Stationery Recommendations
Let’s talk about some stationery first, those amazing little supplies that can help you create the magic in your Bullet Journal pages.
Of course, you can use anything you already have, but here are some of my recommendations for the extra items you’ll enjoy using.
- Fineliners. These are the blood of every Bullet Journal page, allowing you to draw, doodle, and divide your Bullet Journal page with style. I recommend Sakura Pigma Micron; they have dark black archival ink and very smooth writing.
- Markers. Of course, you’ll need something that adds color to your pages if colorful is the vibe you’re looking for. I’d recommend Crayola Super Tips – they have 100 different colors, so you definitely will be able to find the ones that fit your style, plus they are pretty affordable.
- Brush pens. Those are not must-haves, but brush lettering is a beautiful touch to add to your romantic pages. I’d recommend Tombow Fudenosuke for small brush tips and Tombow Dual Brush pens for larger brush tips and more color options.
- Washi tapes. These are always a great way to easily add creativity and style to your Bullet Journal pages, and I think that is especially true for Valentine’s Day pages. Check out Washi Tape Shop for some roles to purchase; they have all the possible styles and sizes, so you’ll definitely find one that fits your aesthetic.
- Stickers. These are one more fun way to add a spark of decoration to your Bullet Journal pages. There are plenty of styles and designs to fit anyone’s needs and aesthetics! Here are just a few finds: Valentine’s Day Coffee sticker sheet, Love Letters Sticker Sheet, Cute Cat Valentine’s Day Sticker Sheet, and Valentines Day Planner Stickers.
Ok, we’ve covered the basics, and you have all the supplies you need, so let’s get started on the inspirations!
Bullet Journal Valentine's Day Themes
The only limit to what you can do with your Bullet Journal theme is your imagination. Literally, anything can be a theme, and I gathered here 17 inspirations that are close to the Valentine's Day spirit to get your creativity going.
All these pages are by different creators, so you get to see not just different themes but different styles and approaches to decorating your journey.
Take these as ideas, see what elements you like, and mix them all up into your own unique theme.
Let's dive in!
I think this is a lovely theme for the month, especially since love does feel like magic sometimes! And this creator made it look so beautiful and gentle with the wonderful colors. I also really like the small details, like washi tape with little hearts and small harts you can see among the vapor from the potion.
Valentine's Day is all about love, but it doesn't have to be romantic love. It might just as well be about self-love, and here comes the information for this cover page. I think it looks very stylish and cozy, and it has all the small details of self-love for me. Would you agree?
Whether it's your romantic partner or friends. I think there is an element to fate that brought you together and allowed you to build those loving relationships. So, it's a pretty fun and fitting theme for the season. Plus, I really love how the red of the string stands out against the more muted background.
Of course, hearts had to be one of the theme ideas in this list. And I love how the creator made every heart look so different with different expressions and different colors. The little quote on the right is also super cute and fits the theme.
There is something special about love letters. I love the physicality of it and how you can feel the love the person put into it when you receive it. So why not make it a monthly theme for February?
And there are many ways you can approach this theme, from heart-decorated stamps to little flowers inside envelopes.
There is something very special about Paris: the romantic feeling you get from seeing the Eiffel tower. It feels like it's a city of love, and I think it makes a fantastic theme,e for Valentine's Day.
When it comes to self-love, I think skincare is a big part of it. I know all my skincare products help me look and feel my best. But also, just spending sometime in the morning and evening applying all of them is like a very calming meditation.
There are many different brands and bottle designs out there, so you can really make a very creative and elaborate theme from this idea.
Picnik is such a romantic idea, so I think it's a lovely theme for February. I love that you can include so many cute food doodles into it, like cake and strawberries the creator used in this cover spread.
These candies are a classic when it comes to Valentine's Day, and considering they come in many colors and with different sayings on them, you can really play around with this idea.
In this particular cover page, I love how the creator went for brown colors instead of black and created such a cozy atmosphere.
Just like Paris, Venice is a very romantic place, and you can't think about love when taking a gondola ride. It's a very detailed and ambitious theme, but if you're up for it, I think it can be exceptional.
Music can be very romantic and full of love. And I like how the creator used little hearts on this cover page to make it clear this is all about love! The color scheme is also so soft and gentle.
Did I just watch too much anime, or are cherry blossoms really a very romantic thing? The gentle pinks and the rain of petals you get walking by a cherry tree on a windy day scream love to me.
Either way, even if you don't agree with me, you can add cherry blossoms in a heart shape to make it clear with the intention of the theme.
There are many different ways to show love, and I adore that this creator chose two lovely elephants to do it. Animals are actually a lovely way to show emotion, and you can use any you like! Right away, I'm thinking of two sea otters holding hands.
What screams more love and passion than chocolate-covered strawberries? For me, this is 100% about romantic love. Either way, it's a great theme to try out, and you basically just need three colors to create an entire theme.
This cover page screams romance and fancy celebratory dinner. It all looks very stylish, and I just imagine myself wearing a fancy dress with an open back and high heels. I think it's a fun theme, and you can play around with it so much!
Of course, Valentine's Day is all about sweets. And even though you mostly think of chocolates, I think any candy would work, especially if it's heart-shaped like the lollypops on these pages.
Last but not least is the idea of a makeup theme. I love it because doodling makeup is super fun, and you can play around with shapes and colors to make it truly yours.
Plus, for me, makeup is about self-love. I love makeup, and applying it is about making the day special and making me feel extra pretty. So I think it's a very fitting theme, would you agree?
