've created for my June Bullet Journal setup in 2025. This is all about the beach and sunny weather, while at the same time keeping it a bit easier on the illustrations.
I think fruits are a perfect inspiration for your summer pages, and especially the bright lemons! This over page also has a beautiful kraft paper for the header, and this is always something I especially love.
I love this cover page and how the colors are so wonderfully bright and happy for the season! The retro style also makes me think of the retro BBQ ice tea pitchers.
Anything to do with oceans and seas is a perfect idea for summer, at least I think so. And this cover page is beautiful and adorable at the same time!
Your summer cover page doesn't have to be all bright and doodly, there is a way to do it in a more minimalist and aesthetic way. Just take a look at this incredible cover page for inspiration!
This is such a dreamy and magical cover page! I love the colorful clouds the creator used here. I think altogether it looks like an incredible adventure to have this summer!
Tropical theme is perfect for summer, and if you want to do it in an easy way, try using tropical leaves for decoration. That way, you can create a bright theme but have pretty easy-to-he treplicate doodles.
Everything about this cover page, from daisies to the colors used, screams of summer. And just by looking at it, I start hearing some fun summer music and get in the mood for an adventure.
Traveling around the country in a camper van sounds like a perfect summer adventure, and this makes it a beautiful idea for a summer cover page.
I always thought summer is the time when you take the most pictures, so it could be fun to explore a photo theme. Plus, you can add some summer-themed photos inside your polaroids to extra highlight the season.
Ice cream is never more delicious than it is in the summer, and this is a beautiful cover page that shows an unfortunately melting ice cream cone.
This creator called this theme "summer in a jar" and I think it is a perfect description, since they added summer florals inside it. I also really like this fun Dutch door idea.
Fireflies are summer creatures, at least I think so, making them a perfect theme for your summer Bullet Journal pages. I also love how the creator used metallic paints to make the shine extra sparkly.
House plants are always a fun theme to create; they are easy to draw, there are many different ones to choose from, and you can play around so much with the shapes of the pots or vases.
Camping is definitely a perfect activity for summer months, and it 's an interesting and detailed theme to explore in summer. This beautiful cover page is at least one way to approach it, and I love all the details and elements the creator included.
I'm actually more sure if this is just a fish-themed cover page or if it's all about "Finding Nemo", but either way, it's a perfect example of a sea life theme to try this summer.
Whether it's Independence Day fireworks in the USA or summer festival fireworks in Japan, it's a fun idea for a cover page to explore this season, and here is just one way to bring it to life.
