Plan With Me: May 2026 Bullet Journal Setup

Sharing is caring!

My May 2026 Bullet Journal setup is officially buzzing with excitement! Spring has fully sprung, and as the bright flowers finally bloom outside my window, I feel incredibly inspired to bring a little bit of that lively energy straight into my notebook.

This month, we are going all-in on a delightful bee theme. I have been absentmindedly sketching little honeycombs for the printable May setup, so it was only a matter of time before these industrious little workers swarmed my monthly spreads.

If your daily routine has felt a bit sluggish recently, this cheerful, honey-drenched aesthetic is exactly what you need to get organized and stay motivated. Grab your favorite yellow markers and a crisp fine-liner, because we are about to create some seriously sweet layouts that will help you tackle your to-do list with a happy, productive buzz.

In April, Terri on Patreon introduced me to “no mow” thing they have in May in the UK, which basically means you are taking a break and giving a chance for insects and bees to thrive, and she suggested we do a bee theme for May.

I followed her idea, and the printable monthly setup is bee-themed. And while creating it digitally, I realized I want to try it in my Bullet Journal as well. So here are the pages I came up with, and I hope you find some bright inspirations in them.

Stationery Used

In case you want to recreate my color scheme, here are all the supplies that I used for this setup. And the good news is that I used the minimum amount of supplies you can imagine!

  • Nuuna journalย โ€“ this is still the same journal I started in 2025, and I have plenty of pages left.
  • Altenew Fineliner Pensย โ€“ these are what I used for my fineliners this time. I tried them for the first time last month, and Iโ€™ve been absolutely loving them.
  • Pilot Dr. Grip Mechanical Pencil – I sketch everything in pencil first, and this one has the most comfortable grip I have ever experienced.
  • Zebra Mildliners – these are the markers I used for this setup, and I just used three colors – brown, yellow, and purple.

And that’s it, here is all I actually used. So let’s just dive in and see how it came out.

May Bee Bullet Journal Setup

First of all, a disclaimer – this setup is extremely basic and easy to replicate. I was creating it at 9 pm on a Sunday, May 3rd, so I needed something easy. I think I should start a series of videos on Bullet Journaling for lazy girls, because this is how I’ve been doing.

This setup also did not escape my usual issue with spelling and mistakes. So let’s take a look, welcome to my imperfect Bullet Journal.

Cover Page

We are starting with the cover page, and I actually quite like the way it turned out. Even though I’m still not that sold on using brown on the bee stripes instead of black.

This is the color I did, and so I stuck to it, but I feel like maybe a more traditional black striped would look better.

Monthly Log

For the monthly log, I used the same format I’ve been using for the last few months. It is very clear, very quick to set up, and gives me enough space to add my monthly to-do list and the mini calendar.

When I do a vertical monthly log, I add the date in the middle so I can divide the monthly planning into personal things (on the left) and work-related things (on the right).

Habit And Mood Tracker

This month, I also keep up with my habit and mood trackers. In case you don’t understand, the top big part is for eight habits I’m doing every day, and the separate little line is to color the boxes for my daily moods.

I’m still struggling to make filling out my trackers a routine, but I think I’ll just set an alarm for the same time each day so I get a reminder to fill them all out.

Gratitude Log

Yes, I missed the letter “E”. Probably because I was drawing letters and it was late enough that I hadn’t even noticed until I started editing the journal pictured for this blog post.

Do I hate this layout now that I noticed the error? Maybe a little bit. But I also feel like if I don’t think about it too much, I won’t notice. Hopefully, the warmth from a gratitude log will be enough to bring my attention away from the header.

Weekly Spread

Last but not least, here is a weekly schedule for the first week of May. This is actually my favorite layout from the entire monthly setup.

But I also keep looking at the doodle of the bee and thinking – that part by the head that I kept white, should it be colored? I feel like it should be maybe yellow? Or brown? Maybe I’ll experiment with it in the next weekly spread, but let me know in the comments what you think.

And this is my May, simple and fun enough to keep me excited and entertained as I plan.
