Stationery Recommendation
Even though you definitely can create any type of Bullet Journal page with just one black pen, it’s always more fun to use other supplies, such as pens, markers, and stationery, that make planning easier and more fun.
Here are a few recommendations for the supplies you’ll need for creating those beautiful journal pages;
- A journal. You’ll obviously need a journal, and if you are still looking for one, I have a few recommendations. Your hours don’t have to be overly expensive either; you can choose one that fits our needs and budget. I’d recommend Archer and Olive for high-end journals (and you can use code MASHA10 for 10% OFF) and a Lemome notebook for a more budget version.
- Fineliners. These are the blood of your Bullet Journal pages, and I recommend trying Sakura Pigma Micron. They also come in a set with different nib sizes so you get a wider variety of line thicknesses.
- Markers. If you’re obsessed with color like I am, chances are you’ll want to add color to your journal pages as well. Your choice of markers will depend on the colors you prefer, but my top recommendations are Crayola Super Tips, which can also be used for brush lettering, and Zebra Mildliners.
- Brush pens. Something to add brush lettering or maybe even color to your pages! I recommend Tombow Fudenosuke for a small brush tip and Tombow Dual Brush for a larger brush tip.
- Washi tape. I love washi tape and how it allows you to easily decorate your Bullet Journal pages in no time at all. Thankfully, there are washi tapes with all types of colors and patterns, so you can fund something that fits our aesthetics.
- Stencils. Stencils are another amazing tool that will help with you journaling. There are stencils for anything, from adding lettering and drawings to your pages to more practical stencils that help you set up your trackers and such. I’d recommend starting out with this 30-piece set of affordable stencils.
I can talk about stationery for hours, but let me cut myself off, and let’s go back to Bullet Journal pages. Now that you have your journal and all the other supplies ready, it’s time to choose the pages you’ll want to create!
Monthly Spread Bullet Journal Ideas
There are so many different monthly pages you can add to your journal; the limit is literally your imagination!
But the goal of this post is to get you started and help you get inspired to create the only setup that fits our needs, so I'll be covering up here 11 ideas.
Let's dive in!
Starting with my favorite page - a cover page. It is usually the first one you create at the beginning of the month, and that's the one that can set the mood for the month and display the theme idea for the whole layout.
Next up is a monthly log - a spread that is your place to plan the entire month, a bird's eye view of the entire month. It often comes with a monthly to-do list that can also be very useful and helpful for your monthly planning.
Next up is a habit tracker! This is a wonderful and very useful spread to help you track your habits. It's a powerful tool to make sure you establish powerful habits that help you every day get closer to your goals and your best self.
Mood trackers are there to help; you monitor your moods and, therefore, work on your mental health and self-care. I lie making mood trackers themed according to a monthly theme like in this example, it's all based on a monthly sushi theme I had.
A gratitude log is one more page that can help you with mental health and self-love. It helps you build a better mindset by writing something happy and positive that happened to you every day!! And just like that, every day, you build a more and more positive outlook on life.
Keeping track of your spending and finances is the key to ensuring you reach your financial goals and build the independence you want. The easiest way to start doing it is monthly, and having an outlook like this one will help you get a better understanding of how you spend your money and what changes you might need to make.
Sleep is extremely important for mental and physical health, but it's often the first thing to get pushed aside when things get busy. Here is an example of a monthly sleep tracker that will help you get a better look at your sleep habits and any changes they might need for you to be more rested.
If productivity is something you want to work on this month, a. time log can be spread that will be super helpful. When you use a time log and figure out how you spend your time, you'll have a better idea of how to adjust your schedule so you don't waste as much. time as you usually do on social media.
It's a pretty fun idea to create a playlist spread for the month. Music is perfect for creating the mood, and it's also another chance for you to get creative and doodle more things on the theme.
If you're serious about your reading, you might enjoy having a monthly reading tracker. this one has all the titles and statistics. I'm honestly very impressed by how much this person reads!
Last but not least is this fantastic page with a monthly recap. You can create a spread with monthly memories or use it for reviewing a month and seeing how far you went with your goals that month.
